Daily Thoughts 2-16-2018 Psalms 51:5-6a

"For I know my transgressions; my sin is always before me. Against you, you alone have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your eyes" ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51:5-6‬a

In your Easter journey ponder this verse today.  God speaks to each of us, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, [then] I will enter his house and dine with him, and he with me." Revelation‬ ‭3:20‬

Hiding from sin, ignoring it or even TRYING to block it out doesn't work.  Justifying it doesn't work either.  As you reflect upon this verse, what is God saying to you.  What is He asking of you on your Easter journey.  Go back and reread the verse.

For me, I know He wants me to grow and change, to be able to rejoice with Him on Easter Sunday.  I have to recognize my faults and change in order to truly experience the Risen Lord.  Rend your hearts not your garments.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am blessed to know You and be completely open to You.  Help me see the interior me and show me where I need to clean house,  I know there is dust on the floor and dirt in the corner.   Come and show me how to be more like You.   Show me the sins I try and conceal or deny, I want to bring them to the cross so they no longer burden You or me.  Prayers for a friend in battle, prayers for a friend trying to justify sin and prayers for a friend who is fighting the good fight as he struggles with cancer, may You bless each of them with Your grace.   Thank You Jesus for showing us the way, may I live it and walk it this day.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
