Ephesians 6:6 10-31-2018 dailythoughts.com

"not only when being watched, as currying favor, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart," ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:6‬

Have you ever thought of Jesus's motivations?  What drove Him to do the things that He did?  His example is the great teacher!  He could of been King with His actions, He could of taken advantage of the favor He was gaining but instead He went about His work in a very humble way and with purpose, you.   His goal was not here, it is Heaven and you with Him.  God knows our heart, He knows what is driving us so there is no fooling Him.  When was the last time you examined your actions?  "For behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:30‬.  I am reminded daily that I need to live the words that I preach, Jesus did!  Be a slave of Christ and trust in His will even when it hurts, Jesus feels the pain but see's the heart.

Litany of Humility
O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed,

Deliver me, Jesus.

From the desire of being loved...
From the desire of being extolled ...
From the desire of being honored ...
From the desire of being praised ...
From the desire of being preferred to others...
From the desire of being consulted ...
From the desire of being approved ...
From the fear of being humiliated ...
From the fear of being despised...
From the fear of suffering rebukes ...
From the fear of being calumniated ...
From the fear of being forgotten ...
From the fear of being ridiculed ...
From the fear of being wronged ...
From the fear of being suspected ...

That others may be loved more than I,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.

That others may be esteemed more than I ...
That, in the opinion of the world,
others may increase and I may decrease ...
That others may be chosen and I set aside ...
That others may be praised and I unnoticed ...
That others may be preferred to me in everything...
That others may become holier than I,
provided that I may become as holy as I should…

Luke 13:20-21 10-30-2018 Dailythoughts.com

"Again he said, "To what shall I compare the kingdom of God? It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed [in] with three measures of wheat flour until the whole batch of dough was leavened." Luke‬ ‭13:20-21‬

I have this picture in my home with Jesus sitting on a hillside looking down intently, sitting in peace.  I can't help but think that He is thinking, I have given them everything that I have been given, I have shown them how they are to love by my example, I have given them knowledge of right and wrong and I give them hope for eternity if they accept it.   He is the yeast that lives within us, what living example do our lives speak of Him?  "and no one will announce, 'Look, here it is,' or, 'There it is.' For behold, the kingdom of God is among you." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭17:21‬.  Are we imitating His example daily, little eyes are always watching, and there is a lot of dough to be leavened.

Dear Father God, Your living example is always amongst us and encourages each of us to speak of You in our actions.  Help me today be the yeast of You in someone's life.  Help me evangelize without ever saying a word that You may penetrate their heart and produce leavened dough.  Your plan is amazing and the bread is heavenly if only we would slow down and see what You see.   Prayers of thanksgiving this morning for You in my life and for answered prayers.  May the yeast continue to rise!  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Ark of the Covenant, pray for us.

Luke 13:12-13

"When Jesus saw her, he called to her and said, "Woman, you are set free of your infirmity." He laid his hands on her, and she at once stood up straight and glorified God." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:12-13‬

Who does Jesus say He is?  He is the Son of God, we do not know Him by His words, we know Him by our actions.  This woman He cured, she did not ask Him to be healed she was being faithful to God coming into His house to worship.  Jesus with eyes of compassion removed her burden and she stood up straight and glorified God.  In our own lives do we see with eyes of compassion?   Do our own actions speak of God.  We are told "So be imitators of God, as beloved children," ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:1‬.  What do our own actions say about who we say Jesus is?

Dear Lord God, each day brings new opportunities to praise and worship You.  You know the burdens that each of us carries and it is You that gives us the strength to stand up straight and glorify You with our lives.  I thank You Father for eyes of faith, I thank You for eyes of compassion, I thank You for the strength and wisdom You give each of us to be imitators of Your Son Jesus.  May I glorify You today and when I am weak, You be strong in me.  I ask this in Jesus's name, Amen.

Mary, Spouse of the Holy Ghost, pray for us.

