Daily Thoughts 8-8-2017 Matthew 14:28-30

""Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" Matthew‬ ‭14:28-30‬

Are we not like Peter on our spiritual journey.   We get out of the boat and walk on water, then start feeling the wind pushing against us.  Jesus called out to you and it is He who has you.  Take a deep breath and keep walking.   He is with you and we know how the story ends.  The wind may blow and buffet you about but Jesus has won.   Turn to Jesus and see His glory, feel His glory and live His glory. This world is only temporary but eternity is forever and you will live for eternity with Him.  Make that your vision and then just keep walking but do it with the glory of God in your heart.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the joy in my spirit.  Thank You for calling us out of the boat and showing us how to walk on water.   May I ignore the wind and rough seas and focus on You and Your glory.  You are God, You can do all things.   Bless this day with peace and an over abundance of joy.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of Jesus, pray for us.
