Daily Thoughts 2-28-2018 Jeremiah 18:19-20

"Do give heed to me, O LORD, And listen to what my opponents are saying! Should good be repaid with evil? For they have dug a pit for me. Remember how I stood before You To speak good on their behalf, So as to turn away Your wrath from them." ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭18:19-20‬

Did not Jesus do the same thing and did he not get repaid with evil.  Jeremiah was filled with the Spirit of God, trying to get others to turn from their wicked ways.  He knew that God would not tolerate their disobedience.  He spoke when it was unpopular, and he was persecuted for it but that didn't stop him.  In our own world, we too have a message that others need to hear.  Our choice is to speak truth or let our friends face the consequences of the evil they choose freely.  Some can deny God but there is no mistaken that evil is all around, it is on the news each day.  Do not be afraid to speak truth and help others find Christ, it is giving that we receive.  Lent is a time to reflect, it is also a time to act.  God is real and the gospel speaks truth, repent and believe, the kingdom of God is at hand.

Dear Father God, You never do anything without telling us first.  There are many in this world who testify to Your truth, may we heed Your voice and believe.  Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to rescue us, may we imitate Him today and share the joy that You have placed within.  May I not listen to the culture and continue to swim upstream.  You are all I need and all I want.  Bless a friend taking a test today and thank You for leading the lost home to You.  To God be the glory, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Peace, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-27-2018 Isaiah 1:19

"If you are willing, and obey, you shall eat the good things of the land;" Isaiah‬ ‭1:19‬

One of God's truths!  How often we miss things in life that are right in front of us.  We can obey and yet not be willing, we can be willing and not obey.  Abraham was both, he was willing and obeyed.  God will direct our paths, we must have faith, we must trust Him with our whole heart and we must be willing and follow His guidance.  "You hate discipline; you cast my words behind you!"
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭50:17‬.  He is the Good Father, what He asks of us is always for our best.  You ever told your kids this is for your own good knowing the outcome was what is best for them.  God operates in the same way but He knows the future.  Be willing and follow, even when it doesn't feel good.  Abraham, I am sure was asking why all the way up the mountain but He never stopped.

Dear Lord, I thank You this morning for Your guidance in my life.  I thank You for giving me the strength and the will to obey You.  I see the promised land and I want to get there, You are leading me on that path.  Prayers for a friend preparing for a test today, bless them with peace and the knowledge that You are by their side.  Thank You Lord for the discipline, You do know my future and I will follow and obey.  Praise be the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-26-2018 Luke 6:36-37

"Be merciful, just as [also] your Father is merciful. "Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven."  ‭Luke‬ ‭6:36-37‬

You ever question yourself?  I find myself doing that this morning.  Why am I writing these thoughts, who do I think that I am?  I am a child of God seeking perfection but falling short all the time.  In our own struggles we must learn to recognize the voice of God and the voice of the evil one.  Our Father who is loving and merciful will never condemn, He speaks life and truth.  The evil one wants you to judge, he wants you to condemn, he wants you not to forgive.  Be attentive to who you are listening to and know the difference between life and death, especially when it concerns your inner self.  His word is truth, follow it in all your ways.

Dear Heavenly Father breath life into these bones, give me a heart of compassion and an ear for truth.  Help me not to judge, help me not condemn, make me wise in Your ways so I maybe prepared for eternity.  Overcome my weaknesses and be my greatest strength.  I thank You God for the faithful, who dedicate their lives to You so we may learn and grow.  Bless this day with peace.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-25-2018 Mark 9:10

"So they kept the matter to themselves, questioning what rising from the dead meant." Mark‬ ‭9:10‬

Do you think about the meaning of rising from the dead is?  I have had the opportunity to sit in quiet reflection of some of the events of the past several years.  Life has taken on a new meaning and a different purpose.   Peter, John and James came to life in Christ, just as Jesus did, when they received the Holy Spirit.   Each day is different even when it is challenging.  We are each called to perfection in Christ, listen to His voice and respond.  You are called to life in the risen Lord, not to wallow in our transgressions.  "even when we were dead in our transgressions, brought us to life with Christ (by grace you have been saved)," Ephesians‬ ‭2:5‬.  Rise up and experience life in Christ.  Wow!