Ephesians 4:8 10-27-2018 dailythoughts.com

"Therefore, it says: "He ascended on high and took prisoners captive; he gave gifts to men."" ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:8‬

"I, then, a prisoner for the Lord" ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:1‬a.  We are all prisoners of our own choices, nothing happens to you without you allowing it or freely choosing.  Jesus gives us the choice to be held captive by Him.  To use the gifts God has given us to build the Kingdom of God.  You may not like the current divide in this world and all that comes with it, but you have a choice in how you respond.  Will your response be of God or the other warden who condemn us for our actions.  I choose God.  ""No one can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:24‬

Dear Father God, we are made in Your image with the power to choose right from wrong.  You sent Your Son to pay for our sins so we may repent and live in peace under Your tutelage.  Help me see the cause and effect of my choices and I give You full authority to correct me.  You are my Master and I freely choose You, the food that You give is eternal.  Prayers for a blessed day and thank You to be able to witness Your Kingdom continue to grow.   Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Ephesians 4:1 10-26-2018 dailythoughts.com

"I, then, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received," ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:1‬

I like being held captive by God, it requires that I make a decision to remain captive by His will and remain under His protection.  It is a Great prison to live in for the doors have no locks, you decide to stay or go.  Within these walls you are coached, you are taught and you learn to heed the Master's voice but you are free to leave at any time.  Have you or will you respond to the call in a manner worthy?  The great thing about God's prison, you have a choice.

Got to go, I hear God calling me to a prayer meeting, love listening to Him speak through His disciples being held captive.  Enjoy your day and be blessed, God is watching.

Dear Lord God, You are so good to me, keeping me out of harms way.  Giving me a life and a desire to seek You and Your Kingdom.  Thank You Father for these graces.  May Your Kingdom be rewarded with all the prisoners who seek to be obedient to You and Your will.  Father, I am so looking forward to seeing You face to face, I am not perfect yet, but I am Yours.  In the name that saved me, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Ephesians 3:14-16 10-25-2018 daikythoughts.com

"For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self," ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:14-16‬

Will you humble yourself before our Lord and allow Him to teach you?  To be strengthened with power by His Spirit will mean being corrected.  Living with the word of God in our daily walk will make us reflect inward and cause us to ask am I living as He would live.  If His Spirit lives in me, He will convict me of those area that need adjustment.  This isn't fun but very rewarding.  Over time you begin to realize inner strength, your conviction is stronger, fear goes away, Joy becomes your friend.  It begins with humility and being willing to recognize your weaknesses.  None of us our perfect only He.

Dear Father God, You know us better than we know ourselves.  You have insight that we do not, I kneel before You today asking to be strengthened.  I love our walk together, You never stop teaching.  Bless those that are suffering with Your peace and allow Christ to shine through.  May I live Your words today and may the Holy Spirit be my companion, strengthening the inner self for what lays ahead.  To Jesus be the Victory, Amen.

Luke 12:42 10-24-2018 dailythoughts.com

"And the Lord replied, "Who, then, is the faithful and prudent steward whom the master will put in charge of his servants to distribute [the] food allowance at the proper time?" Luke‬ ‭12:42‬

You are the keeper of the key, for someone!  "Then Judas, his betrayer, said in reply, "Surely it is not I, Rabbi?" He answered, "You have said so." Matthew‬ ‭26:25‬.  How many of us think we aren't capable or we need everything to be just right.  Our lives are a gift from God, You are the steward of your life.  Your events prepares you to help others.  When is the proper time for you?  "Behold, now is a very acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:2‬b.  You do not know when Jesus is coming, listen to God, respond when He asks and just act.  Be the faithful servant some lost soul needs what you have been given!

Dear Lord God, I hear you calling and know not to say but I will go.  Be in my thoughts, my actions and my words.  Forgive me for my past transgressions, instill Your confidence within.  I thank You for all that You are giving, some days seem monotonous but I know You are involved with EVERY detail of our lives.  You loved us from death into life.  May we recognize the opportunities in our lives to be good and faithful stewards.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Luke 12:35-36 10-23-2018 dailythoughts.com

""Gird your loins and light your lamps and be like servants who await their master's return from a wedding, ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:35-36‬

"Therefore, stay awake, for you know neither the day nor the hour." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:13‬.  Life changes in a blink of an eye, are you ready for the unexpected ?   Are you be prepared, is your lamp lite, do you know where your Peace comes from?  Returning from a wedding is a joyous event, will you have your house in order for the Master?  Will you have done what Jesus has asked of you.  Listening to Jesus, doing His will and being ready, we will be prepared.  Jesus does not come unannounced, He is coming and gives you time to prepare.  Heed His voice for you do not know the day nor the hour but He is coming.  Knock.

