Daily Thoughts 12-7-2017 Isaiah 26:1-2

"On that day this song shall be sung in the land of Judah: "A strong city have we; he sets up victory as our walls and ramparts. Open up the gates that a righteous nation may enter, one that keeps faith." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26:1-2‬

Heart, God is calling us to have His heart.  You can have all the head knowledge and still not have what one really needs.  Think of a championship team, they all have one thing in common.  They have heart, they face whatever adversity that came their way and still overcame, this is heart.  What builds a strong city, heart.  If your heart is in the fight then you are in the fight.  Otherwise the winds will blow and the storms will come and you will be knocked down. Look at the heart of Jesus, It is His heart that His Mother Mary desires for each of us.

Prayer from morning liturgies of the hours
Lord God, you made Saint Ambrose
a teacher of the Catholic faith
and a pattern of apostolic fortitude.
Raise up in the church today
men after your own heart
to lead your people with wisdom and strength.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.  Amen

Mary, Heart of Jesus, pray for us.

Day 33 of morning glory, day 33 reflection.  We made it, maybe not perfectly but we made it, to God be the Glory!

Come Holy Spirit, living in Mary.  Enflame the fires of our hearts to burn for You.  Increase in us what we are lacking and fill us with Your graces to fight the Good Fight.

Tomorrow is consecration day, you are each invited to join us in High Hill, Texas at St Mary's Catholic Church.  She is the Queen of the painted churches and is a perfect spot to celebrate the Immaculate Conception of our Mother Mary.  Rosary will be said at 5:00 and mass to follow.   More details to come later today.  Bring a friend, bring a neighbor, bring a stranger but most importantly bring your heart.