Dear Lord God, even in my weakness You are greater.  I thank You for all that You do for us.  I thank You for Your Mother Mary, pointing us to You.   I thank You for this day and the opportunity to praise You and to receive You into Your temple.  Help me be Holy as You are Holy.  Continue to perfect me this day and may I always thank You for the purification You provide.  Prayers for the upcoming retreat.  May they hear Your voice and be transfigured to new life in the Risen Christ.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-24-2018 Matthew 5:46a

"For if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have?" Matthew‬ ‭5:46a‬

Love is a decision and not a feeling.  Have you considered that God puts people in your path for you to help and share your gifts and talents with.  Even people who you wouldn't normally hang with.  Do you notice them?  Look with eyes of compassion, and pray about it.  That person who is hurting or in need that keeps being placed in front of you, you may be an answer to their prayer in their life.  It maybe a chance encounter and you are an instrument of God's love.  "He heard this and said, "Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9:12‬.  Pay attention to your surroundings and give what Jesus gave you, love in action.  He died on a cross for you, will you die for Him as you live?

Dear Father God, You continue to amaze me in the simplest of ways.  I love You.  Lead me this day to do Your will and give You away.  You are love at its purest form.  Be my peace in a world in chaos, be my protection in a world suffering.  Strengthen me for Your purpose.  Thank You for the people You place in my life who share their joy with me.  Thank You for their witness of love, be their peace and their cure.  Bless this day Lord.  I ask this in Your most Holy name, King of Glory, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-23-2018 Matthew 5:20

"I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:20‬

That is a pretty tall order considering the scribes and Pharisees continued the tradition of the Jewish faith.  In their own minds they were right and Jesus was wrong.  He wasn't following the customs, He was challenging them.   How many of us follow a tradition but don't follow its true purpose.  Jesus lived the tradition every day of His life.  He was God and the perfect Jewish man going into the world to preach the good news not the letter of the law.  I can go to church twice a week and miss the mark.   It isn't just the tradition, it is the tradition and then applying it daily as you live, in my opinion.  "Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world." Is what I live by and I trust in the Good Shepherd to lead me.

Dear Heavenly Father, I enjoy Your traditions and I pray I am putting them into practice each day You give me.  I can not measure myself by someone else's standards but only Yours that You give me to do.  I thank You for the ear to listen and the will to respond, it brings joy to my heart in keeping Your word.  Forgive me for my failures and encourage me to continue trying.  I pray for my weaknesses and more than anything, I trust in You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Faith, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-22-2018 Matthew 16:15-16

"He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter said in reply, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." ‭Matthew‬ ‭16:15-16‬

I love this question and I love the Truth!  Peter gave a great answer and he lived it.  He didn't always get it right but Peter lived it.  He was fearful, he was courageous, he lived it.  The world around Peter denied the truth, it twisted the truth and Peter continued to walk in faith even when he felt weak, he never denied Christ in his actions.  Jesus is the Messiah, He is the Son of the Living God, He is my God.  I will live for Him, I will walk for Him and I will die to self for Him, even when I don't want too.  What about you?  I challenge you this morning to proclaim the Messiah in your life.  He is the Truth, the Life and the Way, be bold, be courageous, go and give Him a way.  Help those who are lost and can't answer the question.  "Who do YOU say that I Am."

Dear Heavenly Father, You are everywhere, You surround me with Your love.  I thank You for Your teaching, I thank You for the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  Lord, use me today to be an instrument of Your peace, inflame my heart to speak for You.  Be greater in me, than me.  I pray for those who deny the truth, who are lost in the world and are seeking happiness.  Shine Your light through all those who claim You as theirs.   I pray for the upcoming men's retreat, come Holy Spirit and make Your presence known.   I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Victory, pray for us.