Dear Lord God, I thank You for the strength in the unexpected moments of life.  I thank You for preparing Your servants by giving us time.  May I await Your return with joy in my heart, my house in order and may You find an obedient servant living in peace.  Prayers for a friend in need of strength, I thank You for his blessings of joy.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Ephesians 2:10 10-22-2018 dailythoughts.com

"For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for the good works that God has prepared in advance, that we should live in them." ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:10‬

We have all died with Christ, have we Risen with Him?  We are not saved by good works, we are saved by grace but Paul tells us we are created in Christ Jesus for the good works.  How are you living out your faith in Christ Jesus?  Do you apply to the thinking once saved always saved?  If so, in my opinion and in the word of God you are no different than the parable of the rich man who built new storage barns.  "But God said to him, 'You fool, this night your life will be demanded of you; and the things you have prepared, to whom will they belong?' Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:20-21‬.  What matters to God?  That we live in the good works that He has prepared in advance for each of us.  "For just as a body without a spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead." ‭‭James‬ ‭2:26‬.  Ask your Savior Jesus for His Holy Spirit and then get to work living out your faith.

Dear Lord Jesus, You are my great Teacher, it is You whom I listen to and heed.  You speak in ways that challenge and cause me to ponder.  I want You to know that I trust in You, it is not my will but thy will be done.  You lead the way and I will follow, I will do the works that Father God has prepared specifically for me through You and the Holy Spirit.  Awaken within each of us the desire to serve You and Your Kingdom.  Our treasure is not of this world and You have plenty of room to store what is important, souls.  Amen.

Mark 10:38 10-21-2018 dailythoughts.com

"Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him and said to him, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you."" Mark‬ ‭10:35‬

I wonder how many of us ask Christ the same thing?  We have a goal, mission or purpose we are wanting help with or resolved.  Do we know what we are asking of God.  Jesus came to serve and answer our requests but He also wants us to give what we have received.  Are we willing to share our faith despite what others may think?  Are we willing to be crucified for being Christian, Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran, a follower of Christ.l, do we boldly speak of Him?  I love Jesus's response to their question.  "Can you drink the cup that I drink or be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?"" Mark‬ ‭10:38‬.  If you can answer yes than Thank God for this grace.  The question is not an easy one, know that He understands your answer, "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin. So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help."
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:15-16‬.  Continue to seek Him and allow the presence of God to penetrate your heart.

Dear Lord God, I love watching You in action in the normal events of life.  You journey out into the pastures to seek those that are seeking You.  May we be faithful servants and accept whatever comes our way with confidence knowing You are greater than any of our challenges.  Help us see we are made strong in our weaknesses when we turn to You.  Prayers for a friend that is searching for You as he approaches the Throne of Heaven.  May he feel the love of Your Son Jesus within his heart.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 8:3-4 10-20-2018 dailythoughts.com

"When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained; What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him?" ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭8:3-4‬

I sit and gaze at the heavens this morning enjoying the beauty that God has created.  I think about life and realize a time where God wasn't a second thought.  We can take care of ourselves or we can place ourselves under His authority.  Under His authority, He will care for you, may not be what you would expect but He will give you life to the fullest and the splendor He created you for, just like the stars in the skies.  Subjugate your will to Him and be cared for, live life to the fullest with God at the center.

Dear Father God, Your Son Jesus is the head, I am part of the body, You are in charge today.  I place myself within Your care and I am obedient to Your will.   Prayers for this country and its future, prayers for our children and grandchildren, may each of us be living examples of Your glory giving them hope, true hope for the future.  Thank You for this morning!

SAINT PATRICK'S LORICA FOR PROTECTION

I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through belief in the Threeness,
Through confession of the Oneness
of the Creator of creation.

I arise today
Through the strength of Christ's birth with His baptism,
Through the strength of His crucifixion with His burial,
Through the strength of His resurrection with His ascension,
Through the strength of His descent for the judgment of doom.

I arise today
Through the strength of the love of cherubim,
In the obedience of angels,
In the service of archangels,
In the hope of resurrection to meet with reward,
In the prayers of patriarchs,
In the predictions of prophets,
In the preaching of apostles,
In the faith of confessors,
In the innocence of holy virgins,
In the deeds of righteous men.

I arise today, through
The strength of heaven,
The light of the sun,
The radiance of the moon,
The splendor of fire,
The speed of lightning,
The swiftness of wind,
The depth of the sea,
The stability of the earth,
The firmness of rock.

