Daily Thoughts - Make God Known

Daily Thoughts - Make God Known

"The mystagogy of the celebration

1234 The meaning and grace of the sacrament of Baptism are clearly seen in the rites of its celebration. By following the gestures and words of this celebration with attentive participation, the faithful are initiated into the riches this sacrament signifies and actually brings about in each newly baptized person."

Purpose.  With the words spoken during the celebration of Baptism, there is purpose in what God gives us within the Church.  There is a richness and beauty that we hear and receive, and most likely don't even recognize at the time.  Listen next time at a baptism and hear what God is giving to His new creation.

Within todays Gospel reading as we celebrate the feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, the words convey a message that is hidden to the untrained eye yet God speaks thru these family members of Jesus.  God writes straight on crooked lines.  Jesus's ancestry is not a perfect one, there is murder and intrigue within history but through all of that God gives us the King of Peace through the Mother of the Son of Man.  Our own lives are not perfect and within the trials of life, God writes straight on crooked lines.   Receive the King of Glory and walk with Him with the gifts given at baptism.  No matter the history, He will receive you.

Dear Father, another blessed morning in Your presence with Your grace given thru Your word.  I see You writing a story that is written upon the heart.  Nothing is ever perfect but it will bring about Your glory if we will receive You and Holy Mother Church.  Prayers for the lost and lonely allowing their past to condemn them, it never stopped You Lord from bringing Peace into the world.  Love Your son.

Mary, Queen of Peace, Pray for us.

St Joesph, Pray for us.

St Patrick, Pray for us.
