Numbers 11:29 dailythoughts.com 9-30-2018

"But Moses said to him, "Are you jealous for my sake? Would that all the LORD'S people were prophets, that the LORD would put His Spirit upon them!"" ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭11:29‬

This interaction came after two of the elders started prophesying, they were on the list but not with the group.  Are you on the list?  Do you speak enthusiastically of the Lord.  When others get around you do you share the joy of the Lord.  How would your world be different if you shared what God is giving you.  When we spend time in His presence the natural response is to give Him away.  It is easy when we are all together being of like mind but what about when you are not with the group of believers.  Are you constant even out in the wilderness?  "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:17‬

Dear Lord God, what an amazing time we live in.  Pour out Your Spirit upon Your faithful, magnify You within us and animate You in our thoughts, our actions and our speech.  The forest is dry and thirsty and desires a new song that brings new life into their spirit.  You can move mountains with the faith of a mustard seed.  I praise You and bless You this day with You in my Spirit.  Praise be the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Jesus, pray for us.

Revelation 12:7-8

"Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back, but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven." ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12:7-8‬

Can you stay calm and collected when in the midst of The Battle?  Are you facing obstacles now that God is alive to You?  Does doubt try to creep into your spirit?  It is a battle and we have to recognize that.  The devils mission is to separate us, God's mission is to unite us.  In the midst of the battle stay calm and walk in faith that you along with God's angels are moving the enemy out of your life.  You are gaining ground in your own life because "They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; love for life did not deter them from death." ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12:11‬.  It is the blood of Jesus that washes the devil out of our lives.  Get behind me Satan for Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.

Dear Father, we are blessed to be living at this time.  We are blessed to witness the victory of Your Son in our own lives and those around us.  Help us call out to You when we are under attack, help us bring Jesus to the battle front.  It is His blood that died for us that saves us.  Open our eyes to the spiritual fight that we are in and give us the grace to remain calm.  You are the Victor and we are the prize.  Thank You Father for fighting for me, I will serve You where I am sent.  In the name of Jesus, amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Mark 10:45 dailythoughts.com 9-28-2018

"For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many." Mark‬ ‭10:45‬

A little food for thought this morning.  "There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens." Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:1.  God placed you here at this time for this situation no different than when He placed His Son in history.  Do you recognize what it is going on around you.   You are not Jesus but by the grace of God, He is in you.  Offer up what ever is the challenge, hit your knees and fight as He did.  We are living some interesting times which cause some interesting situations our only recourse is God.  There is power in the presence of Jesus and you can go there right now.  Let Him serve you as He knows best.

Dear Lord God, I praise You for allowing me to recognize You in my life.  I thank You for those You are calling.  Their faith is based upon You and it is rock solid.  Build up Your people Lord God, send Your Holy Spirit to empower us as Your faithful servants.  I ask for prayers for those on the road to Calvary.  I ask for prayers for those blinded by their passions.  Remove the blinders and let them see You as you did for Paul.  Thank You for this day and what it has to offer, may I share You in all that I do.  Amen.

Psalms 90:12-13 dailythoughts.com 9-27-2018

"Teach us to count our days aright, that we may gain wisdom of heart. Relent, O LORD! How long? Have pity on your servants!" ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭90:12-13‬

Are you growing in the wisdom of God?  We are given a definite number of days to work out our salvation, what do we do with them.  Will today be the same as yesterday or are you trying to become wiser in your actions.  It is easy in the quiet to reflect but in the thick of battle are you wiser than yesterday.  Is God part of that equation?  Live each moment as if it were your last, much easier said then done.   Heaven is the goal, until then we must strive to serve God in what ever capacity we can and trust in Him in all things.  He is the Victor and He is in me.

Dear Father God, I praise You this morning for this day, I offer it up to You.   Be greater in me and help me step back and see what is going on.  May it not be my will that responds but Your will.  I trust in You in this day and I rely upon You to guide my way, even in the darkness.  Amen.

