Loving Jesus, what is loving Jesus? I love my wife, I love my children, I love my grandchildren and they love me. I can see them, I can hug them, I can carry a conversation with them. How I love Jesus. I lived a very long time without knowing Jesus, He was loving me but I didn't give Him much thought. Today, I love Jesus, we communicate, not in the way I do with my family but we talk. I give Him time each day and throughout the day, I am conscious of my actions and His presence. I love Jesus just like I love my loved ones. It is a mutual love and I trust in Him with all my heart just like how my grandchildren trust in me. It is a unquestionably love. Loving Jesus is a relationship. "The LORD will establish you as a holy people, as he swore to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD, your God, and walk in his ways." Deuteronomy 28:9 Walk with Christ and grow in His love.
What is God saying to me: You believe, you didn't always believe but today you understand what loving Jesus is. My son, listen to your heart and recognize My love for you.
Dear Father, You amazes me with Your love and Your strength. I am honored to be Your son. I thank You for the tutelage of the Holy Spirit, there is no better teacher in growing in faith. My spirit rejoices in loving You this morning. I pray for a friend that has yet to love you, soften his heart that he may come to believe. Bless this day Father and be ever on my mind. In Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.
Each day of this novena, we will pray for one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
The fruits of the Spirit are, "perfections that the Holy Spirit forms in us as the first fruits of eternal glory." (Catechism of the Catholic Church)
Today's prayers are for Joy.
Joy is one of those signs that shows the world that there is something different about followers of Christ. So, let us pray today for a greater Joy that will shine through to the rest of the world!
Your prayer intentions.
Joy
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Let us bow down in humility at the power and grandeur of the Holy Spirit. Let us worship the Holy Trinity and give glory today to the Paraclete, our Advocate.
Oh Holy Spirit, by Your power, Christ was raised from the dead to save us all. By Your grace, miracles are performed in Jesus' name. By Your love, we are protected from evil. And so, we ask with humility and a beggar's heart for Your gift of Joy within us.
All of the Saints are marked with an uncompromisable Joy in times of trial, difficulty and pain. Give us, Oh Holy Spirit, the Joy that surpasses all understanding that we may live as a witness to Your love and fidelity!
Amen.
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.
O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, through Christ Our Lord,
Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
