"And all the people know it— Ephraim and those who dwell in Samaria— those who say in arrogance and pride of heart, "Bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with cut stone; Sycamores have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars."
The people do not turn back to the one who struck them, nor do they seek the LORD of hosts." Isaiah 9:8-9, 12
Isaiah 9:8-20 Truth. It is a beautiful Sunday morning and I have spent it in mental gymnastics, contemplating God's word. We don't hear much about the wrath of God, we hear much about His love and mercy. But those who chose to ignore Him and His truths are in opposition to God. There is much to be learned in quiet reflection, listening to God. Have you tried telling God how it will go, He only laughs and sees the faults in your ways. A relationship with God leads to peace, it opens up His love to you, otherwise "For all this, his wrath is not turned back, his hand is still outstretched!" Isaiah 9:20b. Are you in opposition or communion with The Truth?
What is God saying to me: You sit, I speak even in the nothingness I Am there.
Dear Father, there is much to be learned when we sit in the stillness. Learning to quiet the mind and listen, to let go of ego and reflect upon You and Your word brings about peace. I know You are Loving God and are slow to anger but will get angry. Lord, have mercy upon our ignorance and teach us Your ways. Get our attention so we may spend eternity in Your presence. Thank You for answered prayers, thank You for listening and speaking. Special prayers this morning for a friend finding his way back to You, rebuilding is only achieved when You are consulted. Amen.