Proverbs 30:7-8 dailythoughts.com 9-27-2018

"Two things I ask of you, do not deny them to me before I die: Put falsehood and lying far from me, give me neither poverty nor riches; provide me only with the food I need;" Proverbs‬ ‭30:7-8

What a powerful little prayer!  How many of us bounce out of bed each day not giving God a second thought, not even in the front of our minds.  Who made you?  God did!  Do we ask for help, do we ask God to remove the deception from our ways and in what we do?  Are we satisfied with what we receive each day or are we constantly looking for more or wishing things away?  If God is at your side and you are honoring Him with your life then He is giving you the food that you need.  Maybe that food is to remove the falsehood that is in you.  Maybe that food is to strengthen you.  Why did God make You?

God made you to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him for ever in heaven.   Be blessed today with what ever He has in store for you!

Dear Heavenly Father, You know I love You and I know You give me what I need.  I ask for help in all things in my life.  I pray You are greater in me than I am today.  Help me be the best me I can be today.  I accept what You give for You are my all.  All I want in life is You, I pray You will not let me settle for anything else!  You amaze me why more than I deserve in my interior self.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Luke 8:21 dailythoughts.com 9-25-2018

"He said to them in reply, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it." Luke‬ ‭8:21‬

I look back upon my life and realize for a big chunk of it, I was like a second cousin who would show up at family functions each week.  Enjoy the food and the company, be present but go off and do what I wanted to do.  In my own mind I was doing no wrong and I had God where I wanted Him, under my control.  I was like the kid that would listen to mom & Dad and then go do my thing.

"A king's heart is channeled water in the hand of the LORD; God directs it where he pleases." Proverbs‬ ‭21:1‬.  To be in the family is to sit at the feet of Jesus and be an active member.  Not only listen but act upon His word.  I now look back and see channeled water that is contouring the land.  Not always knowing the outcome but following the advice of Dad.  Take a leap of faith and trust in your brother Jesus.  He will never lead you astray, may get a little scary but growth comes out of stretching.

Dear Father God, I pray for the family members that are doing it their way, missing out on the true joy of living.  I pray for those caught in the snare as you work at freeing them.  I pray for those watching and praying for answers, may they be rewarded for their perseverance.  Thank You Lord for leading me, encouraging me and stretching me.  May I be a pleasing offering in Your site.  Amen.

Mary, Queen of Angels, pray for us.

Luke 8:18 Dailythoughts.com 9-24-2018

"Take care, then, how you hear. To anyone who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he seems to have will be taken away."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭8:18‬

"Take care, then how you hear."   Those around know you by your actions.  "Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves." James‬ ‭1:22‬.  "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:105‬.  As you read and hear the word of God, we are to apply it to our lives.  Those around us will see the light of Christ lighting our way because we know our hope is in Him.  Hearing is an action word for if we do not apply what we hear then we will forget what we learned.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the word that is implanted within me.  Help me live it all the time and not just when it is convenient.  In those moments that I appear, slow me down so that You May shine.  Forgive me for the times I conceal You, strengthen Your will within my spirit and bless this day with a fervent heart.  I ask this in Jesus's name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

1 Corinthians 15:36

"You fool! What you sow is not brought to life unless it dies." 1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:36‬

What dies if you are sowing the word of God within?  Do you allow the seed time to germinate?   The seed must sit in darkness and be fed by its environment.  In my own life, I imagine God's word growing and developing as I sit and allow it to penetrate my being.  Overtime it grows and chokes out the seed that the world strives to grow.  God is the Sun in our spiritual lives, it is He that rains downs blessings upon our lives that produces the perseverance that is needed to produce the fruit that He and we desire.  This only happens by giving of our time in quiet reflection, we die to self in order for Him to grow.  It wasn't easy for Jesus either!  "Who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross." Philippians‬ ‭2:6-8‬

Dear Lord God, I reflect upon the past couple of days and see the word of God planted, and germinating in others.  They are dying to the events of their lives and allowing You to take root in their spirit.  Blessed are they who are poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.  You are growing a mighty army in our midst may we give You our time so we are prepared for eternity.  Praise be the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Matthew 9:9 www.dailythoughts.com 9-21-2018

"As Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the customs post. He said to him, "Follow me." And he got up and followed him." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9:9‬

Close your eyes and picture Matthew sitting at his post to collect the taxes.  He has been well trained to deal with others.  He is good at his job because he gets others to give what they don't want.  He spends many hours toiling to collect the taxes.  He is well rewarded for his efforts both at work and where he lives.  Then Jesus comes walking past and asks him to "follow me".

