Galatians 5:16 6-30-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"I say, then: live by the Spirit and you will certainly not gratify the desire of the flesh." Galatians‬ ‭5:16‬

Have you submitted yourself to the Holy Spirit?  We are all slaves to someone, why not let it be Him.  Being under the control of His Holy Spirit is listening to His direction and being obedient.  The Spirit opposes the desires of the flesh and we are a slave to one or the other.  In those moments of weakness, ask God for strength to not fall victim to the flesh.  As we spend time each day in God's Word, we are renewing our minds and our desires.  We desire happiness and peace, this is found thru the Spirit.

What is God saying to me: listen to My words and allow them to penetrate your soul, I love you.  ❤️

Dear Lord, we begin again another day, we get to choose who enslaves us, I choose You.  Renew my thoughts Lord, refresh my spirit as I seek You.  I thank You for Your protection especially when we are under Your control.  Help me this day Father and allow me to see the beauty of freedom when I choose You.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Psalms 34:8-9 6-29-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he saves them. Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the stalwart one who takes refuge in him." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34:8-9‬

There are times in our lives we feel entrapped, this is never the case if you fear the Lord.  If we could only see the spirit world, we would see a fight going on and those that have placed their trust in God would walk with angels around them, being protected by God.  There are times our armor gets pierced and we must remember to turn to God and seek His help.  Taste and see the Lord is good!  Put on your battle armor.

What is God saying to me: Well done my good and faithful one, Well done.  I see what you can not.

Dear Father, I thank You for watching over us and sending Your angels to protect us.  Release us from the bondage that we are in and lead us to the way of freedom.  You know what my heart desires and how it yearns for You but still struggles with certain things.  I trust in You for the guidance and training so I may be a blessing in Your Kingdom.  Thank You for this day and we are truly blessed to be able to call You Father.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 23:4 6-28-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff comfort me." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23:4

Happy feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, He leads.

Where is Jesus leading you?  I look within and see a cleansing process going on, kinda like scrubbing off the burnt stuff on the bottom of a pan.  But it is Jesus who is leading, it is He who guides us through different things for a purpose.  It is never a good feeling but you can see His rod and His staff, now that brings hope.  Sometimes there is more going on within us then we realize, God is showing us hidden areas that after they are polished will bring us much joy.  The best part about the journey is Jesus is leading us into the heart of God!

What is God saying to me:  the light illuminates the darkness, preparing you.  Rejoice and be glad for you are not alone.

Dear Lord, I love our walks together especially when I can see the crook of Your staff.  I know some do not understand but they will, there is way more that meets the eye when we study Your word.  Glow bright within me Lord, I seek to get all the stuff polished clean.  You are leading and I am following, give me strength to endure the journey.  Bless this day Father, give us the help that we need and never let us forget You are with us.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Matthew 7:22-23 6-27-2019

"Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?' Then I will declare to them solemnly, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you evildoers.'" ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:22-23‬

What is Jesus saying in these verses?  We can do the actions but do we know Him.  "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, [then] I will enter his house and dine with him, and he with me." Revelation‬ ‭3:20‬.  Jesus seeks a relationship with us, He is real, we can sit at the feet of Jesus and stare into His eyes.  We can open ourselves up to Him and let Him gaze upon us and give us direction.  Many years in my life, I thought I knew God.  I could very easily say, "Lord, Lord", but there was no relationship just actions.  We are all pilgrims on the journey being drawn into the heart of God.  Be real to Him and He will become real to you.

What is God saying to me: I am real and You know it, you cannot comprehend all that I am.  It is overwhelming to you the vastness of who I am, I only feed you in a few drops each day.

Dear Lord, I desire more but understand how powerful You are with just a drop.  My brain can not comprehend all that You are saying but I enjoy Your company and friendship.  I thank You for the mission and the patience to wait upon You, You know me and give direction when I need it.  Lord, help us to slow down and pondering what it is You are asking.  May we not say "Lord, Lord" and act without consulting You.  Your ways are always much better than our ways.  Bless this day Father and may I operate with joy in my heart.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Psalms 105:6-9 6-26-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"You descendants of Abraham his servant, offspring of Jacob the chosen one! He the LORD, is our God whose judgments reach through all the earth. He remembers forever his covenant, the word he commanded for a thousand generations, Which he made with Abraham, and swore to Isaac," Psalms‬ ‭105:6-9‬

