Daily Thoughts 8-13-2017 Matthew 14:23

"After doing so, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When it was evening he was there alone." Matthew‬ ‭14:23‬

Jesus needed His quiet time, He needed solitude.  The craziness of His days with crowds following Him and seeking Him out makes His relationship with The Father more important.  He knows where to turn too for quiet comfort and strength.  There is something to be said about being by yourself praying to God.  Listening to Him in the stillness of the morning.  Find the time to be alone with God, go there regularly and listen.  Be at peace sitting at the Fathers feet.

Dear Heavenly Father, You bless us when we make time for You.  Your Son Jesus teaches us to go to You for direction in our lives, He teaches us how to charge the batteries.  Thank You for our time together, thank You for the quietness of the day.  Thank You for Your loving embrace as You prepare me for the day ahead.  Send Your Holy Spirit and call us to come to You.  May we never stop seeking Your love so we may go forth and be Your hands, your eyes, Your ears, Your voice to those You bring across our path.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mystical Rose, pray for us.