How would that event look like today?  Would there be office cubicles, a sales counter, a desk, a steering wheel, an airplane seat, a computer screen, maybe tables in front of Matthew?  Look around you, what do you see at your job.   Jesus still asks the same thing, "follow me".  What is your answer?  Will you be like Saint Matthew and say yes or will you put your head back down, continue the grind and say no?  Matthew had the same decision to make but He realized that Jesus was real and God was greater.

Dear Father God, it has been a challenging week and You know what stirs my heart.  May we each see what we do each day is either a job or a calling given by You.  Bless us with right choices, comfort us in our challenges.  May we see You in our daily lives, may we put the same or more energy into our relationship with You than the post that we sit at.  Prayers for a friend that has yet to meet You, may You walk by and ask the same question You asked of Matthew.  May the love of Christ be in our hearts all the days of our lives.  Amen.

Mary, Queen of Lost Souls, pray for us.

Please share this with all the tax collectors that are over worked and under appreciated for their efforts.  Jesus is still passing by in all of our lives.  Are we following?

www.dailythoughts.com Luke 7:36-48 9-20-2018

"A Pharisee invited him to dine with him, and he entered the Pharisee's house and reclined at table. Now there was a sinful woman in the city who learned that he was at table in the house of the Pharisee. Bringing an alabaster flask of ointment, she stood behind him at his feet weeping and began to bathe his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them, and anointed them with the ointment. When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would know who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, that she is a sinner." Jesus said to him in reply, "Simon, I have something to say to you." "Tell me, teacher," he said. "Two people were in debt to a certain creditor; one owed five hundred days' wages and the other owed fifty. Since they were unable to repay the debt, he forgave it for both. Which of them will love him more?" Simon said in reply, "The one, I suppose, whose larger debt was forgiven." He said to him, "You have judged rightly." Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? When I entered your house, you did not give me water for my feet, but she has bathed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You did not give me a kiss, but she has not ceased kissing my feet since the time I entered. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she anointed my feet with ointment. So I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven; hence, she has shown great love. But the one to whom little is forgiven, loves little." He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."" Luke‬ ‭7:36-48‬

"The one to whom little is forgiven, loves little."  In the eyes of God, these individuals are the same, the sinful woman and the Pharisee.  In their own self realization they are different, one realizes their sinful ways and is over come with love with His forgiveness and His acceptance.  The other does not recognize his sinful ways and bathes in his own self righteousness.  This scene plays out in our own lives, which one are you?  Are you building your love for God or are you showing it?

Dear Lord God, I meet these characters in my walk, help me be as You in my response.  Help me see my own faults and be overcome with joy for Your love.  I pray for the Pharisee and I pray for the sinful women.  The day approaches when we all will realize how we love You.  Make Your life real to each of us in our daily walk, there is much to be learned sitting at Your feet and You love unconditionally.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com Deuteronomy 4:39 9-19-2018

"This is why you must now acknowledge, and fix in your heart, that the LORD is God in the heavens above and on earth below, and that there is no other." Deuteronomy‬ ‭4:39‬

Why do I try and tackle things on my own?  Do I think that with my own self I can resolve them.  God is at the ready but do I ask for help?  No I don't and therefore I suffer the consequences.  You look around and acknowledge a power greater than you but you do not acknowledge God in your own life.  In this verse God speaks to me, He says I am everywhere but your heart, invite me in, in all things even the mundane tasks and the overwhelming obstacles.  He knows the path forward.

