"And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up," John‬ ‭3:14‬

Can you imagine being Nicodemus sitting at the feet of Jesus hearing these words.  He recalls the Old Testament story trying to comprehend what Jesus is saying.   Later he looks upon the cross remembering that conversation realizing that Jesus is the Messiah, the chosen one of Israel sent to save God's people.  Everything changes in a blink of an eye.  Nicodemus walked with God and didn't realize it until He became real to Him.   Then Nicodemus picks up his cross and follows Jesus.  Life took on new meaning for him, he was no longer fearful because his friend Jesus, God, was still speaking to him.  Which Nicodemus are you, the one who lacks understanding or the one who's life has been transformed by God.

Dear Triune God, praise Your Holy Cross for You have redeemed this sinner and continue to allow me to sit at Your feet.  Praise You Father, Son and Holy Ghost for another beautiful day to go into the world not really knowing the outcome but trusting in You.  Thank You for the saints and the insight into their journey with You.  Prayers for the men on retreat this weekend, may they be blown away by You and May they be cleansed by Your Holy Spirit.  We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you, because by your Cross you have redeemed the world.  Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Praise be Jesus!

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
