"They answered: "We clearly see that the LORD has been with you, so we thought: let there be a sworn agreement between our two sides—between you and us. Let us make a covenant with you: you shall do no harm to us, just as we have not maltreated you, but have always acted kindly toward you and have let you depart in peace. So now, may you be blessed by the LORD!"" Genesis 26:28-29
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, this chapter is much like another during the time of Abraham. What Isaac learned was passed onto to him by his father. He had learned to listen and obey God. Allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us at times is difficult because we want to intervene but doing so does not allow God to work. Those you have conflict with you will not see God at work in your life and they will not recognize the power of God. Give God room and be obedient. When Godly people come together for a common cause, there is power, there is unity and there is healing and no conflict. Allow God to work in your life and give others room to see what a faith life really looks like.
What is God saying to me: I know what you desire and I have heard your prayer, I have spoken through my word, it is not by chance that we speak about this today. Be blessed.
Dear Father, I listen and obey, thank You for loving me and allowing me to grow. May I honor You today by being obedient to Your will. I pray for the family today, may men recognize the path that God is asking of them and be living examples of their Heavenly Father. May our actions speak of God and we allow others room to grow and know the God of our Savior. I ask this in Jesus Christ, Amen.
Mary, Wife of Joesph, pray for us.