I arise today, through
God's strength to pilot me,
God's might to uphold me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to guard me,
God's shield to protect me,
God's host to save me
From snares of devils,
From temptation of vices,
From everyone who shall wish me ill,
afar and near.

I summon today
All these powers between me and those evils,
Against every cruel and merciless power
that may oppose my body and soul,
Against incantations of false prophets,
Against black laws of pagandom,
Against false laws of heretics,
Against craft of idolatry,
Against spells of witches and smiths and wizards,
Against every knowledge that corrupts man's body and soul;
Christ to shield me today
Against poison, against burning,
Against drowning, against wounding,
So that there may come to me an abundance of reward.

Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.

Luke 12:5 10-19-2018 dailythoughts.com

"I shall show you whom to fear. Be afraid of the one who after killing has the power to cast into Gehenna; yes, I tell you, be afraid of that one." Luke‬ ‭12:5‬

Our journey thru life is ours, how we respond is ours and the outcome is ours. We each decide to accept the love of Christ within our hearts or to ignore His love. God is Love, killing is not in His Spirit it is us that allows this to happen when not following Christ. There is fear a healthy fear of the Lord that we are walking in His path and guidance. Know thyself.

Dear Father God, Thank You for this day and these moments to enjoy your creation l. Bless this day keep us safe and bring peace into our hearts. Amen

2 Timothy 4:17 10-18-2018 dailythoughts.com

"But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength, so that through me the proclamation might be completed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was rescued from the lion's mouth." ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:17‬

Each day begins anew, building upon the previous one.  God is immortal and we are made in His image.  We are made immortal, as you go about your day realize that every one you come into contact will live forever.  Will they spend eternity in Heaven or Hell?  When we stand with God we are strengthened being prepared for eternity.  He is always at the ready to help when we call upon Him.  Your life is your proclamation for Him, do others know where you stand?  What about strangers in happen chance encounters, do they see you call upon Him.  Proclaiming is an action that doesn't always need words.  He will open the door when He wants you to speak.  Remember that stranger is immortal just like you.   Proclaim His message and use words when necessary.

Dear Father God, You are so good to me, I love the comfort and security that You provide.  We are walking together as long as I bring You with me wherever we go.  I pray for those not walking with You knowingly may they see the joy of knowing You through the action of Your disciples.  Prayers for a friend in need may he relax and give all to You, there is nothing to fear but fear itself and Your Son Jesus conquered that.  Bless this day with the strength of You in my heart.  Amen.

Galatians 5:25 10-17-2018 dailythoughts.com

"If we live in the Spirit, let us also follow the Spirit." ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:25‬

Good words to start the day and live the day with.  Can I look back tonight before I sleep and still be in peace.  It is easy, for me, to live in the Spirit sitting in my sacred space the rest of the day not so easy.  The pressures of life and the things that come at us want to take that peace away.  We must live in the Spirit when we are not sitting in our sacred space or we must make where we are our sacred space.  Jesus brought I calmness wherever He went.  He lived in the Spirit and followed the Spirit.  He listened to His Father, we, or better yet I, should listen to the Spirit and heed His voice.  How do we know if we are living in the Spirit?  Where Jesus is there is peace.  Bring your sacred space with you, enjoy your day, God is already out in front, follow Him.

Dear Lord God, I love living in the Spirit but You know the journey.  I turn to You for guidance throughout my day.  May I recall our conversation this morning and follow You and Your example.  Remind me today when I get out in front, bring me back to live in this sacred space.  You are my rock and the greatest gift I can give is my obedience to the Triune God.  Bless this day Lord, May we all bring You into all of our day.  May we recognize that where Jesus is, there is peace and a sense of calmness.  Help us live that today as we walk out the door or get up from our chair.  May I walk in peace today.  Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all, Triune God be my all.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Luke 11:40-41 10-16-2018 dailythoughts.com

"You fools! Did not the maker of the outside also make the inside? But as to what is within, give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you." Luke‬ ‭11:40-41‬

Maybe you are not in a position of authority but think about the burdens you place upon others.  Do you pass judgement upon someone based upon what you think you know or believe what you have been told.  Are you laying on heavy burdens upon others, and believe yourself to be holier than thou, this was the thinking of the Pharisees.

