Genesis Chapter 33 8-13-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"He set up an altar there and invoked "El, the God of Israel."" ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭33:20‬

Jacob left his home land with nothing, now he has returned home with an abundance.  His faith has been tested, his belief has been strengthened, his trust is in God, he is a wise man.  How many of us leave home to venture into the world with nothing, many years later you are much like Jacob.  Returning home has a feeling all of its own, I can't describe it but I believe you know what I am saying.  Jacob's treasure wasn't in the possessions that he gained but upon the Lord Almighty.  He has learned the faith of his father and is passing this along to the next generation.  Our relationship with God centers around the Altar, here we worship Him, we bring our sacrifices to Him and He transforms them into blessings.  Go to the altar.

What is God saying to me: I rejoice in seeing You seating there looking up at Me.  Within you I am building endurance, enjoy the day it will be busy.

Dear Father, there is a super natural peace developing within, even in the chaos there is peace.  I thank You for building my character to with stand various situations.  I thank You that through Your word there are examples of others who have lived through many things and were made stronger.  I pray this morning for a family who lost a son, my heart goes out to them.  Help them focus on You, Father, You know what they need.  A son has returned home by Your grace.  Prayers for those who are lost, may we assist in pointing the way home.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Mother of the Child Jesus, pray for us.
