Daily Thoughts - Make God Known.

Daily Thoughts - Make God Known.

1237 Since Baptism signifies liberation from sin and from its instigator the devil, one or more exorcisms are pronounced over the candidate. The celebrant then anoints him with the oil of catechumens, or lays his hands on him, and he explicitly renounces Satan. Thus prepared, he is able to confess the faith of the Church, to which he will be "entrusted" by Baptism.39

The deposit of faith.  There is more than meets the eye during the Sacrament of Baptism.   The gift of Baptism lasts a lifetime, we take on the body of Christ and with time we become His disciples.  Which is more powerful, the power of God or the power of the evil one.  Recognize who's you are, even if you were an infant and have no recollection that does not make the Sacrament any less powerful.   You were entrusted with the gifts of the Church.

"it is Christ in you, the hope for glory. It is he whom we proclaim, admonishing everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. For this I labor and struggle, in accord with the exercise of his power working within me."  Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭27b‬-‭29‬  Paul doesn't lean on his own strength, he recognizes that it is Christ within that is at work.  It is He that is perfecting us and bringing about the fullness of our faith.  Do not lean upon your own understanding and trust that who was given to you at Baptism is at work within.

Dear Father, we go and seek a solution that seems to feel good but it is You that brings about the peace and joy that our soul seeks.  You are our strength and our rock.  Thank You Father for the gift of this week, for the time together to witness to truth.  May we recognize the power that resides within, given to us at Baptism.  Prayers for rain Lord, for a dry and weary land.  Love Your son.

Mary, Queen of Peace, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Pray for us.
St Patrick, Pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