Do you give kind words to others or is what is coming out vile?  Do you give what God has given you.  God created you in His image, you were made pure and holy.  It takes effort and careful thought to give what God gives.  Greater is He that is in me, give Him away today.  Relieve the load upon another weary traveler, guard your tongue, do not pass judgement, take others as they are now and not who they were or have done in the past.  This is another form of almsgiving we sometimes fail to see.  If you see others as how God sees them, His creation then you are reflecting God within and He is greater in you and you are being cleansed within.

Dear Lord God, I thank You for this day, I praise You this day Lord.  You are greater than all the things that are out there, You are within.  I thank You for Your strength today Lord, I thank You for the battle armor and I thank You for making me holy.  Bless those in the fight, lift them up Lord and show them You love them.  Comfort them in their afflictions and purify them on their journey.  Prayers for the Pharisees, May they see what they are doing when they look in the mirror and see Your creation, a reflection of Jesus seeking to please His Father.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Luke 11:29 10-15-2018 dailythoughts.com

"While still more people gathered in the crowd, he said to them, "This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it, except the sign of Jonah." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:29‬

Personal responsibility, our journey with Jesus is a personal journey.  How we respond is entirely up to each of us.  Do we seek God out or do we ignore those He sends along our path to change our ways and turn back to Him.  The reality of Christ is all around, do we see what He is doing?  The Pharisees chose to ignore the signs and miracles that Jesus was performing and they missed their Savior.  What about you in this day and age, do you see Jesus at work?

Dear Lord God, Jonah was reluctant to go but He went.  He preached Your message to Nineveh and they listened.  Our own journeys resemble Jonah's, at first not obeying and then following Your direction.  Make us obedient to Your word and increase the people of Nineveh who listen to You.  Father You know all and I am thankful and humble for that.  Amen.

Mark 10:23 10-14-2018 dailythoughts.com

"Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!" Mark‬ ‭10:23‬

How does Jesus define wealth?  In my opinion those things or possessions that one is unwilling to give up for God.  He is the Good Teacher and His Holy Spirit strives to sanctify each of us but we must be willing to respond and give of ourselves.  There is another thought in my head this Sunday as I watched people going about their day not really giving God any thought.   Our time is a possession, are we willing to give that to God?  "He said to Peter, "So you could not keep watch with me for one hour?" ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:40b‬. The parable of the wealthy man has many meanings along with wealth.  "Therefore I prayed, and prudence was given me; I pleaded and the spirit of Wisdom came to me. I preferred her to scepter and throne, And deemed riches nothing in comparison with her," ‭‭Wisdom‬ ‭7:7-8‬.  The spirit of Wisdom is given to those who seek her out and she is greater than any prize this world can give.  Be like Jesus and serve your Father in Heaven, little eyes are watching what do you consider wealth more than God.  Give of your time and keep watch with Him at least one hour each week.

Dear Holy Spirit, I treasure our company together and the desires You place within my heart.  I thank You for the time we spend together and the pearls of great price You are giving each of us.  Increase my love for You and instill Your wisdom within to be given at Your command.  May I be convicted with Your gentle love for I am being sanctified by Your Holy Spirit.  Overshadow us this day to be a pleasing offering in Your site and may we each recognize the possessions of wealth You are asking us to give up for You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Good Success, pray for us.

Galatians 3:27 10-13-2018 dailythoughts.com

"For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ." Galatians‬ ‭3:27‬

Unity comes to mind, we are united with Christ when we are baptized.  We have clothed ourselves with Him.  Why do we take Him off?  Sin creates division within our hearts and we separate ourselves from Him.  But He never separates Himself from us.

The devil works at ways to divide, he has done this since the beginning but if we are one with Christ, we have already passed the test.  "for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Galatians‬ ‭3:28‬. Jesus stayed calm in difficult situations, He remained at peace, He looked up when He needed help.  Learn to remain in peace even when all kind of things are going on around you.  Remain clothed in Christ Jesus, He is relying upon you to keep Him within even when devil is working hard to create division.  With Christ all things are possible without Him, all hell breaks loose.

Dear Lord God, I love wearing You, we remain calm even in the distractions.  We remain focused on the task at hand, we are One.  Thank You for this grace and the ability to think of You within when stress or anxiousness comes.  Thank You for Your strength when I am weak.  Bless this day God and do not allow me to unclothe us.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Peace, pray for us.

