"And Mary said: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked upon his handmaid's lowliness;" Luke 1:46-48a
Our mother Mary, was to give birth to the Savior of the world. She accepted what God had asked of her, I am sure frightened but also filled with joy and awe, these words demonstrate how she truly felt. Each of us in our own ways can proclaim the greatness of the Lord, we too carry Jesus and allow Him to impact our lives and those around us. True happiness comes in our daily prayer life, those moments where you get to know your covenant family. Mary walked hand in hand with God long before the angel Gabriel came to visit her. She too was strengthened by her daily prayer life.
Dear Lord God, You know best and I accept Your will for my life. Fill my spirit with an over flowing peace. I thank Mother Mary for saying yes and her faithfulness to her children. You are the Greatest, God, I thank You for another day. May I always do Your will with a gentle heart and may You use me as You see fit. I trust in You, Amen!
Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us!
