Acts 14:19-20 5-21-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"However, some Jews from Antioch and Iconium arrived and won over the crowds. They stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead. But when the disciples gathered around him, he got up and entered the city. On the following day he left with Barnabas for Derbe." Acts‬ ‭14:19-20‬

I love Paul's tenacity, after being strengthened by the disciples, Paul goes back into the city, there was more that needed to be done.  We all need that encouragement when we are down, a place we can go to that lifts our spirits.  More the reason to go to church.  The devil would have us believe you can go it alone but there is strength in numbers.  "They strengthened the spirits of the disciples and exhorted them to persevere in the faith, saying, "It is necessary for us to undergo many hardships to enter the kingdom of God." Acts‬ ‭14:22‬ ‭ The journey is never alone and when we get to Heaven it won't be just four.  There will be a multitude, so if you have been struggling to go to church, Saint Paul justifies the importance of going.  You always leave better then when you come in.  Praise be to God!

What is God saying to me:  Listen to my voice, discern who is speaking but only heed Me.

Dear Father, a little battle weary this morning for some reason but strengthened by Your Word, the day awaits.  May I encourage someone today who is in need of help.  May I listen intently to what is being said and engage the Holy Spirit in my response.  Prayers for someone who has gotten involved with the wrong crowd and will pay for his mistakes, may He hear God loud and clear and change his ways.  Thank You for another day, lead the way.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Divine Graces, pray for us.
