Week 13 - The Journey Day 2
"Amen, I say to you, wherever the gospel is proclaimed to the whole world, what she has done will be told in memory of her." Mark 14:9
We have all heard about the woman who anointed Jesus before His crucifixion and death. What about her anointing? She had been anointed by God, she has thrown caution to the wind and acts boldly. She has encountered Christ, the Son of living God, she is anointed with the Holy Spirit. How else do you explain her actions and preparing Jesus for burial. Did she know Jesus was going to die? I don't believe so, she followed her heart and did what she thought she should.
We too in our own daily lives have that sense that we should move upon something or not move on something, this is the prompting of the Holy Spirit. In a sense you are anointed by God to act, now the choice is yours, do I throw caution to the wind, do I act boldly and decisive? We may never know the outcome of our actions but God knows the heart and in these steps of obedience you will be strengthened. Listen to the promptings of God in your heart, you won't get your story in the Bible, you won't be remembered in history but you will be remembered in the book of life where it matters most. Live an anointed life.
Dear Father, another blessed morning in Your presence, to see You at work in our every day circumstances and then to use Your anointed servant to make sense of what You call us to do, which is to unite. Prayers for a world that is caught up in division, help us look to the cross and see the unity that binds us all together. I ask this in Jesus name, thru the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
What is God saying to me? Listen for My guidance and My word for you. The world seeks to divide and conquer, I seek to unite all with me, it is the anointed that hear Me speak because of the Love in their hearts.