What amazing love God shows us if we would just step out on faith and live for Him.  He always loves us but we deny that love when we don't act.

Daily Thoughts 2-21-2018 Daniel 3:95

"Nebuchadnezzar exclaimed, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who sent his angel to deliver the servants that trusted in him; they disobeyed the royal command and yielded their bodies rather than serve or worship any god except their own God." ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3:95‬

Yielding my body, why is that so difficult?  Maybe I don't trust God enough yet and that is why I struggle.  Maybe I listen to my flesh and it doesn't want to yield.  Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego forsaked everything, they ignored their bodies, they ignored their thoughts and they trusted in God alone.  We each make choices each day to be tried by fire or give in to fire.  Whom will you serve?  The flesh or God in Heaven?

Dear Lord God, I need strength, I am weak but You are strong.  I want to be strong, I will be strong for You are in me.   May I yield my body to You today, my Great King.  May I walk with You in the fire and not be harmed.  You are my strength and You are my hope, be my counsel as we walk together.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-20-2018 Matthew 6:12, 14-15

"and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors;

"If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions." Matthew‬ ‭6:12, 14-15‬

Jesus gives His disciples instruction and He
repeats himself for good reason because He knows what we need to hear.  He asks you this morning is there unforgiveness  you are holding on to?  Are you waiting on someone to say they are sorry before you will approach them.  If so then God will hold back as well.   Forgiving those closest to us is the hardest.  They are the ones who should love us unconditionally but that isn't always the case.  What relationships is God bringing to you to examine?  It is lent and a time to reflect upon our journey, He knows your heart and so do you.  If it hurts that much then give it to Him, ask Him to heal you, then forgive them.  Give it away so He can give it to you, Love is a decision not a feeling.

Dear Heavenly Father, I see the pain that we carry around, makes us see the pain we cause others.  Help me see where I am blinded by my own righteousness.  Heal the wounds of those who are hurt so they can forgive.  Teach us Lord and lead us home to You.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-19-2018 Leviticus 19:2

"Speak to the whole Israelite community and tell them: Be holy, for I, the LORD your God, am holy." Leviticus‬ ‭19:2‬

What if everyone lived their life based upon this verse?  You can't turn on the news without some controversy being blasted in your ear.  The solutions we hear do not involve being holy or God.  I wonder if that is what Moses seen when he looked out, a people in need of the one true answer to all their problems.  Love conquers all, nothing else will.  Live today to be holy, look at your neighbor with eyes of compassion, think of other before yourself.  Put God first in your life and just be you.  The answer is Jesus to what ails God's people.  Stop.  Are your actions holy or are they adding to the chaos?

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for this world, it is in need of Your Son Jesus.  Help me be like Him today, help me walk like He does, Help me avoid temptation like He does, help me love like He does.  I thank You for Your protection and I thank You for another day.  I ask for the grace to be holy, to think before responding, to think of other before self especially.  Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-18-2018

""This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel."" Mark‬ ‭1:15‬

Nothing happened until Jesus was baptized by water and the Spirit.  And then everything happened, He walked the earth changing lives and showing others God.  So how does this verse apply to us?   Nothing happens until we are baptized by water and the Holy Spirit!  Then everything happens.  Our daily walk is no different than Jesus's, are you living with Him?  The Spirit moves each of us but we have to be willing.  We don't have to be ready, we don't have to be perfect, we don't have to have time, we just need to be willing.  Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  It isn't you doing it for we are sinners, He is the Righteous One.  ""This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel."

