"Behold, the wages you withheld from the workers who harvested your fields are crying aloud, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts. You have lived on earth in luxury and pleasure; you have fattened your hearts for the day of slaughter." James 5:4-5
We are each given different lots in life and different talents that are to be used to glorify our Father in Heaven. If along the way we believe it is ours and only ours we are not following what Jesus tells us. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these.""
Mark 12:30-31. "Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more." Luke 12:48b. Are you serving God with His gifts or yourself. We will all seek God's mercy better to prepare for it than be ignorant of what is to come. You can no longer claim ignorance for He has told each of us in His own way. Be blessed today knowing God Loves you and give what He has given you.
Dear Heavenly Father, You overwhelm me with Your love and I thank You for sharing Your beauty and creation that is around us. May I use the gifts and talents that have been given not for my own glorification or selfish desires but to point to You and give what You give to each of us. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
