Week 13 - The Journey Day 1
"Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away." Mark 13:30-31
Jesus is preparing for His coming crucifixion as well as preparing us in how we are to live. As you read Mark 13, read it from the perspective of Jesus living in perfect harmony with God. He is perfect and therefore knows what is coming and is living in the resurrection. His written words speak to Him as Son of Man. King David lived in the same way, in the resurrection even though Jesus hadn't been born yet. His relationship with God had been perfected.
Are we to live in fear of the coming tribulations? No, Jesus didn't live in fear. Are we to live in fear of what could happen to us in these times due to illness? No, just as Jesus lives in the knowledge of knowing He who created you is greater than anything else. Live in the resurrection, we can focus on the physical calamity but I believe Jesus tells us to live in the spirit.
May God's blessings be upon you today, you are loved by Him.
What is God saying to me? You can live in the physical and allow it to dictate to you or as My Son Jesus speaks about. You can live in My presence and fear not the coming wrath of man. Do not fear what can kill the flesh, fear that which can kill the spirit. (this is holy fear)
Dear Lord, You fill my heart with Your love, I feel the warmth and the joy that You bring into this place where You are welcomed. I thank You for telling us how to live, in giving us hope in our days. I thank You for addressing our concerns and giving us the example of Your only Son. I thank You for revealing truth in harmony when we are willing to sit and visit. Prayers for families struggling with this world, help them see the joy that is in Your face. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Our Lady of Victory, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Foster Father of the Son of God, Pray for us.