Dear Father God, Thank You for driving me into the desert.  Thank You for a willing spirit.  Thank You for this day, I am not perfect but I am ready and willing for You are in me.  You make my heart beat, You give me breath, You open my ears and You give me sight.  I am Yours so use me as needed.  Bless those who are willing Lord with grace, May they hear Your voice and ponder Your word.  My prayer is this day Lord, it may not be much but I give it to You.  I ask this through the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Victory, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-17-2018 Psalms 86:11

"Teach me, LORD, your way that I may walk in your truth, single-hearted and revering your name." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭86:11‬

A group of man began a morning fellowship yesterday morning early.  I was the one who was responsible for the reflection, after I finished we sat in quiet contemplation and just listened.  "Repent and believe in the Gospel" was all I heard when I closed my eyes.  When we place ourselves at the Masters feet, He does teach us His ways and over time we walk in truth.  We may believe we are doing everything right but if we are not listening then maybe we are not even on the path.

I encourage you to be part of a bible group that meets regularly.  Being part of a community helps us grow and learn from one another.  If you would like to know more, ask.

Dear Lord, I am surrounded by You this morning, the music is beautiful.  I thank You for the time to think, to contemplate and to listen to Your direction.   Thank You Lord for keeping me on the path and directing my path, You are the Keeper of my soul and I trust in You for my salvation.  Bless this day Father, I offer it up to You, it is my song, maybe a little off key but still the song You placed within me.  Special prayers for a friend who just found out he has cancer, may he be blessed with an over abundance of grace and may Your healing hand be upon him Lord God.  I ask this in Jesus's name, the Great Healer, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-16-2018 Psalms 51:5-6a

"For I know my transgressions; my sin is always before me. Against you, you alone have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your eyes" ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51:5-6‬a

In your Easter journey ponder this verse today.  God speaks to each of us, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, [then] I will enter his house and dine with him, and he with me." Revelation‬ ‭3:20‬

Hiding from sin, ignoring it or even TRYING to block it out doesn't work.  Justifying it doesn't work either.  As you reflect upon this verse, what is God saying to you.  What is He asking of you on your Easter journey.  Go back and reread the verse.

For me, I know He wants me to grow and change, to be able to rejoice with Him on Easter Sunday.  I have to recognize my faults and change in order to truly experience the Risen Lord.  Rend your hearts not your garments.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am blessed to know You and be completely open to You.  Help me see the interior me and show me where I need to clean house,  I know there is dust on the floor and dirt in the corner.   Come and show me how to be more like You.   Show me the sins I try and conceal or deny, I want to bring them to the cross so they no longer burden You or me.  Prayers for a friend in battle, prayers for a friend trying to justify sin and prayers for a friend who is fighting the good fight as he struggles with cancer, may You bless each of them with Your grace.   Thank You Jesus for showing us the way, may I live it and walk it this day.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-15-2018 Deuteronomy 30:15

"See, I have today set before you life and good, death and evil." ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:15‬

Free will, we each choose our path in life each day. How do we respond to the situations in our life, are we more important than the other? Can I be in the desert and still be surrounded by the world? Yes! I found myself yesterday listening to my response to situations, my choices weren't always good. I observed others going thru life not even aware of their surroundings. Being in the desert is a choice even as you live life. Be aware of your choices and choose good over evil, choose life over death. We respond to the world thru the power of the tongue, what choices are you making?

Dear Triune God, help me continue to grow where I deny self and live as You did. May I be sensitive to my responses and make ever effort to acknowledge You in my choices. I want to hear the sand blowing, the distant sound of a bird, the sound of my own breath, make me super alert to my surroundings. Prayers for a friend that isn't making good choices, help them respond and not react. Bless the day Lord, I thank You for my guardian angel. Amen

Daily Thoughts 2-14-2018 Joel 2:15-16

"Blow the horn in Zion! Proclaim a fast, call an assembly! Gather the people, sanctify the congregation; Assemble the elderly; gather the children, even infants nursing at the breast;" ‭Joel‬ ‭2:15-16a‬

Today we begin our journey into the desert as it is Ash Wednesday.  Today we proclaim a fast, we gather as a Christian community and we will be blessed with the sign of our faith.  "For you are dust, and to dust you shall return." ‭Genesis‬ ‭3:19‬.  Adam was given eternity but lost it due to temptation and we must become like Jesus to enter Heaven.