Covenant relationship takes two participants, God is always present in His Covenant, am I?  We will face the mercy seat of judgement each of us.  Will our lives show our participation in the Covenant relationship?  Interesting question isn't it, it requires us to think about how we act and respond to God.  He is always present, maybe it is shame, guilt, fear, anxiety that pops up within us in an innocent conversation, is that us recognizing how we are operating outside our Covenant relationship.  God is giving us glimpses of areas that we need to address.  There are tremendous graces that come from the Sacrament of Confession.  We need to be reconciled with God in our lives, we need that cleansing, that purification of our souls to renew our strength.  Forgiveness requires effort and thought, deep thought.  You are the descendants of Abraham. (Listen to the Sond), He never gives up.

What is God saying to me: Correction is a purification process, it is a pruning that is painful, out of pain comes new growth.

Dear Father, I love how you operate and speak through others.  I ask that you continue to bless the small communities that are continuing to form.  Help us see that in sharing with each other we become more sensitive to Your promptings.  We become accountable to our side of the Covenant relationship with You.  Father, You are the quarterback not the other way around.  I am hear to serve You in what ever capacity You will allow this day.  Thank You for the searching and digging this morning, I enjoy the lesson and the fine tuning.  May I carry You into the day and not wander off only to return with my head hung low.  You are Mighty God and I, Your servant.  Amen.

Genesis 13:14-15 6-25-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"After Lot had parted from him, the LORD said to Abram: Look about you, and from where you are, gaze to the north and south, east and west; all the land that you see I will give to you and your descendants forever." Genesis‬ ‭13:14-15‬

Walking with God each day is a journey, Abram was being obedient to God and also discerning the voice of God in His life.  Does God speak to us?  It clearly gives proof in the Bible that He does.  Before Abram became Abraham, he had to be prepared for what laid ahead.  Abram humbled himself before God and accepted his fate upon the decision of someone else.  How many of us want to take control and choose right or left, are we willing to receive whatever the outcome is?  Do we see this outcome as God working in our lives if we are being humble and obedient to what He asks of us?

What is God saying to me: There is a purpose.

Dear Father, I am learning slowly and you know the challenge I am.  I am thankful this morning Father for the many people that go out of their way to reach others.  To not think of self but think of the well being of others.  Abram did this with Lot, he allowed Lot to choose.  Help me be as Abram was, willing to accept the outcome without having a choice.  Bless this day Father, Bless this morning and may we all accept whatever You provide for us, for it is all in Your hands anyway.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Isaiah 49:4-5 6-24-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Though I thought I had toiled in vain, for nothing and for naught spent my strength, Yet my right is with the LORD, my recompense is with my God. For now the LORD has spoken who formed me as his servant from the womb, That Jacob may be brought back to him and Israel gathered to him; I am honored in the sight of the LORD, and my God is now my strength!" ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭49:4-5‬

Do we honor God by obeying Him?  How many of us see ourselves as servants of God?  Surely God doesn't expect me to be His servant?  Was Jesus not your servant when He died on the cross for our sins.  God gives us freedom to choose our path but real happiness is found when we honor God by being obedient to Him, listening and following.  Zechariah learned the hard way that by not accepting what God tells him, he lost his voice for a period of time.  He only regained it when he became obedient: "He asked for a tablet and wrote, "John is his name," and all were amazed. Immediately his mouth was opened, his tongue freed, and he spoke blessing God." Luke‬ ‭1:63-64‬.  You may not believe these stories in the  bible are for you but they were written just for you.  They apply to our everyday lives.  Is God Your strength, if so then honor Him by being obedient to what He asks of you.

What is God saying to me: Will you be my servant today?

Dear Father, you know the answer is yes.  When I fall Father, help me get back up, help me see what I need to see to become the servant that You desire.  You are my strength God and I thank You for that gift of strength, even when I am weak, You are strong.  I pray for all those who have lost their voice, may they see the beauty of the scripture and how it is real for them.  You are amazing God and I am blessed to have the opportunity to sit with you each day.  I thank You for the day that lays ahead.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

John 6:51 6-23-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world."" John‬ ‭6:51‬

Have you ever contemplated the body and blood of Jesus and the gift of faith to receive Him?  We went to mass in one of the most beautiful churches we have ever been, it struggles to stay open and is surrounded by millions of people.  I can't express the profound sadness that one feels when knowing you have been given such a tremendous gift and so many are blinded by the world and are not aware of who is waiting for them.  Are we to make new traditions or follow what Jesus and St. Paul teaches?  If you can receive the body and blood of Jesus, it is an amazing gift, if you can't, you don't know what you are missing.