Dear Father, I see the error of my ways and fail to call upon You.  Help me acknowledge You in all things, do not forget my human weakness and give me wisdom to lean on You.  May I recognize You in my own life and not in the beauty around me.  May I hear You speak through others and may I hunger for truth in Your word.  May You increase in me and I decrease, this I need and ask for today.  Bless the weary traveler we met, breath the Spirit of Truth within Him as he journeys home.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Luke 7:13-15 9-18-2018

"When the Lord saw her, he was moved with pity for her and said to her, "Do not weep." He stepped forward and touched the coffin; at this the bearers halted, and he said, "Young man, I tell you, arise!" The dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother." Luke‬ ‭7:13-15‬

A chance encounter between Jesus and this dead young man and his mother.  I can't help but think about this same procession but now it is Jesus on His funeral procession.  His mother Mary, grieve stricken as they lay Him to rest.  God has compassion for His people, He tells us not to weep, He wants to reunite loved ones.  There is nothing like a mother's love, her compassion for her flesh and blood that she carried and gave birth too.  If He is greater in me than he that is in the world.  Does not Mary weep for us when we are dead to Him.  Does she not leap for joy when we arise to the new life of Christ.  Mary does play a role in our salvation for we are all sons and daughters.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for those who are living life without You.  I pray for those entrapped by the devil and blind to what is happening.  May a chance encounter with You change all that and may You give them to Your Blessed Mother to care for.  I thank You Lord for a mother's love as see weeps for those on their death walk.  You will not let her be disappointed.  Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com 1 Corinthians 11:26 9-17-2018

"For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes." ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:26‬

As long as we live in the world we will always have troubles.  The challenge we face each day is to die to self and separate ourselves from the troubles of the world.   In recognizing the Body and Blood of Jesus we are proclaiming the good news that even though Jesus died, He lives in each of us until we are reunited with Him in Heaven.   Do not sweat the small stuff, it is all small stuff.  "They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth." ‭‭John‬ ‭17:16-17‬.  To deny the Body and Blood of Jesus is to deny Christ Himself.  "Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you."
‭‭John‬ ‭6:53‬.  Your word is truth.

Dear Lord God, I praise You this morning to have the gift of faith, to be at peace in a world surrounded by troubles.  Even in the darkness, I know You are by my side.  Death is only the beginning of eternity and I revel at the thought of having that opportunity if You find me worthy.  Prayers for those that are suffering in the world, may they see these pains as purification as they are drawn to You.  I ask this is the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com Mark 8:29,31-32 9-16-2018

"And he asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter said to him in reply, "You are the Messiah."

He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer greatly and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and rise after three days. He spoke this openly. Then Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him." Mark‬ ‭8:29, 31-32‬

Do our words get to define who Jesus is to us?  Do we get to make him into our image?  No & No.  "Indeed someone may say, "You have faith and I have works." Demonstrate your faith to me without works, and I will demonstrate my faith to you from my works."
‭‭James‬ ‭2:18‬. "No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you." ‭‭John‬ ‭15:13-14‬.  Jesus tells us what it takes to follow Him and learn who He is.  Faith without action is dead so are our words if we do not back them up with belief.  Listen to the Son of Man as He speaks with Peter.   "I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus."
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:6‬.   "Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves."
‭‭James‬ ‭1:22‬.

Dear Father God, I am an instrument in the Potters hand, not always understanding but doing as best as I can with what You ask of Me.   I trust in Your Divine will to lead me as You did Peter.  Just like Peter, I am an imperfect human, being transformed into Your image.  May I not define You with words or deeds but may I give of myself as only You can give.  Praise be the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com 1 Corinthians 10:16-17 9-15-2018

"The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? Because the loaf of bread is one, we, though many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf." 1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:16-17‬

The words of Saint Paul as he speaks about the mass at the dawn of the new covenant.  He believes the cup of blessing to be transformed into the blood of Christ and the same of the bread into the body of Christ.  Almost 2000 years ago these are his words.  Know thy enemy, how has the devil transformed this understanding that Saint Paul clearly speaks.  It did not have symbolic meaning to him.  I watch a world fall victim to the schemes of the devil yet truth is still truth and always will be.  As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