"Rend your hearts, not your garments" Joel‬ ‭2:13‬a.  It is not the outer actions God will consider but it is a open heart to His love and grace that He seeks.  Decide to go into the desert, fast and make room for God this Lenten season.  There is a Joyous reward waiting for you on Easter Sunday.

Dear Father God, I love the depth of Your word especially when  it comes alive.  I ask for a special grace for those who go into the desert, open our hearts to You and Your plan.  Send Your angels to minister to us and keep us safe.  Today is a new day, help each of us see how unique and special You created us be.   May we seek You out when surrounded by the quiet.  I offer up a special prayer for a friend whom You have gifted for Your purpose, give him the insight He desires and help him see prayer being answered all around him.  I ask these things in Your most holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-13-2018 James 1:14

"Rather, each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire." ‭James‬ ‭1:14‬

In order for temptation to have any effect we have to give it power.   Why are some enticed by drugs or sex and others aren't?   The person begins the dance with their thoughts, thoughts lead to actions, actions to sin and eventually sin to death.  The mind is a wonderful think that you have control over, renew it with the word of God.   Change your thinking so that the desire isn't to please oneself but to please God.  Then temptation will have no effect, you will be like Jesus in the desert and say no.  Learn from Christ, go read Luke 4:1-13, Jesus never entertained the thought, He stopped it before it entered.

Dear Heavenly Father, You always know what to say that helps us learn from You.  I thank You for the strength to say no to temptation, to live my life that seeks to please You.  I ask for prayers for those who are entrapped by temptation, give them courage to seek You and overcome the devil.  Show them Jesus and how he fought the devil so they can live in true happiness and not the false pretense of moments of pleasure.  Bless this day Lord and thank You for Your words.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-12-2018 John 14:6

"Jesus said to him, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." ‭‭John‬ ‭14:6‬

I find myself preparing for lent this year, contemplating the life of Christ.  Not normal for me, I would stumble into lent.  The verse above asks us to do that, to consider the path of the Lamb of God.  He is true God and true man but for Him to be reunited with the Father, He had to do His will.  Not an easy task but He did.  None of us will face what He faced but we will each be prepared for heaven in our own way.   Will we walk as Jesus did or will we seek a lie?  "Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials,".  James‬ ‭1:2.  ‬Ash Wednesday is two days away, is the Spirit drawing you into the desert to prepare you as He did His Son, Jesus?   Walk the way of Christ and find life.

Dear Father God, prepare me as You did Your Son.  You gave Him everything He needed to be reunited with You.  Give me a willing Spirit, give me insight and feed me truth.   I thank You for Your love and I look forward to the day.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-11-2018 Leviticus 13:45

"The garments of one afflicted with a scaly infection shall be rent and the hair disheveled, and the mustache covered. The individual shall cry out, "Unclean, unclean!" ‭Leviticus‬ ‭13:45‬

In the Old Testament the people were concerned with outer appearance, they were taught leprosy was the result of sin.  Today we are still concerned with outer appearances but we cover up the sin thinking there is no consequence.  The world is still teaching the same lie.

Leprosy is contagious and so is sin.  "Do not be led astray: "Bad company corrupts good morals." ‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:33‬.  Jesus wasn't concerned with the outer appearance as He is with the inner self.  Over time sin will appear on the outer self just like leprosy.  It shows up in ways we may not realize, like anger or anxiety or selfishness or self created chaos, it is a lack of love.   Just like in the time of Jesus, He is the cure to be made clean.   "A leper came to him [and kneeling down] begged him and said, "If you wish, you can make me clean." Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand, touched him, and said to him, "I do will it. Be made clean." ‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:40-41‬.  You wanted an answer to your question and confession is the cure, go to Jesus and be made clean.

