Our salvation requires effort on our part, do I ever take possession of eternity while still on earth? Jesus died for my sins and I am washed pure by His blood but do I get to rest for my salvation? No, I don't need to worry about it but I do need to strain forward "To me, therefore, you shall be holy; for I, the LORD, am holy, and I have set you apart from other peoples to be my own." Leviticus 20:26. In God's word we never arrive until the race is over unfortunately some don't heed God's message and become self righteous. They pass judgement upon themselves and have arrived. Lord, have mercy upon me a sinner.
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for this day, I pray for our Church and the shepherd's who are leading Your people. May I strive today to be holy, cleanse my thoughts and purify my soul as only You can. I ask this through Jesus Christ, Amen.