Dear Lord God, You are the body of Christ, You are present in the breaking of the bread and the blessing of the wine.  It is Your flesh and blood that feeds me for the spiritual battle that we are in the midst of.  Open our eyes and minds to the spiritual warfare going on around us.  Bless those in the fight and give hope to those who are truly shepherding Your flock.  Victory is Yours God, this truth will never be removed for it is written in history.  May more ardent disciples join the fight.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com John 3:14 9-14-2018

"And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up," John‬ ‭3:14‬

Can you imagine being Nicodemus sitting at the feet of Jesus hearing these words.  He recalls the Old Testament story trying to comprehend what Jesus is saying.   Later he looks upon the cross remembering that conversation realizing that Jesus is the Messiah, the chosen one of Israel sent to save God's people.  Everything changes in a blink of an eye.  Nicodemus walked with God and didn't realize it until He became real to Him.   Then Nicodemus picks up his cross and follows Jesus.  Life took on new meaning for him, he was no longer fearful because his friend Jesus, God, was still speaking to him.  Which Nicodemus are you, the one who lacks understanding or the one who's life has been transformed by God.

Dear Triune God, praise Your Holy Cross for You have redeemed this sinner and continue to allow me to sit at Your feet.  Praise You Father, Son and Holy Ghost for another beautiful day to go into the world not really knowing the outcome but trusting in You.  Thank You for the saints and the insight into their journey with You.  Prayers for the men on retreat this weekend, may they be blown away by You and May they be cleansed by Your Holy Spirit.  We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you, because by your Cross you have redeemed the world.  Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Praise be Jesus!

www.dailythoughts.com Luke 6:37 9-13-2018

""Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:37‬

I close my eyes this morning and I see what Jesus was seeing.  He didn't judge, yet He was judged.  He didn't condemn yet He was condemned.  He forgave yet He wasn't forgiven.  "But rather, love your enemies and do good to them, and lend expecting nothing back; then your reward will be great and you will be children of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:35‬.  Jesus was God Living as man, and He lived these verses.  Love your enemies, love your neighbor, love each other, love yourself.  Don't condemn them, forgive them and don't bring it up.  Don't judge each other, you are not any better.   See what Jesus sees and respond as He does with love.  "For the whole law is fulfilled in one statement, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."" Galatians‬ ‭5:14‬.  Are you loving your neighbor as Jesus does?  Or are you the one scourging Jesus on His way to the crucifixion?   Close your eyes and see what Jesus sees.

Dear Lord God, I am trying to love my neighbor, give me Your compassion, give me Your love.  Put into me what I am lacking.  Bless this day Lord with You in my mind and heart.  Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com Luke 6:24-26 9-12-2018

"But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation. But woe to you who are filled now, for you will be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will grieve and weep. Woe to you when all speak well of you, for their ancestors treated the false prophets in this way." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:24-26‬

What ensnares you?  The world can not give you satisfaction that lasts for ever.  What ever it gives you is or will be a woe unless God is in the center of your life.  As St Paul tells us:  "For the world in its present form is passing away." ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭7:31‬b‭.  Your world is passing away in front of you, what used to bring you satisfaction no longer does, unless it is God given and He remains in the center.  Slow down and think, what is being thrown in front of you to separate you from the love of God.  It happens every day, Jesus is telling us to focus on God.  If you don't then be prepared to place woe in front of it.  No peace, no joy, Know Peace, Know Joy.

Dear Lord God, I see the trappings of the world seeking to ensnare souls for the devil.  It may be riches, it maybe lust for things or others, it maybe pride or our own ego.   Without You we are doomed for eternity, help us see with You firmly in our lives in daily communion we are at peace, for You will keep us on the narrow path.  I pray for those that are being ensnared by the trappings of the world, open their eyes to what the devil is doing in their lives right now.  Holy Spirit convict them of what is entrapping them and cause them to act upon Your word.   Protect our families each and every day. I ask this in Your mighty name, Yahweh, Amen.  Praise be the name of Jesus, my savior!!

Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
St Michael, watch over us and our loved ones.

www.dailythoughts.com Luke 6:12 9-11-2018

"In those days he departed to the mountain to pray, and he spent the night in prayer to God." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:12‬

How is your prayer life?  Great question to ask yourself this morning.  I think about my own prayer life and God knows it can be better.  The night Jesus spent in prayer was too determine who the 12 apostles would be.  Who was going to carry on the mission.   An important decision for Jesus to make.  Do we present life changing decisions to God, discuss it with Him and then just sit still and listen?   Telling God the answer isn't listening to Him, it is deciding for yourself.  Give God time to respond.  Another point to ponder this morning is once Jesus & God chose the 12, it wasn't instant results & happiness.  The decision was only the beginning so remember Jesus had many trials to face with those they chose but God was there to help. Listen to God, find a quiet spot and walk together.

Dear Yahweh, I make lots of decisions each day, help me slow down to involve You in those decisions.  Help me sit still and listen, when trials come help me see You there leading the way and not I getting frustrated with the results.  Show me where I make wrong decisions and help me correct them.  Prayers for those who make hasty decisions may they get God involved and insure He is in agreement.  Bless this day Lord and Thank You.

Mary, Queen Mother, pray for us.

This is for you from God

www.dailythoughts.com 1 Corinthians 5:4-5 9-10-2018

"in the name of [our] Lord Jesus: when you have gathered together and I am with you in spirit with the power of the Lord Jesus, you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord." ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭5:4-5‬

Are we to be accepting of sin?  Here Saint Paul tells us to give the man over to his sin, so that it may destroy him in the flesh.  He also tells us to remove the person from the church so we don't accept the sin.  Hate the sin, love the sinner.   Sin will take its course and our spirit over time will convict us to return to God and ask for forgiveness.   Unless we change our sinful ways life will be a series of ups and downs.  Those of us with age have felt the destruction of flesh and recognize the attack on our spirit.  Today the battle armor is stronger, the spirit is stronger to fight for our Lord.  Life is a great teacher, sometimes we have to learn the hard way.  We learn from our battle scars and we learn to live in Your spirit and not our flesh.

Dear Lord Jesus, You give us free will to choose our path in life.  Have mercy upon me a sinner for those times I do not choose You.  Your Holy Spirit convicts us to return to You when we have had enough.  I thank You for never abandoning us even in the bleakest of times.  Thank You Jesus for preparing the young people in our community to be mighty warriors.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com Isaiah 35:4b-5

"Here is your God, he comes with vindication; With divine recompense he comes to save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall see, and the ears of the deaf be opened;" ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭35:4-5‬

I ponder my own journey when I was blind and deaf in my belief of God.  It has been a glorious unfolding each and every day since that day.   What about those we encounter in our daily lives.  Their belief is also lacking only when God reveals himself do they see and hear.  Your own journey is no different.   In our culture truth is being twisted, God is being denied but faith still exists, wait for their belief to be engaged "Then the lame shall leap like a stag, and the mute tongue sing for joy. For waters will burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the Arabah. The burning sands will become pools, and the thirsty ground, springs of water; The abode where jackals crouch will be a marsh for the reed and papyrus." Isaiah‬ ‭35:6-7‬.  That day is coming until then we must continue speaking God's truth in the wilderness.

Dear Abba Father, I praise You this morning for allowing a blind man to see and a deaf man to hear.  The generation coming up now is in need of You but the noise of the culture drowns You out.  Bless them Father with Your truth, help them see the lies of the world, it is all fluff.  I pray for those that are lost in the midst of the crowds, overcome their challenges and give them hope of You.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com Micah 5:1 9-8-2018

"But you, Bethlehem-Ephrathah least among the clans of Judah, From you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel; Whose origin is from of old, from ancient times." Micah‬ ‭5:1‬

Happy Birthday Blessed Mother of Jesus.

I love how God tells us what He is doing or will be doing through His word.  How does He do that?  Yes He is God and can do anything, He also transcends time.  Today as a Catholic, I remember the birth of the woman who said yes to God, the Supernatural yes, that allows you to be Christian.  Without her, Christ can not enter in!   God uses the least significant to make the biggest difference and He foretells what is to come.  She allowed the Holy Family to be a Holy Family, take a little time and reflect upon that today.  Our lineage makes a difference to us, if anyone of your grandparents would have made a different decision, you may not be here.  The same can be said about our Blessed Mother, her yes is the most important one to the world!

