"Ah! Those who enact unjust statutes, who write oppressive decrees, What will you do on the day of punishment, when the storm comes from afar? To whom will you flee for help? Where will you leave your wealth, Lest it sink beneath the captive or fall beneath the slain? For all this, his wrath is not turned back, his hand is still outstretched!" Isaiah 10:1,3-4
Isaiah 10:1-4. The Warning. Most of the time the storm is seen coming from afar unless one isn't paying attention and then it catches you off guard. Isaiah is warning those in charge of impending doom if they do not change their ways. God doesn't respond to injustice without first warning and giving the opportunity to choose right over wrong. His outstretched hand is there to help us up and choose right. Pretty easy to see the injustices of those who write decrees. The say one thing but do the opposite, watch out for the storm.
What is God saying to me: In a covenant relationship you can not be caught off guard, I allow you to see what is coming.
Dear Lord God, there is much to be thankful for this morning, I am thankful for our time together and the opportunity to see. You always prepare those who are ready, Your hand is outstretched in hopes of a welcoming response to accept this grace. Watch over our family this week, engage their senses and breath hope into their lives. Thank You Father for joyous celebrations for ones who have child like faith, may they not forget these moments. Bless this week and all our activities, I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