John 12:31b-32 10-12-2018 dailythoughts.com

"now the ruler of this world will be driven out. And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself."" ‭‭John‬ ‭12:31-32‬

Look up, just look up and call upon the Lord Jesus Christ.  We think things are beyond fixing but Jesus tells us to just look up.  When I get in a point of desperation and I think God doesn't hear me, He reminds me in subtle ways that He is right there.  He has never left me, and He has driven out the evil that prowls around.  It is such a joy to hear God answer prayer.  Maybe you don't hear Him, look up.  Have the faith of a mustard seed and He will move mountains.  Look up, He is drawing us to Him and giving us direction on how to respond.  The best response in all situations, and I mean ALL situations is to look up and just start praising your Creator.  Greater is He that is in YOU, than he that is in the world.  Jesus has driven him out!!  Look up, God has it under control, STOP WORRYING and look up!

Dear Lord Jesus, I praise you in the light, I walk with you in the valley and on the mountain tops.  You are God, You created all of this and You love me for who I am, even in my weakness.  I thank You Lord for ALL things even the stuff, You are God and You will not give us anything we can't handle. We can not grow muscle without hard effort, I thank You for the faith and strength that You are given each of us to persevere through the pain.  Help each of us look up and give Thanks.  To God, my Creator and Savior, goes the glory and the power for ever and ever amen.

Praise God, get on your knees and praise Him for He bears all for YOU!  Praise Him, just praise Him today and change your vocabulary.  It makes Him weep when we do not give thanks for His creation.  Praise God and look up.  it is a beautiful day.

Mary, Mother of the Jesus, teach us to love each other.

Thank You Jesus for another day to witness You in action, may I walk in Your ways.

Luke 11:8 10-11-2018 dailythoughts.com

"I tell you, if he does not get up to give him the loaves because of their friendship, he will get up to give him whatever he needs because of his persistence." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:8‬

Jesus sure likes bread, the Gospels are full of stories about bread.  Seems pretty important to Him doesn't it.  He, Jesus is persistent in His message of the bread.  We all need the spiritual food that will feed us for the journey that gets us up to go out for a friend and get the food to feed a weary traveler.  Jesus doesn't beat the door down but in a subtle and gentle way, He is persistence in His message.  "I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world." John‬ ‭6:51‬.  Now if I needed bread where would I go get it at?   There is something about this bread.  A little food for thought today from the Masters table, knock and He will answer the question.

Dear Lord God, I thank You this morning for Your flesh and blood that feeds me.  I thank You for persona christi whom You work thru that answers the call to feed the sheep.   Bless Your followers with faith, joy and peace as they build Your kingdom.  Show us how to be persistent without knocking the door down.  Help us keep our emotions in check when we are rejected, there is a reason for everything and Father always knows best.  Thank You for another day to taste and see.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Luke 11:4 10-10-2018 dailythoughts.com

"and forgive us our sins for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us, and do not subject us to the final test." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:4‬

Are you preparing for your finals?  Remember those days when you had to prepare for the last test of the year.  Everything up to that point was to get you ready so you could demonstrate what you had learned.  Life is also preparing us for eternity, will we be subject to the final test?  Scripture is talking about the end, the tribulations that some will face before God turns out the lights.  Each of us will face our final test, are you forgiving others?  Are you forgiving self?  Is your life a testament to God's forgiveness?  I never really studied for my finals at school, most of the time I would wing it.  This test, by His grace, He has me studying a little everyday.  I had better seek more forgiveness and say I am sorry more.  By His grace I will be ready for He lives within.

Dear Lord God, we are blessed with Your presence each day do we slow down and sit with Your word.  Do we forgive others and not remind them of their past faults.  You have forgiven us, help us let go of the pain others have caused us and truly forgive as You do.  May the spirit of Peace be instilled within our hearts and prepare us for eternity.  Gracious Father, look with favor upon those hearts seeking forgiveness and wipe their slate clean.   I thank You Lord for being merciful, may I learn to be merciful as well.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Galatians 1:15 9-9-2018 Dailythoughts.com

"But when [God], who from my mother's womb had set me apart and called me through his grace, was pleased" ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1:15‬

We are all uniquely made and we are all formed differently thru life's circumstances.  We are each called to follow our Father in Heaven for He gives us our unique abilities but what pleases Him?  When we choose to follow Him through His grace.  I do none of this on my own, it is His grace working thru a willing spirit.  Follow me throughout the day and you will see times I get in the way, most of the time, but through His grace we are being made perfect.  It is His grace that transforms a sinner into a saint.  Paul, the greatest of sinners became one of the greatest saints as he allowed God to perfect Him.  All he was, was a willing spirit, saved by the grace of God.  Step out and step into grace and be transformed.

