"For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes." 1 Corinthians 11:26
As long as we live in the world we will always have troubles. The challenge we face each day is to die to self and separate ourselves from the troubles of the world. In recognizing the Body and Blood of Jesus we are proclaiming the good news that even though Jesus died, He lives in each of us until we are reunited with Him in Heaven. Do not sweat the small stuff, it is all small stuff. "They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth." John 17:16-17. To deny the Body and Blood of Jesus is to deny Christ Himself. "Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you."
John 6:53. Your word is truth.
Dear Lord God, I praise You this morning to have the gift of faith, to be at peace in a world surrounded by troubles. Even in the darkness, I know You are by my side. Death is only the beginning of eternity and I revel at the thought of having that opportunity if You find me worthy. Prayers for those that are suffering in the world, may they see these pains as purification as they are drawn to You. I ask this is the Name of Jesus, Amen.
Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