What is God saying to me:  My Body is the flesh and blood the world needs to live in comfort.

Dear Father, I pray for faith this morning, I pray for a world that is searching for happiness not realizing He is at their doorstep waiting for them.  I pray for those hurting and needing rest and He is right in front of them.  Father, I pray for more and more to be given the gift of faith, You are preparing them when is the right time?  Now.  Thank You Father for the joy in receiving You.  Amen.

Matthew 6:27 6-22-2019 www.dailythoughts.comw

"Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span?" ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:27‬

Why do we worry?  Maybe we did something we shouldn't have and are fearful of the consequences.  Remember it isn't punishment but discipline accept the corrective actions but no need to worry.

A better way to look at it is to trust in God for the outcome, He knows exactly what is needed.  Turn it all over to Him and stop worrying, worry will only make you sick, cause you anxiety and shows your lack of trust.  You are His child, He loves you like no tomorrow.  If You are His or one of your loved ones are His then all is good.  There is nothing that can harm you.  Life is so much better when we walk in faith, trusting God for all things.

What is God saying to me: My life is your life, My Son Jesus willing accepted all that came His way and did not worry about any of it.  He trusted in Me.

Dear Father, I am thankful this morning for all that You are doing.  I see a world being changed before our eyes and yet there are faithful children speaking truth.  Bless them Father with the love they desire.  I pray for the lost, they are blinded by the falsehoods that surround them.  Only by Your grace will they be able to see, open their eyes to the joys of a faithful journey.  Thank You Father for all the answered prayers this week, may our voices be in harmony when we sing to You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

2 Corinthians 11:30 6-21-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭11:30‬

Boasting is saying look at me, look at what I have done.  Paul looks at his life and knows none of it was his doing, it was all by the hand of God.  His strength is God, even in boasting in the things that show his weakness, he is pointing to where his strength comes from.  There is but one perfect One and He was made weak so we could be made strong.  We all fall short of the glory of God because of sin.  Pride and envy are two of the fruits of boasting and in the way Paul boast there is the fruit of humility.  A lesson we all can learn from.  Recognize your weaknesses and seek God.  A puffed out chest will soon be followed by a fall.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, I pray for a world lost in their sinfulness going about unaware of You.  I pray for my own weaknesses, help me be aware of things that cause You pain.  I thank You for the woman You gave me, I thank You for her joy and her quiet strength.  She is a blessing and knows my weaknesses, yet loves me anyway.  Prayers for a little girl experiencing severe migraines, may heaven be flooded for her pain to be removed.  Thank You Father for this day, for this week, for this life, I am nothing without You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Matthew 6:9ab 6-20-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

""This is how you are to pray: Our Father" Matthew‬ ‭6:9ab

The power of prayer! How many of us truly pray to God in all things.  How many of us take things, situations into our own hands and leave God outof it?  Prayer works!  I lived through a tornado protected by the hand of God because of prayer. My granddaughter and I prayed yesterday morning along with you and her kitten returned last night as she was saying her bedtime prayers. Prayer works in all situations, do not be fooled by the devil.  "Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God." Philippians 4:6. That is God's message today, take everything to prayer, let Him have it, stop worrying and have child like faith that He hears you and will respond.

What is God saying to me: "But if they do not listen, they pass to the grave, they perish for lack of knowledge." Job‬ ‭36:12‬

Dear Father, You know how my heart grieves this morning for various situations, I give them all to You.  I am sorry for my lack of knowledge and self control, You did warn me.  Prayers for a world lost in their ways, may they see first hand how calling out to You, Father, will bring resolution to many difficult situations.  I thank You Father for the continued house cleaning, continue to refresh my soul and help me see how my sins impact Your world.  Sanctify us each day Lord as You prepare us for Your Kingdom, convicts us Father of the trappings of the devil and strengthen our weakness.  Thank You Father for listening and responding, You are real!  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

