"Jesus said to them in reply, "Have faith in God. Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him." Mark 11:22-23
Let's set the stage for what Jesus said: He has just rode into Jerusalem on a colt, the people celebrated their coming king from a worldly viewpoint not seeing God as King. Jesus will fulfill what He wrote throughout history and from outer appearances it will not look good. But the most powerful words and actions He gives us is:"Have faith in God."
Reading His word, listening to His stories this is the message in all that He says, have faith in Him. When we are weak, He is strong. The people want answers and God is the answer. It is His power that operates within the Son of Man. You are a son or daughter of the Great King, believe in what He says and go do it. We live in a world filled with doubt and chaos, just as in the time of Jesus.
Jesus moved about in authority, that which was given Him by His Father. You have that same authority available to you! Speak life, live in faith, trust in God. No matter your circumstance come to know how much you are loved. What He says will happen, be on the winning side and live IN faith.
What is God saying to me?
Dear Father, I pray for strength for Your warriors Lord, I pray for ears to hear and eyes to see, I pray for a holy fear of You Lord. You are mighty God and when we come to You, You answer prayer, You take the little that we offer and multiply it to bring about Your kingdom. In our tribulations Lord, help us see Jesus walking with us. In our trials, give us peace when we turn to You in prayer. Prayers for an unspoken prayer, I trust in You Lord, even in this You are at work. Bless souls with ever lasting life with You. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Comfort of the Afflicted, Pray for us.
