"Then he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" And they said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you and your household will be saved." Acts 16:30-31
What made the jailer ask Paul and Silas this question? Was it their joy they were expressing even after being persecuted. Was it their peace even though they were locked up? What about their response to the jailer, not only would the jailer be saved but so would His household. We impact many lives by our decisions, when we choose not to believe, are we standing in the way of our household? How we respond to the events of our lives and the decisions we make have eternal consequences to those we have been given charge of and come in contact with. There is freedom when we free the chains that hold us in bondage.
What is God saying to me: Live In Peace my child, I am with you.
Dear Father, You seem distant this morning or is it I that is distant. There is so much to comprehend yet I do not know what is next. Help me trust in You with all my heart, all my soul and all my mind. Help me not over think my thoughts and live in peace as You tell me. Help me with the things that frustrate me and help me be more like Paul and Silas, enjoying all the circumstances of our life. Prayers for those who have yet to believe, may they jump in and experience the joy of living with You. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