Dear Heavenly Father, Your words are truth, we live in a world that teaches lies.  Help me discern truth, help me see the lies in my own life and rid me of sin.  I love spending time with You, I enjoy seeking You out, You bring peace into my spirit.  Thank You for loving me, caring for me and guiding me.  You are the cure for all things even the unseen.   Bless this day and bless Your people, they are rising up to build Your Church.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Confessors, pray for us.

A great song with tremendous memories!

Daily Thoughts 2-10-2018 Psalms 106:20-21

"They exchanged their glory for the image of a grass-eating bull. They forgot the God who had saved them, who had done great deeds in Egypt," Psalms‬ ‭106:20-21‬

Who do you follow?  I think about the ways we separate ourselves from God.  The choices we make each day to either have Him in our lives or to ignore His glory and live life without any real guidance or protection.  Our glory, our joy, our happiness comes from following God, the one true God.  Wander away and follow some other god, money, greed, lust, pride, anger, we will get lost in a pile of dung.

God made each of us, special and unique, with a purpose.  "And now, saith the Lord that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the Lord, and my God shall be my strength." Isaiah‬ ‭49:5‬.  The choice is yours, what is the grass eating bull feeding you, let God be your strength and grow in happiness.

Dear Heavenly Father, You are mine, You are my God and I will follow You to the ends of the world.  I am Your servant and You are my Protector.  I thank You for wonderful friends, a roof over my head and more than anything, Joy in my heart.  May Your Holy Spirit penetrate hearts that have wandered off and bring them back to You.  You, who brings peace, will be their strength for You are real!  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-9-2018 Mark 7:36

"He ordered them not to tell anyone. But the more he ordered them not to, the more they proclaimed it."  ‭Mark‬ ‭7:36‬

Why is it we don't listen to God?  Jesus was speaking to the crowd after he healed the deaf and mute man.   They didn't listen to Jesus and did the exact opposite.  "As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, "Do not tell the vision to anyone until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭17:9‬. This passage is from the transfiguration and the disciples dis as Jesus said.  I share both of these verses to show the contrast to those whom are in covenant union with God and those who are not.  When God speaks, we have free will to choose whom we are to obey, who is King of your heart.  Learn to listen and obey the Masters voice.

Dear Father God, You know we are only human striving for eternity.  Open our ears so we can hear You and obey.  I thank You for the struggle to comprehend this morning, it gave us more time together.  I pray for a friend who is overcoming challenges in his life and is learning to heed Your voice.  Help him see the difference in being obedient to Your will.  Show him the peace You have given others who have chosen You to be the King of their hearts.  Bless this day Lord with peace, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 2-8-2017 Mark 7:24

"Jesus got up and went away from there to the region of Tyre. And when He had entered a house, He wanted no one to know of it; yet He could not escape notice." ‭Mark‬ ‭7:24‬

Was Jesus trying to avoid people?  No I don't think He was, His fame had grown and He couldn't go anywhere unnoticed.  I believe Jesus was seeking some quiet time so He could refresh His Spirit.  The world was demanding so much from Him and as a man He was limited.  To me, this verse speaks of His humanity, put yourself in His shoes, no matter where He went He was sought out.  How does God go unnoticed?  He is everywhere so I guess the question becomes, do you notice Him or are You seeking Him out.  Doesn't take long to find the Creator if we are looking.

Lord God, You are everywhere and are easily found if we are looking.  I can relate to Your humanity, seeking that quiet place.  Help us find You in the quiet space, help us seek You out so we can turn to You.  As I live this day Lord may I remember You are never far and You are always there to help.  I thank You for answering prayer, Life is never easy but with You to guide us, it is rewarding and joyful and most importantly peaceful with You by our sides.  Fill our hearts with the understanding of Your presence this day.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Mother Most Gentle, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-7-2018 Psalms 37:5-6

"Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will act And make your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like noonday." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:5-6‬

God sure has a funny sense of humor, He must of not liked my first reflection and He is having me start over.  He acted for me.   It goes to committing your way to God for you are trusting your way to Him.  He is guiding you and leading you to do the right thing.  Right always wins out in the end, even when it feels like you are losing.  Look at Jesus, He did everything right and they still hung Him on a cross only to find Him shinning three days later.  You too will have your day as long as you do everything right to the best of your abilities.

