"Then I said, "Woe is me, I am doomed! For I am a man of unclean lips, living among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!" Then one of the seraphim flew to me, holding an ember which he had taken with tongs from the altar. He touched my mouth with it. "See," he said, "now that this has touched your lips, your wickedness is removed, your sin purged." Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?" "Here I am," I said; "send me!""
Isaiah 6:5-8
Isaiah 6: - God prepares. Do you recognize your own sinfulness? Isaiah did in the presence of the Lord of Hosts, we all will recognize our own sinfulness. Isaiah voices his plight and he is made holy. Acknowledging our sins before God is the beginning of holiness. God prepares us for our journeys, He is there with us in the journeys, even in the failings. When we chose to ignore His voice, the journey leads to desolation and then maybe we are ready to listen. Isaiah was prepared to say "Here I am", God makes the way, we have to trust in His voice and be prepared to be made holy, it happens in the trials of Fire. Listen and respond.
What is God saying to me: Trust in My will,
Dear Lord God, You are Holy indeed. I thank You for being able to receive You at mass, in the Eucharist. I thank You Lord for all the preparations that You provide, help us see how we ignore the truth and cause our own desolation because we turn our back to You and Your way. Help us be Your holy people, who honor and worship You in the sacrifice of Your Son. It is You that feeds the soul that purifies Your creation to be in Your presence forever. Bless this Sunday Lord and May we be open to Your voice, Amen.
