"Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him and said to him, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you."" Mark 10:35
I wonder how many of us ask Christ the same thing? We have a goal, mission or purpose we are wanting help with or resolved. Do we know what we are asking of God. Jesus came to serve and answer our requests but He also wants us to give what we have received. Are we willing to share our faith despite what others may think? Are we willing to be crucified for being Christian, Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran, a follower of Christ.l, do we boldly speak of Him? I love Jesus's response to their question. "Can you drink the cup that I drink or be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?"" Mark 10:38. If you can answer yes than Thank God for this grace. The question is not an easy one, know that He understands your answer, "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin. So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help."
Hebrews 4:15-16. Continue to seek Him and allow the presence of God to penetrate your heart.
Dear Lord God, I love watching You in action in the normal events of life. You journey out into the pastures to seek those that are seeking You. May we be faithful servants and accept whatever comes our way with confidence knowing You are greater than any of our challenges. Help us see we are made strong in our weaknesses when we turn to You. Prayers for a friend that is searching for You as he approaches the Throne of Heaven. May he feel the love of Your Son Jesus within his heart. In Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Mother of Jesus, pray for us.
