Daily Thoughts 11-3-2017 Luke 14:2-3

"In front of him there was a man suffering from dropsy. Jesus spoke to the scholars of the law and Pharisees in reply, asking, "Is it lawful to cure on the sabbath or not?"" Luke‬ ‭14:2-3‬

How many of us judge others by the letter of the law?  Maybe it is a lifestyle that you see, maybe you recall their bad choices.  Jesus knows the whole story, He knows the cause and affect.  Like this man in the story, that was being condemned because of his sin.  Their belief in those times was sickness was because of sin, they were not the chosen people.  We are called to love, to love unconditionally.  This maybe a kind word, a compassionate look or to treat them like you would wanted to be treated.   We do not know the cause in some peoples lives, love them anyway and be part of the cure.  Don't add to their burden, their soul already knows the difference between good and evil.

Dear Lord, my heart aches for those who carry memories from their past that cause pain today.  I ask that You heal them of these events, cure them like You did in this event.  Help each of us see Your wonderful creation when we look upon another we might not agree with.  Bring peace into families that are separated for various reasons.  Thank You for loving me, a sinner, may I do Your will today as I live the life You have given me.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

Saint Malachy, pray for us.
