Acts 1:24-25 5-14-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Then they prayed, "You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen to take the place in this apostolic ministry from which Judas turned away to go to his own place." Acts‬ ‭1:24-25‬

"I believe in one holy catholic apostolic church", Apostolic succession was given life by Peters insight in seeing the need to insure who ever was going to lead had proven themselves worthy of the office they would hold.  He also accepted the role that Christ gave him by leading the church in its infancy.    There is a simplicity in sitting still in the morning and letting God speak to you, Peter developed the ability to hear the voice of God after Jesus was gone.  All the lessons that Christ had taught him were now coming to him so he could establish Christ church here on earth.  Listen to the Holy Spirit, set aside your own prejudices and allow Christ to lead you, just like He did with Peter.

What is God saying to me: open your eyes, I gaze upon you with love.

Dear Lord, I pray for the Church, I pray for all those that are lost in the ways of the world, may they discern Your voice and do the will of Your Father.  Help us recognize the lessons You have been teaching us in our lives even when we believed we were walking alone.  I praise You today and give You thanks for the quiet moments, I thank You for the community that is available to each of us to learn from and be recharged by Your presence.  Bless this day Lord and may I be attentive to Your needs.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.
