Daily Thoughts - Make Christ Known.
1235 The sign of the cross, on the threshold of the celebration, marks with the imprint of Christ the one who is going to belong to him and signifies the grace of the redemption Christ won for us by his cross.
Grace. The sign of the cross is one of my favorite prayers, it can be said with words or with just the sign. It brings us into the presence of God and signifies that we belong to Him. We are claimed by Christ during our Baptism as being His, our sign of the cross is the acknowledgement of us belonging to Him, all of Him, His life, death and resurrection. Claim your future with:In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
In todays Gospel reading Jesus proclaims truth. His prodigy, David, took on the body of Christ and was the son of man. His life belonged to God, the road he walked was a rocky one when he was the ruler of his life, but when he give it to God and let God rule his heart, he was owned by Him.
The Pharisees were rebuking Jesus for not honoring man's laws. What they could not see was the heart of God. Who do you take your direction from? Is it man's law or the word of God within actions of love. In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. We belong to Him, will we acknowledge our love for Him thru the sign of the cross?
Dear Father, I see the Son of Man at work within my own heart. I see a world that denies Your truth and stands in opposition to truth. Yet You continue to respond in love and speak truth into the darkness in hopes of generating the spark needy to convert hearts. Thank You Father for speaking into my heart, bless this day, keep us safe and please send us much needed rain. Love Your son.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