2 Corinthians 9:8 6-19-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for every good work." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:8‬

Do we load up on God's graces?  Our faith is like that of a mustard seed, it takes time to nurture it and allow it to grow.  Those that are spending time each day are receiving an abundance of graces.  There are things that they are doing now that was not possible several years ago but God has grown that seed into a mighty tree.  Do not be fooled by the prosperity preachers, God wants seed grown for the harvest, money is no object for him.  Our souls is what need nourished, feed it God's Word each day, receive the graces that He pours out.  He prepares you for those chance encounters to sow the truth, then through His grace another seed is planted or strengthened for their mission.  Receive His graces with an open heart, God is a cheerful giver.

What is God saying to me: I am stretching you.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Dear Father, give me Child like faith to receive Your blessings.  Strengthen me for Your mission, for You know my purpose.  Thank You Father for chance encounters, it is through these that Your seed is grown.  Prayers for a little girl that lost her pet, I know it seems silly Father but we are to trust You with every thing.  Bless this day Father and thank You preparing me for the day.

2 Corinthians 8:829 6-18-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"I say this not by way of command, but to test the genuineness of your love by your concern for others. For you know the gracious act of our Lord Jesus Christ, that for your sake he became poor although he was rich, so that by his poverty you might become rich." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭8:8-9‬

What is the poverty of Christ?  A heart that does not love and a heart that is unaware of the love of Christ.  We have each been given many riches in the body of Christ, look around you and be blessed with what God provides.  Do you see how even in the garden of Eden we can be poor if we do not walk with God each day.  Do we see how our actions speak to our love for God or love for self.  Adam and Eve, were surrounded with all that they needed yet without God they were poor.  How many in this world have yet to experience true happiness with Christ.  How many wealthy people overcome with their riches are poor.  Slow down, see what God is doing, be a part of the solution, not the cause of the problem.

What is God saying to me: My heart aches for those that do not know Me, be My deliverer.

Dear Lord, I see a world aching and acting out of wickedness for their selfish ways.  Help me Father be strong when I want to act out, overcome my weakness with Your love.  Open our eyes to the pain that we inflict when we want to be right.  Your Son Jesus was wronged yet He willing accepted the cross.  Thank You Father for parents and grandparents that brought us up in truth showing us how to love.  Prayers for those who are lost and are blinded by their self righteousness, may I not be one of them through Your grace, Amen.

Matthew 5:39-41 6-17-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"But I say to you, offer no resistance to one who is evil. When someone strikes you on [your] right cheek, turn the other one to him as well. If anyone wants to go to law with you over your tunic, hand him your cloak as well. Should anyone press you into service for one mile, go with him for two miles." Matthew‬ ‭5:39-41‬

Don't we want to fight back? Not to fight back goes against my sinful nature.  When sin is in our lives we seek for ways to fight back, to push.  Jesus didn't fight back in any of His situations, He received everything that  came His way.  He lived the Divine life here on earth and we His followers seek this life.  I don't know about but I need all the help the Good Lord will give not to fight back.

What is God saying to me: I see what is going on, You must be still and not be concerned, I will provide.

Dear Lord, I can see how my sinful ways get in the way of our Divine life.  I ask for your help today to not push back, to not resist when feeling wronged. We live in a world that seeks a fight, help us see how our sin interferes not only in our lives but in the lives of others.  Thank You Father for this day, thank You Father for continuing to root out the sin that is in my life.  I love You Father and will continue to seek You and Your ways.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Revelation 1:8 6-16-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

""I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "the one who is and who was and who is to come, the almighty." Revelation‬ ‭1:8‬

Holy God, Mighty God, God Immortal in the Blessed Trinity.   In my Catholic Faith, we celebrate Trinity Sunday today, the incomprehensible Holy Spirit that operates in our lives.  They are the Almighty, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Do we truly understand and recognize who we consume either in the Eucharist or in the Word of God.  Are we allowing our Triune God to penetrate His creation and letting Him transform our lives.  The Divine Graces we receive go beyond anything we can comprehend yet we do receive them when we recognize who we consume, the Almighty.  Happy Trinity Sunday, He is alive and real, seeking a place to rest and give you comfort.

What is God saying to me: My Holy Spirit puts these thought in your conscious, you see the joy as I move within others transforming them into a mighty work.  My Holy Spirit moves amongst those that contemplate My words and My flesh and blood.

