2 Corinthians 11:30 6-21-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭11:30‬

Boasting is saying look at me, look at what I have done.  Paul looks at his life and knows none of it was his doing, it was all by the hand of God.  His strength is God, even in boasting in the things that show his weakness, he is pointing to where his strength comes from.  There is but one perfect One and He was made weak so we could be made strong.  We all fall short of the glory of God because of sin.  Pride and envy are two of the fruits of boasting and in the way Paul boast there is the fruit of humility.  A lesson we all can learn from.  Recognize your weaknesses and seek God.  A puffed out chest will soon be followed by a fall.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, I pray for a world lost in their sinfulness going about unaware of You.  I pray for my own weaknesses, help me be aware of things that cause You pain.  I thank You for the woman You gave me, I thank You for her joy and her quiet strength.  She is a blessing and knows my weaknesses, yet loves me anyway.  Prayers for a little girl experiencing severe migraines, may heaven be flooded for her pain to be removed.  Thank You Father for this day, for this week, for this life, I am nothing without You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.
