"Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, "Here is a true Israelite. There is no duplicity in him." Nathanael said to him, "How do you know me?" Jesus answered and said to him, "Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree. Nathanael answered him, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel." John 1:47-49
As you study these verses you see the revelations of both men, Jesus knew Nathaniel and Nathaniel was earnestly waiting for the messiah. What is the significance of the fig tree? What was Nathaniel doing under the tree? What ever it was it confirmed to Nathaniel that here in front of him was the son of God, the king of Israel. God sees our hearts and hears our prayers never doubt Him and always recognize the Son of God and King of Kings working in your lives. Be true to what He has called you too.
Dear Lord God, Thank You for Your loving embrace this morning, thank you for being there in the silence of the morning. Help us see You in our lives, prepare us to receive the Son of God today. Bless our efforts in all that we do. May we not lose faith even though the results may not SEEM promising. Remove the duplicity in my spirit and walk with me today. I am Your humble servant may I honor You today and not count the results. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.
Saint Bartholomew, pray for us.
