2 Corinthians 8:829 6-18-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"I say this not by way of command, but to test the genuineness of your love by your concern for others. For you know the gracious act of our Lord Jesus Christ, that for your sake he became poor although he was rich, so that by his poverty you might become rich." ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭8:8-9‬

What is the poverty of Christ?  A heart that does not love and a heart that is unaware of the love of Christ.  We have each been given many riches in the body of Christ, look around you and be blessed with what God provides.  Do you see how even in the garden of Eden we can be poor if we do not walk with God each day.  Do we see how our actions speak to our love for God or love for self.  Adam and Eve, were surrounded with all that they needed yet without God they were poor.  How many in this world have yet to experience true happiness with Christ.  How many wealthy people overcome with their riches are poor.  Slow down, see what God is doing, be a part of the solution, not the cause of the problem.

What is God saying to me: My heart aches for those that do not know Me, be My deliverer.

Dear Lord, I see a world aching and acting out of wickedness for their selfish ways.  Help me Father be strong when I want to act out, overcome my weakness with Your love.  Open our eyes to the pain that we inflict when we want to be right.  Your Son Jesus was wronged yet He willing accepted the cross.  Thank You Father for parents and grandparents that brought us up in truth showing us how to love.  Prayers for those who are lost and are blinded by their self righteousness, may I not be one of them through Your grace, Amen.

Mary, Seat of Wisdom, pray for us.
