Daily Thoughts 8-7-2017 Matthew 14:19

"And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people." Matthew‬ ‭14:19‬

The divinity of Christ, He is true God and pure man.  Yesterday in the Gospel reading we read about the transfiguration of Jesus.  His divinity shone thru and He is seen in His glory.  Today He again shows us His divinity and glory by transforming the fishes and loaves to feed the multitude.   Jesus continues to show us His divinity and glory in the Eucharistic feast that is celebrated at each mass.   "Listen to Him."

Dear Lord God, You share Your glory and divinity with us when we are fed manna from Heaven.  Fill us with Your holy presence.  Bring peace, gentleness and calmness into our spirits.  Help us overcome the challenges of the week ahead.  May we feel the spirit of peace as we go forward.   Help us see Your glory Lord for our lives.  Overcome the anxiety that holds us back.  You are the great I AM, may you shine through in my life.  Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.
