Acts 15:2-3a 5-22-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Because there arose no little dissension and debate by Paul and Barnabas with them, it was decided that Paul, Barnabas, and some of the others should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and presbyters about this question. They were sent on their journey by the church" ‭‭Acts‬ ‭15:2-3‬a

History, isn't it fascinating when you go back and study it.  To see how and why things were done, what the outcome was.  The Bible clearly states that the early church submitted itself to a higher authority.  They each didn't take it upon themselves to decide the outcome.  They sought the wisdom of the first bishops and the one left in charge.  Today this is called the magisterium.  What about you do you submit yourself to an authority or do you just go it alone.  There is a wisdom and power when we relinquish the power and allow others that have a wealth of knowledge and insight to offer direction.  "Be subordinate to one another out of reverence for Christ." Ephesians‬ ‭5:21‬. It is what Christ established when He ascended into Heaven and brought down His Holy Spirit.

What is God saying to me: You are not defined by likes or dislikes.  You have submitted to My authority and I approve.

Dear Father, I see a popular vote defining who we are when in fact truth is truth, it can not be denied whether  is accepted or not.  Thank You God for a great day yesterday, it was great visiting with others that are living their faith and recognizing Your call.  Prayers for a friend, may he find peace for his restless heart.  Help him see the joy in trusting You.  Bless this day Father, We are battle ready and eager to go.  Thank You and I love You beyond measure.  Amen.

Mary, Queen of my soul, pray for us.
