Genesis Chapter 48 8-28-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"When Joseph saw that his father had laid his right hand on Ephraim's head, this seemed wrong to him; so he took hold of his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head to Manasseh's, saying, "That is not right, father; the other one is the firstborn; lay your right hand on his head!" But his father refused. "I know it, son," he said, "I know. That one too shall become a people, and he too shall be great. Nevertheless, his younger brother shall surpass him, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations."" Genesis‬ ‭48:17-19‬

History repeats itself, Joesph was not the first born yet was blessed by Isaac. Now his own two sons would be switched.  In God's salvation history for us there isn't this perfect plan that plays out and things always go as planned.  In the book of Genesis, it is a messy beginning but thru it all, you can see the Mercy of God at work.  In our own lives, there are missteps, setbacks, highs and lows yet God continues to work it out.  His blessings are there for each of us to receive.  There isn't a perfect plan that we can implement other than trusting in the divine will of God.  He points northward and we are to follow, life isn't perfect but the outcome, with God, is always perfect.  Trust Him and not self.

What is God saying to me: You got there, there isn't a set pattern.  Trust in my mercy for by yourself, you are lost.

Dear Father, the imperfect plan is always perfect, only You know our way forward.  We concern ourselves with the way things should be and not with the way things are.  The outcome is yours and we are to accept them for You always know what is best.  You are a good, good Father, thank You for this day.  Prayers for Leona this morning, having heart surgery at a tender age.  May the healing hands of God work through the medical staff.  May the family rest in the hands of God and be at peace.   Keep the Canada family in your prayers, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.
St Augustine, pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
