"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit," Matthew 28:19
The sign of the cross, a reminder of who and what we believe in. God the Father who created each of us. God the Son, who died for us and God the Holy Spirit who guides us. It is one of the first things I learned as a Catholic to do. A very simple gesture that indicates my faith in the Triune God. "And God, who knows the heart, bore witness by granting them the holy Spirit just as he did us." Acts 15:8. God knows my heart when I make the sign of the cross and He knows that I bear witness to Him and His saving grace.
Dear Lord God, I am thankful this morning for the opportunity to sit and listen, to be in your presence and not feel rushed. I thank You for giving us a sign that we may acknowledge our baptism into Your Holy Family. I thank You for the Holy Spirit that guides me and for the desire to follow. I pray for those that do not believe may we in some way bring light to their unbelief. Bless this day Lord and may I praise You at times without saying a word that speaks volumes. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Mary, Mother of Christ, pray for us.
