""Is God indeed to dwell on earth? If the heavens and the highest heavens cannot contain you, how much less this house which I have built!" 1 Kings 8:27
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b. "Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" 1 Corinthians 3:16. Do you carry Him into your day and does He have the place of honor in your life. We each go into our day with a purpose and mission to accomplish. This maybe to drive a truck, sit at a desk and work, prepare food, stay at home and take care of the kids, or be an electrician or plumber. We all do different things but do we carry God with us everywhere we go. When you respond to others is it as God would or as you would?Jesus tells us: "And He said to him, " ' YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ' YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.'" Matthew 22:37-39. Loving our neighbor is building God's temple in our own hearts. Think about your actions today are they building the temple of God or tearing it down? Our negative actions or remarks, really hurt us because we have removed God from His temple and put ourselves there. Before you know it, God isn't even a second thought for you are king. You are building His temple a little each day.
Dear Lord God, we start another day to get it right. I give You, Your place of honor within my heart. May I listen to You before I respond. May I see as You would see. May I trust in You for my future and not be concerned with others actions but only my own. I ask for forgiveness when I mess up and may I learn to do as You do, for You are at the helm. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Mother Most Pure, pray for us.