Dear Lord, Thank You for having me start over, I am glad You temper my spirit.  Guide my actions today Lord as You have guided my thoughts this morning.  I ask for the wisdom of Soloman to know when to speak and to know what to say so I am always walking in righteousness.  I thank You for having my back and leading me, help each of us see You in action this day.  Help us guard our tongues when injustice comes up.  May our response always be done out of love just as Jesus loves each of us being crucified for our sins.  May I not add to His pain today.  I ask this in Your most Holy Name, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-6-2018 1 Kings 8:27

""Is God indeed to dwell on earth? If the heavens and the highest heavens cannot contain you, how much less this house which I have built!" ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭8:27‬

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b. "Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" 1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:16‬. Do you carry Him into your day and does He have the place of honor in your life. We each go into our day with a purpose and mission to accomplish. This maybe to drive a truck, sit at a desk and work, prepare food, stay at home and take care of the kids, or be an electrician or plumber. We all do different things but do we carry God with us everywhere we go. When you respond to others is it as God would or as you would?Jesus tells us: "And He said to him, " ' YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ' YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.'" Matthew‬ ‭22:37-39‬. Loving our neighbor is building God's temple in our own hearts. Think about your actions today are they building the temple of God or tearing it down? Our negative actions or remarks, really hurt us because we have removed God from His temple and put ourselves there. Before you know it, God isn't even a second thought for you are king. You are building His temple a little each day.

Dear Lord God, we start another day to get it right. I give You, Your place of honor within my heart. May I listen to You before I respond. May I see as You would see. May I trust in You for my future and not be concerned with others actions but only my own. I ask for forgiveness when I mess up and may I learn to do as You do, for You are at the helm. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother Most Pure, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-5-2018 1 King’s 8:9

"There was nothing in the ark but the two stone tablets which Moses had put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the Israelites after they went forth from the land of Egypt." 1 Kings‬ ‭8:9‬

The Ark of the Covenant contained the Word of God.  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John‬ ‭1:1‬.  What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race;" John‬ ‭1:4‬.  "And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father's only Son, full of grace and truth."
‭‭John‬ ‭1:14‬.   "Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink." John‬ ‭6:53-55‬. "I have provided there a place for the ark in which is the covenant of the LORD that he made with our ancestors when he brought them out of the land of Egypt."" 1 Kings‬ ‭8:21‬.  God continues to provide a place for His covenant, are you in communion with Him?

Dear Father God, You have never forsaken us and continue to feed us manna from Heaven.  May I accept the tasks at hand today, may I live the life You give me and accept the results as Yours.  May we all recognize You in Your sacred space and prepare room for you in our day.  Bless this day and protect us this coming week.   I ask that You strengthen my will power and I pray for the Sanders family.   In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Have a blessed Monday!

Daily Thoughts 2-4-2018 1 Corinthians 9:16

"For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for I am under compulsion; for woe is me if I do not preach the gospel." ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭9:16‬

When you have found the pearl of great joy there is a desire to share that joy with others.  It isn't done for any reason than to help them find what you have found.  The Word of God is Christ, He is the one who changes lives and cast out demons.  Knowing He is the one who saves, He is the pearl and He lives in You.  He gives you the strength and wisdom to be His voice.  Like Jesus, take time to sit still and prepare His temple to speak.  Woe is me if I do not.