Dear Father, You are Almighty, You are the Alpha and the Omega.  Our life does not really begin until we recognize how truly powerful You are and even then we can only begin to comprehend the incomprehensible. Thank You Father for the kind souls You place in front of us to allow us to see the Holy Ghost at work.  Bless them Father as they receive You into their souls.  Thank You Holy Spirit for being with me in this life, continue to reveal Your mysteries and continue to make Your Presence known.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

2 Corinthians 5:20 6-15-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"So we are ambassadors for Christ, as if God were appealing through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God." 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:20‬

Do we take on the words of Paul in this age?  He is pointing to Christ and imploring the people of his time to turn to God, to recognize what they are doing is not of Christ and be reconciled to Him, to come back to what God has intended.  Did Paul realize that this words would span time and be effective today?  I assume not, for Paul was following his heart and responding to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

You are an ambassador for Christ, your actions speak louder than anything you say.  We are all called to be reconciled to God, that is why we were created, to worship and honor Him. Examine thy self and see what things you are doing that is leading you away from God, and fix it.

What is God saying to me: Be patient with yourself, I see your heart.

Dear Father, You know how I yearn for You and what challenges me, I thank You for purifying my heart, I thank You for the joy in seeing You at work.  I thank You for transforming a world to sing to You.  You are doing a lot and yet there is so much more to do.  Father, encourage others to become Your light and not hide it under a basket.  Encourage others to walk by faith and not by sight.  Prayers for many this morning as they are walking with You, whether they realize it or not, it is a beautiful song that brings joy to You, You see their heart.  Bless this day Father, keep us safe and thank You for another day.  In Jesus name, Amen.

2 Corinthians 3:17 6-13-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:17‬

Paul was locked up in jail yet he was still free, Jesus was being persecuted from every angle yet He was still free.  If we are truly free then outside influences will not impact our peace, this is where God wants to take us in our relationship.  We on the other hand must allow God to rummage through our interior closets and help us see how we allow outside influences to impact His peace.  Only God in the inside can transform us but we must be willing to become slaves to Him and give Him authority.  Freedom in Christ is a holy bondage but we must we willing to go there.

What is God saying to me: Peace is knowing thy self and honoring Me.

Dear Father, root out of me all the things that interfere with my freedom, make me a slave to You.  Rummage through and show me what it is that prevents Your love from shining through.  I am blessed to be on this journey and that I am listening.  It is true freedom that I seek and only You can make that happen.  Prayers for a friend who is unemployed, may You lead him where He is most needed.  Thank You for this day and I trust in Your direction, in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 99:7 6-12-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"From the pillar of cloud he spoke to them; they kept his decrees, the law he had given them." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭99:7‬

Do you have a Holy of Holies you go to for rest? To receive Divine graces?  The Israelites carried God with them in the Ark of the Covenant.  He spoke from the pillar of cloud, how do we do that today?  Some will say it is not possible but I tell you, God is with us.  When I need to get away and be strengthened, I go to an adoration chapel.  This quiet time with God allows Him to speak, our senses can become numb with all the noise. Not in there, the peace is amazing, the Divine Graces are a blessing and we don't fully comprehend how God is moving within us but we are being transformed when we go.  A relationship with God is two ways, if you are always talking how can you hear Him for He speaks, we just need to remain quiet and still.  Find your Holy of Holies.

What is God saying to me: My child, You come and worship in My Sanctuary, I am there, it is not a monotonous task but a time filled with graces that You can not comprehend even though you try.

Dear Father, I thank You for the sweet sound of stillness and Your Divine Graces that are free for the taking.  You open up a new world to us when we learn to be still and allow You to communicate with us in ways that we can not even perceive.  I thank You Father for the blessings of this day, I ask that you guide me, lead me and direct me to do Your will.  I am rested and prepared for another day.  Help me not be conformed to the world.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Matthew 5:13a 6-11-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

""You are the salt of the earth." Matthew‬ ‭5:13A

My wife makes the best mashed potatoes and coming from Ireland this is important.  You know her secret ingredient?  Salt. Without salt, the potatoes are bland and do not have much flavor, the salt enhances the potatoes, it can not be seen in a big pot of spuds but can surely be tasted.  In our relationships and interactions, we may never know the impact we have on others.  Do we challenge others to think or ponder a question.  With out other people in our lives we can be bland, never underestimate the power of salt, a little bit goes a long way.