Dear Loving God, I love You, I adore You and I worship You with my life.  You know my days and its opportunities, help me overcome my will when faced with challenges.  May I always trust in You and look up when I need help.  I ask for more grace but will receive what ever You provide.  Prayers for a special intention that only You know, I place this within Your care.  Thank You for a willing spirit and for loving me, a sinner. unconditionally.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Luke 10:25 10-8-2018 Dailythoughts.com

"There was a scholar of the law who stood up to test him and said, "Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"" ‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:25‬

How far as a Christian culture have we strayed from the truth.  Walk into many churches today and their answer to this question is the sinners prayer.  But Jesus's answer is much different, it contains love thy neighbor as thy self.  There are no short cuts to Heaven, there are no roads that are easy, we must move on from loving self.  We can not give what we do not have.  Jesus helped the scholar understand that salvation is found in giving of self freely even when it is inconvenient.  "Which of these three, in your opinion, was neighbor to the robbers' victim?" He answered, "The one who treated him with mercy." Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:36-37‬.  Do we share the gospel with our lives in action?  Or do we find comfort sitting in a pew repeating the sinners prayer?  Do not be fooled, give His mercy away.

Dear Heavenly Father, You call us out of darkness into action, to be living examples of Your saving grace.  Move us to action and help us see our neighbors as those we will meet today by chance.  May we go beyond the convenient and share Your mercy with them.  I pray for the strength and courage to go beyond myself.  Prayers for a sweet lady adjusting to her circumstances of life, ease her anxiety and be greater in her.  I ask this in Your Holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Angels, pray for us.

Psalms 119:71 10-6-2018 dailythoughts.com

"It was good for me to be afflicted, in order to learn your statutes." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:71‬

Life is a great teacher, we the student do we stop, sit still and ponder the lesson?  There is a cause and effect to our actions and decisions.  Can we see the good in the affliction?  What have we learned and is God trying to teach us something.  Too many times we go off on our own without consulting God and then we want Him to bail us out.  He wants us to come to Him in all things and sometimes He needs to get our attention.  We all need to slow down and give Him 15-20 minutes of our day to contemplate His word.  Invite God in, see the good in all things.  When life is good, are you rejoicing with God or has He served His purpose until the next crisis that you created?  15-20 minutes is Holy time that is so amazing, just you and Him, where you can learn His statues, listen.

Dear Father God, I thank You for the desire to sit still and learn from You.  I invite you into all the circumstances of my life, You know the decisions and response we have to give.  May they all be of God so He will be edified and praised.  Prayers for this country as it struggles to deny You and truth.  Thank You for the examples of Holy living that are just getting started in life.  We can learn a lot from a child who loves Your Holy Family.  Bless this day Lord and may I only do Your will.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Psalms 139:13-14 10-5-2018 dailythoughts.com

"You formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother's womb. I praise you, because I am wonderfully made; wonderful are your works! My very self you know." Psalms‬ ‭139:13-14‬

God who formed my inmost being in my mother's womb, do you think He is forming me in the circumstances of life?  Praise be God for He is still forming me and you.  Those situations in your life how are they affecting you?  Are you not becoming more dependent upon God for you know only He can resolve them.  You are being formed by holy circumstances and sometimes it hurts.  I lost a friend this week, it came as a shock.  He was a man I had a lot of respect for in the business world.  I am thankful that God never stops forming us and "We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose." ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:28‬. He knows you better than you know yourself, stop and listen to God at work in your life.  Your day may come unexpectedly like it did for a good man.  Listen.

Father God, I praise You this morning for the circumstances, for the messes and situations that cause me to reflect upon You.   I praise You for always having our best interest at heart even when we ignore You or want to fight back.  We may act like spoiled children but You are always the wise Father teaching His children.  I praise You for the journey and the joy You pour out.  I thank You for the blessings, I thank You for the lessons and I thank You for always being there even when I may not be.  I love You more today than I did yesterday.  I thank You for allowing me to hear You and to be obedient.  I thank You for the correction when I get out of line.  I pray for those who are hard of hearing, who don't see the error of their ways.  I pray for those who fight back.  I pray they see a loving Father with His hand out asking them to trust Him.  Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.  Amen.

