Luke 11:8 10-11-2018 dailythoughts.com

"I tell you, if he does not get up to give him the loaves because of their friendship, he will get up to give him whatever he needs because of his persistence." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:8‬

Jesus sure likes bread, the Gospels are full of stories about bread.  Seems pretty important to Him doesn't it.  He, Jesus is persistent in His message of the bread.  We all need the spiritual food that will feed us for the journey that gets us up to go out for a friend and get the food to feed a weary traveler.  Jesus doesn't beat the door down but in a subtle and gentle way, He is persistence in His message.  "I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world." John‬ ‭6:51‬.  Now if I needed bread where would I go get it at?   There is something about this bread.  A little food for thought today from the Masters table, knock and He will answer the question.

Dear Lord God, I thank You this morning for Your flesh and blood that feeds me.  I thank You for persona christi whom You work thru that answers the call to feed the sheep.   Bless Your followers with faith, joy and peace as they build Your kingdom.  Show us how to be persistent without knocking the door down.  Help us keep our emotions in check when we are rejected, there is a reason for everything and Father always knows best.  Thank You for another day to taste and see.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