What is God saying to me: You have loving memories of others being salt to you with simple acts of love, be the salt.

Dear Father, fond memories come to mind this morning as we pray, they were simpler times.  Help us see the simple actions of others and how their actions became part of who we are.  Help us see that love is the purest salt that softens hearts and changes who we are.  Help me share that love that has been shown me.  I pray for a friend who is a non-believer, may You break through to an intellectual thinker.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

John 19:26 6-10-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son."" ‭‭John‬ ‭19:26‬

The obedience of Mary, "His mother said to the servers, "Do whatever he tells you."" John‬ ‭2:5‬. Jesus's hour has arrived and so has Mary's.  Do we recognize the importance of Mary in our lives?  I know there are a lot that do not understand her role in the church and have been misinformed.  "I know that after my departure savage wolves will come among you, and they will not spare the flock." Acts‬ ‭20:29‬. Jesus's mission was not finished until
He handed us over to Mary and Mary to us.  Even after the torture He endured, He continues to feed His flock.  "After this, aware that everything was now finished"
‭‭John‬ ‭19:28‬a.  It was one of the last things that Jesus did before handing over His spirit.  Mary is not to be ignored or forgotten, God recognizes her role do you?

What is God saying to me: You have journeyed a long way, do not overthink it.

Dear Father, I thank You for the divine graces that we receive, I thank You for giving us Your Mother who worshipped, adored, cared for and nurtured Jesus.  Give us a healthy respect for what Your intentions are for her, help us recognize the truth and see through the lies we have been taught.  Mary was there in the beginning and will be there in the end, may we accept her as You intended.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us.

Psalms 104:30

"Send forth your spirit, they are created and you renew the face of the earth." Psalms‬ ‭104:30‬

We live in an instant world that expects instant results, is the Holy Spirit instant? Jesus spent three years preparing the Apostles before they received the Holy Spirit.  The apostles waited upon the Holy Spirit and spent a life time perfecting the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  The movements of the Holy Spirit are subtle, we do not always perceive the changes but if we are being obedient to His will, they are happening.  I believe we expect dramatic results and though they are dramatic, it takes time for them to take root and we don't always recognize them.  Nothing happens in our lives until we take time and sit in the stillness of the day and be in His presence, this is giving the Holy Spirit the opportunity to move within us.  He begins to renew our world and we are allowing Him the opportunity to transform it.  You should try it, it is exhilarating!

What is God saying to me: it takes conscious effort to hear My voice, you must be still and focus, even with all the noise that surrounds you, I am there.

Dear Triune God, You have moved mountains in my life and continue to do so, I thank You for revealing the Advocate to me and for the grace to seek You out each day.  I pray for a world in need of the stillness drowning in noise.  Send forth Your Holy Spirit and renew the minds and hearts of Your people.  Thank You Father for this past several days, they have been joyful and filled with happy moments.  May the Holy Spirit make His presence known in the life's of the faithful.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit, pray for us.

Peace be with you!

Happy Pentecost!

We hope that this novena has been a sanctifying experience for you that has helped you to call on the Holy Spirit more.

Now please join us for our final prayer -- the prayer we say at the end of every novena. :)

Here are the prayers for today: Final Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, I have specific requests that may only partially fill the infinite needs and desires that are in my heart. I ask that You answer me not only for those requests but also for a greater reliance on You to satisfy the needs and desires that You have given me.

Please grant the prayers of all those who prayed this novena with me. Bless them with Your love and make them holy!

May I seek You with a sincere heart knowing that it will profit me nothing if I gain the whole world yet lose my soul.

So, help me to see Your good and gracious purpose in all my trials. Help me to see Your blessings in every day and help me to love You more.

Thank You for everything, Lord Jesus!

Amen.

John 21:22 6-8-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Jesus said to him, "What if I want him to remain until I come? What concern is it of yours? You follow me."" ‭‭John‬ ‭21:22‬

Isn't that human nature to be concerned with the actions of others, to pass judgement based upon our viewpoint.  Jesus sees the whole picture and we don't.  We want to judge but Jesus corrects by asking a question, "what concern is it of yours?"  Can you sit back and just observe without passing judgement?  God sees all, even our own flaws.  Try observing from God's perspective, He loves His creation and does not condemn.   The challenge we have is to overcome our humanity, lay down our lives and follow Him.  Until Jesus comes into our lives, we do not see what we are doing because the scales are still on our lives.  Let Jesus come and get out of the way.