Lord Emmanuel, I know You treasure those who say Yes to You.  I thank You for choosing Mary as the vessel to carry Your Son so we can be the vessel to carry You.  Greater are You who is in me than he that is not in me.  Give us eyes that see Lord, I pray for the family.  I see the pain that is afflicted upon them, plans that take years to be unveiled.  May we always trust in You and turn to You and our heritage that our Joy may be the same.  I offer this up in the Joy of Mary's heart, Jesus Christ and we her son's and daughters.  Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Good Success, pray for us.

Our Lady of Good Success story.

Now, Let us pray...
(Audio/Video Version)

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus, I have specific requests that may only partially fill the infinite needs and desires that are in my heart. I ask that You answer me not only for those requests but also for a greater reliance on You to satisfy the needs and desires that You have given me.

Please grant the prayers of all those who prayed this novena with me. Bless them with Your love and make them holy!

May I seek You with a sincere heart knowing that it will profit me nothing if I gain the whole world yet lose my soul.

So, help me to see Your good and gracious purpose in all my trials. Help me to see Your blessings in every day and help me to love You more.

Thank You for everything, Lord Jesus!

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Psalms 37:3 9-7-2018

"Trust in the LORD and do good that you may dwell in the land and live secure." Psalms‬ ‭37:3‬

Trusting in God is such a blessing but it also requires our obedience.  God does not sway back and forth, He is constant.  I believe when we struggle with trusting God, there are things that we have yet to accept, or purge from ourselves or change or stop doing.  Before Jesus entered in, I was doing it my way because I was in control of my destiny.  Today, I walk in faith, I trust God and accept what comes my way, the good and the bad, my destiny is His!  Trusting in God brings peace into everything, there is security.  No Peace, no God.  Know God, know peace.  Your heart knows the answer and He is calling.

Dear Abba Father, I am overwhelmed by Your presence, You surround me with Your love and accept me where I am at.  This vessel is Yours and my spirit is glad You gave it to me.  May I be obedient to Your word so we may live in peace.  Prayers for a friend in need, You are the Great Healer, heal the wounds Lord Jesus and make Him whole.  Praise be the name of Jesus and may I do Your will today.   Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Good Success, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com Matthew 4:19 8-6-2018

""Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men."" Matthew‬ ‭4:19‬

What is holding you back from stepping out?  Knowledge, ability, fear, time, anxiety, laziness, unworthiness, past sin, present sin, pride, the list can go on but as you look at this verse Jesus didn't add an unless at the end of it.  Jesus choose twelve ordinary people to follow Him and He made them fishers of men.  I watched four young people last night be fishermen, they probably did not completely realize they were fishing for Christ yet they were.  I watched another young lady offer up the final prayer for the night, not knowing what to say, opened her mouth and nailed it.  She was willing and was fishing.  These young people were anxious, nervous, but their unless, can't because, didn't stop them.  The most important thing we can give God is our willingness, He just wants you to be willing and then overtime, just like the Apostles, He will make you a fisherman.  Be willing, your fellow man needs you, those watching you needs you, God needs you!

Dear Abba Father, You are amazing, what You can do with someone who is willing.  I praise You this morning for the teaching last night.  Bless those reading this Father with a willing spirit, give them Hope, Joy, Mercy and Love in their hearts.  Prayers for our church and all the fishermen, in the midst of the storm, may You shine brightest.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Good Success, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com Luke 4:42a 9-5-2018

"At daybreak, Jesus left and went to a deserted place." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭4:42‬a

I wondered this morning what Jesus thought about when he went to His deserted place.  I am sure each day was something different that was on His mind.  Part of my thoughts today went to a simpler time in my life when I never prepared myself for the day.  Sitting in the quietness of the morning, just you, your thoughts and God, gets you ready for the day.  Jesus's life was busy when He started His ministry but He always made time to get away and prepare Himself with His Father.   A little food for thought this morning, do you have a time each day that you look for the quietness, a time to sit in silence and listen.   It will make a difference!

