Genesis Chapter 50 8-30-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Then, putting the sons of Israel under oath, he continued, "When God thus takes care of you, you must bring my bones up from this place."" Genesis‬ ‭50:25‬

Joesph gives the direction for the future, not knowing it would take quite sometime.  He was deliberate in his relationship with God, he recognized that whatever the outcome that God was in charge.  He served his life as a slave to Pharaoh but under the tutelage of God.  He was well taken care of and through his faithfulness to God so was his family.  We are all dealt a deck of cards, the one constant is God, be deliberate in your prayer life with Him.  Listen to Him and be guided be the Triune God, it will not always be perfect but it will always be fruitful, for God will be in charge.  Have a blessed day and weekend, be safe and Thank God for the life that you have.  Tomorrow, I will continue into Exodus, the story continues.

What is God saying to me: it is a great journey when You focus on Me.

Dear Father, it is an amazing story when we listen to You, I am overwhelmed by the circumstances of situations with the understanding that You are there.   Thank You Father for this joy, May others understand the import of a deliberate prayer life and the fruit that is bears in our daily lives.  Prayers for this day, prayers for those wandering in the desert.  You have given us freedom if we listen to You.  Be in me this day and everyday until you carry my bones home for You are greater than anything that we will face.  Amen.

My reflection upon the book of Genesis: As I read each day, I began to see the faithfulness of God in His relationship with us.  I seen how we would allow our passions, our lack of faith, our sinfulness interfere with our relationship with God, but God was constant.  Even in the chaos God continues to brings us back into unity with Him.  It is our daily prayer life and seeing the scripture come to life in our own life that makes it real.  I am personally looking forward to Exodus because God is giving us a new perspective into our journey in the story of salvation.  There is s reason the call it the living Word of God.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.