What is God saying to me? Remain in peace as I work.

Dear Lord God, we are called to worship You with our lives, at times, I get in the way.  Forgive me for my trespass's as I forgive those who trespassed against me.  Thank You for the guidance and the understanding to think before responding, to allow time and insight form my decision.  Thank You for a great day enjoying family and living in the moment being at peace.  Prayers for those who are ate up with the actions of others, may they see from Your vantage point.  Thank You Father for another day.  Amen.

Mary, Seat of Wisdom, pray for us.

Goodness

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let us bow down in humility at the power and grandeur of the Holy Spirit. Let us worship the Holy Trinity and give glory today to the Paraclete, our Advocate.

Oh Holy Spirit, by Your power, Christ was raised from the dead to save us all. By Your grace, miracles are performed in Jesus' name. By Your love, we are protected from evil. And so, we ask with humility and a beggar's heart for Goodness within us.

We want to be like your Saints in heaven. Holy Spirit, renew us by your power with your Goodness that we may bring the Good News to the world.

Amen.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, through Christ Our Lord,

John 21:17ab 6-7-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, "Do you love me?" John‬ ‭21:17‬ab

Do you love me?  Jesus forces Peter to the point that he becomes distressed.  God wants to be in our conscious thoughts, he wants for us to recognize our love for Him.  God's love for us is conscious, He knows you by name, He knows ever hair on your head, He knows you.  You are loved by the Father, even in our weaknesses.  Like Peter, can you respond yes to God each time He asks?  God forces us to think about our love for Him.  Love isn't just a feeling, it is actions, it is giving of self no matter the circumstances.

What is God saying to me: You are loved for I told You so, do you love Me with all your heart?

Dear Father, like Peter, You know the answer, I love Your message this morning, You find ways to be conscious to me.  I love You, I have much to learn but You are the teacher and I am the student.  Father, speak to the souls that doubt Your existence, help them see that love takes time on their part but You love them and know them through and through.  Bless this day Father, words can not express my love for You.  To God be the Glory, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Day 8 of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

Peace be with you!

Today we are going to pray for self-control. All of us could use more of it in our daily lives in one way or another.

Here are the prayers for today:

Your prayer intentions

Self-Control

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let us bow down in humility at the power and grandeur of the Holy Spirit. Let us worship the Holy Trinity and give glory today to the Paraclete, our Advocate.

Oh Holy Spirit, by Your power, Christ was raised from the dead to save us all. By Your grace, miracles are performed in Jesus' name. By Your love, we are protected from evil. And so, we ask with humility and a beggar's heart for Your gift of Self-Control within us.

Your Martyrs had the overwhelming self-control to go joyfully to a painful death without shrinking from the opportunity to join You in heaven. Give us this self-control to have command over our emotions and desires that we may serve You more fully.

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

John 17:26 6-6-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"I made known to them your name and I will make it known, that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in them."" ‭‭John‬ ‭17:26‬

Is that your mission as well, to make known the Triune God?  Jesus conveys a message in His prayer to the Father.  Do we think as Jesus does or do we think as (your name) does?  "I in them and you in me, that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me." ‭‭John‬ ‭17:23‬  God challenges us to think as He does and become one, truth is truth!  My truth isn't truth but His truth is.  If we can contemplate from the perspective of Jesus, our view point will change.  His Word is truth, He tells us He is in us, "I in them."  Our desire is to know the truth, put it to the test, would Jesus call it truth.

What is God saying to me: I am the way, the truth and the life.

Dear Father, the world deceives us to what truth is, guide us to Truth, reveal the mysteries that You have planted within us.  You are in us, challenge our thinking, may we see it from Jesus's perspective and may truth be revealed to us.  I love You Father, continue putting the jigsaw pieces together, the picture is becoming brighter.  I love Your love and Your Holy Family.  I pray for those misguided by ravenous wolfs who walk amongst us, teaching their version of truth, may I never fall into this trap.  I trust in You and You are in me. Amen.

Mary, Mystical Rose, pray for us.
