Acts 8:32-33 5-9-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"This was the scripture passage he was reading: "Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter, and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he opened not his mouth. In [his] humiliation justice was denied him. Who will tell of his posterity? For his life is taken from the earth."" Acts‬ ‭8:32-33‬

Philip didn't have a Bible to study, he lived the scriptures.  In this relationship with the Living Word, he was able to help another person find Jesus.  He didn't just go to the temple to worship and then wait for next week.  He didn't just put his tithe in and come back next week.  He answered the call and his offering is all that he did, he brought that to the altar.  "Who will tell of His posterity for His life is taken from the earth." We all have a mission and purpose, when you stand at the pearly gates it won't be because you were the best ____________. (You fill in the blank). Be like Philip, walk with Jesus and give Him away, this is your mission.

What is God saying to me: It is I that works through you, relax and be yourself, you are my perfect creation.  Just be.

Dear Lord God, I take You into this day, it is You that gives me purpose.  My I fulfill my mission today and may Your word produce the fruit that is ready to be harvested.  Watch over Your family, draw us to You and may we walk by faith and not by sight.  You bless those who answer the call and honor You.  I ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Christ, pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