Dear Heavenly Father, Your words speak to me, they speak salvation, they speak life, they speak of hope and of joy, they provide meaning to the trials I face.  Unbridle my tongue and give me words to speak, use me in what ever capacity that You need, for I am like clay in the potters hand being molded each day.  Thank You God for peace and understanding.  I thank You in advance for answering prayer and I thank You for being the answer to our prayer.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Hope, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-3-2018 Mark 3:34

"When Jesus went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things." Mark‬ ‭6:34‬

Do you have compassion for others?  Do you see a need and turn towards it or turn away.  Jesus, the Great Teacher never turned away, even when He was busy, or tired or overwhelmed.  The focus is never on His own comfort but upon His other self.  I believe this is something we grow into, you can't give what you don't have.  Now this isn't an excuse to turn away.  If the Master is calling you, You know it.   As long as You listen and respond, He will give you what you need.  So you always have what you need as long as you have Him.  "" I was asleep but my heart was awake. A voice! My beloved was knocking:.  ‭‭Song of Solomon‬ ‭5:2‬a

Dear Heavenly Father, the need is great and the workers are few, You knock yet they can not hear You.  Speak to the hearts that are awake, may they be open to You.  Open doors God and remove what doesn't help.  Purify us so we can help, encourage us so we can make a difference through You.  Thank You for the rain, the land is parched and is in need of water.  I pray for a troubled young man seeking help, You know his name, I pray for a family not in agreement, You know their names, I ask that Jesus intervene and have compassion upon them.  Thank You God for another day to rise to Your voice, I hear You and I heed Your voice.  Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-2-2018 Luke 2:38

"At that very moment she came up and began giving thanks to God, and continued to speak of Him to all those who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:38‬

Something a little different this morning, find a comfortable spot, sit perfectly still, breath slowly and deeply and contemplate the words above as you listen to this video.  https://youtu.be/2gSugruC1jQ
You are in the scene as Mary and Joesph bring the child Jesus into the temple, you see Anna giving thanks.

In our own lives, it doesn't always go the way we plan it, but as the song goes God is perfect in all of His ways.  Learn to give thanks for all things in life even the bumps.  Without bumps God doesn't get to work His plan.  When we concentrate on God daily we begin to see His plan and what He wants for us.  We begin to see our prayers at work and we see Him.  When we love Him and we see Him we will speak of Him often, we will share what He gives us for He is a Good Good Father!!!!  Anna had seen God long before He came into the temple.

Lord God, I thank You this morning, I thank You for Your perfect plan, I thank You for a willing spirit.  I thank You for teaching me to listen, to sit still and to enjoy the journey.  I pray for those going thru the bumps, may they recognize You in the bumps and learn to give thanks.  I pray for those who are troubled, hold them Lord so they feel Your love.  Bless this day Lord, May You always be on my lips and use me as You need to.  Amen.

Mary, Queen of Good Counsel, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 2-1-2018 1 Kings 2:4

"so that the LORD may carry out His promise which He spoke concerning me, saying, 'If your sons are careful of their way, to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.'" 1 Kings‬ ‭2:4‬

Are you setting the example that King David set?  "He said to him, "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:37‬.  We all know David wasn't perfect but I would say he walked before God in truth and when he didn't, he turned back to him.  Your choices and decisions impact not only yourself but also several generations.  Your children are watching and learning.  Are they seeing someone who loves the Lord with all their heart.  Do they see someone who worships God?   We pass many things onto the next generation, the most important one is our faith and our love of God.   Continue fighting the good fight, never forget it is never to late to begin again because Jesus tells us: "I will give the victor the right to sit with me on my throne, as I myself first won the victory and sit with my Father on his throne." ‭Revelation‬ ‭3:21‬.  You are the son or daughter of The King.

Dear Lord God, I strive to love You with all my heart and at times I get distracted.  Help me walk with You closer each day.  Share your Fatherly advise when I turn to You and through others when our paths cross.  May I set a good example for my own children like my father has done for me.  Bless those men who are going above and beyond to shepherd Your children, strengthen them for the journey.  Increase our love for You and may You always be upon our thoughts.   I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Ark of The Covenant, pray for us.