Job 19:27 10-4-2018 Job 19:27

"I will see for myself, my own eyes, not another's, will behold him: my inmost being is consumed with longing." ‭‭Job‬ ‭19:27‬

I can get up each day and share my thoughts with you but until you internalize who Jesus is to you they are just words.  The songs that are attached sound great but until you have made Jesus a home in your heart they are just sweet sounding songs.   In order for our witness to be authentic we most be able to answer the question: Who is Jesus to me.  He is a longing in my heart that is/will only be satisfied when we are together (for eternity).  Loving Christ is a great journey that will take you places you never dreamed of going and you wait with baited breath to get there.  Make Jesus a home in your heart, make Him your Christ.

Dear Father God it is an amazing journey to be a part of and be a witness too.  Thank You for this great adventure.  Thank You for your witnesses who share You with others and help us understand our own journey.  Prayers for a friend going thru a medical procedure reassure him that he is in good hands, Yours.  Bless the young lady who shared her heart with the High school kids and May it bear fruit for the Kingdom.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 88:12 10-3-2018 dailythoughts.com

"Is your mercy proclaimed in the grave, your faithfulness among those who have perished?" ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭88:12‬

We are each given a finite number of days, what we do with them is important.  Once our number is up can we do the work of God anymore?  "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy."  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:7‬.  When we are planted in the ground can our faithfulness be known by a passerby?  God gives each of us talents and gifts, mercy is a gift from God do not be like the servant who accepts mercy from his master and does not pass it on.  Do not be like the servant who hides his talent not multiplying it.  Let His light shine by showing mercy and multiplying His gifts.  We are accountable to God and we will answer to Him no matter what we attained on this earth, whether it be a little or a lot.  It was the widow woman who gave the most with her last mite.

Dear Lord God, I am sorry for my selfishness and allowing anxiety to get the better of me.  Help me live each day as if it were my last, help me be the best version of who You created that I can.  Overcome all my struggles and show me the err of my ways so when my time is up, I may be shown mercy and be received into Your open arms.  I love You Father and I thank You for this day.  Prayers for a good friend, may He be shown mercy when he needs it most.  In the name above every other name, my Savior, Jesus.  Amen.

Job 3:20-21 dailythoughts.com 10-2-2018

"Why is light given to the toilers, life to the bitter in spirit? They wait for death and it does not come; they search for it more than for hidden treasures." Job‬ ‭3:20-21‬

Are you a pessimist or an optimist?  Life is meant to be lived and lived in a way that brings joy to others.  With an optimistic outlook you can always see the good in situations.  A pessimist sees the bad and things of the bad possibilities, missing the hidden treasures.  Both of these view points paint their own world yet God is always constant.  Both deal with the same life events but only one remains focused.  Today listen to your own words are you painting a bleak picture in your own world.  What you speak, your ears hear and puts your mind either at ease or in a whirlwind.  Jesus even in the middle of His troubles found joy in His suffering.  Stop creating your own troubles and start living!!

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray these words make a difference in a mind that needs help. You know how to penetrate the darkness and I ask that this morning.  I pray for a friend that needs Your encouragement, I pray for better days for them.  I thank You for the grace of seeing the good in all things even in the troubles.  Help us see that it is You that defines us and not our circumstances, may we look and find the hidden treasure that You planted for us.  To You be the glory and the power for ever and ever, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Suffering, pray for us.

Job 1:20-21 dailythoughts.com 10-1-2018

"Then Job arose and tore his cloak and cut off his hair. He fell to the ground and worshiped. He said, "Naked I came forth from my mother's womb, and naked shall I go back there. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD!"" Job‬ ‭1:20-21‬

When life comes at us, where do you turn?  Job lost everything, his livestock, his worldly possessions and his children.  Did he get mad at God, did he ask why me?  No he fell to the ground and started worshipping God.  He knew that God would be there to console him and help him through this time of his life.  Do you turn to God and worship Him during these times?  Job is a great example of how we are to respond.  Learn to grow closer to God and not farther away during the hardships of life.  Learn to thank God in all things.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us see You in the struggle, help us grow closer to You when life gets challenging.  May we learn to praise You when our faith is being strengthened.  Thank You God for considering us worthy to be put to the test, You are worthy and endured the ultimate test so that we may live with You for ever.  Bless this day Lord, I thank You for the teaching that life brings to each of us.  You are by my side, together we will be filled with joy no matter the circumstances for You are greater.   Blessed be the name of God, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