Dear Lord God, when I was younger why could I not see the need for you in my life but on Sundays?  I am blessed to be able to sit with You each day and just be.  You know what the day has to offer, just like Jesus, it fast approaches.  Help me keep this peace throughout the day, be always on my mind and on my lips.  Thank You for the Sonlight, it brings life to these bones.  To God be the glory!  Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Good Success, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com 1 Corinthians 2:15 9-4-2018

"The spiritual person, however, can judge everything but is not subject to judgment by anyone." ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:15‬

For the spiritual person will pass judgement upon himself and correct his ways.  How did Jesus handle the conflict of His times?  I must be reminded this morning not to think as man does but think as God does.  "Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans‬ ‭12:2‬.  "Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus," ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:5‬.  Jesus always remained calm in the midst of the storm and we too must do the same.

Dear Abba Father, You once again remind me of how I am to respond to all situations in my life, in a calm and thoughtful manner.  I treasure this day as we prepare for it, thank You for Your mind.  Come fill this vessel with Your wisdom as the day will bring opportunities to minister to Your body.   Bless others with peace today Lord and allow our thoughts to think of You and how You responded in loving, helpful ways that brought the lost home.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Victory, pray for us.

www.dailythoughts.com Psalms 119:97-98 9-3-2018

"How I love your law, Lord! I study it all day long. Your commandment makes me wiser than my foes, as it is forever with me." Psalms‬ ‭119:97-98‬

I sit back this morning watching the world go by with out the appearance of a trouble yet I see the troubles all around.  We want to live the way we want to live without being told we are right or wrong.  God has given us commandments to live by can they be ignored or denied?  They can but there are consequences to this which I believe is being played out in front of us.  God will not be mocked, can I sin and not suffer?  Can an institution sin and not suffer?.  "so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God. The True Wisdom."
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:5‬.  Place your faith in God, trust in His wisdom and live in joy, He is making His presence known.

Abba Father, Thank You for the joy that just entered my room, may they grow up in a world that honors you in actions and believes in the power of God.  Father You are all knowing and I look forward to the day that none of us are blind to Your existence.  I pray for the family and for our priests that are always under attack, encamp around them.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

www.dailythoughts.com Mark 7:6 9-2-2018

"He responded, "Well did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites, as it is written: 'This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me;" ‭‭Mark‬ ‭7:6‬

Can we honor God and live by His commandments if Jesus is not in our hearts?  We can go through the motions but it is empty worship, there is no faking God.  I look around and see God's creation walking in their own ways following the devil.  Is Jesus in your heart, do you hurt when He hurts?  Are you exuberant when He is?  I do not know what is coming but if you are not prepared you will walk away if Jesus is not in your heart.  Ask for Him, pray to Him, worship Him in actions and not empty words.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am sorry for what You are having to endure.  You see all from Your lofty perch and it isn't pretty.  I am grateful that You give me Jesus, You are preparing this vessel for the future.  I trust in You and I am a willing participant in Your salvation plan.  May I always be at the ready for Your call.  Prayers today for Tyrone, May they be triumphant in their challenge.   Prayers also for the people of Ireland may they find Jesus and be reunited with Mother Church.  I ask this in the name above every other name, Jesus.  Amen.

Day 3 - The Novena for Marriage & Family

Oops, day three of our Novena.  Family is where it is at, God's family is united with one common goal.  Uniting His children with the Trinity.

In our marriages and relationships do not forget the Lord's Prayer.   Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespassed against us.

Anger is an emotion that creeps into our spirit.  When we feel it rise up.  Rebuke it in the name of Jesus and ask God for the grace to forgive each other.

One other point, Peter denied Christ three times and yet Christ did not turn away.  Jesus is the answer to your prayers and your marriage.  Invite Him in each day together and watch the power of God grow in both of you.   Peter was strengthened by turning towards Christ, division is of the devil.  Judas turned the other way and look what happened.

Be blessed today as you pray for marriages and the family, good and faithful servant.
