Numbers Chapter 25, 11-30-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"While Israel was living at Shittim, the people profaned themselves by prostituting themselves with the Moabite women. These then invited the people to the sacrifices of their god, and the people ate of the sacrifices and bowed down to their god." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭25:1-2‬

The lure of sin, you can see how when we give in to our temptations it invites other gods into our life's.  "You shall not bow down to any other god, for the LORD —"Jealous" his name—is a jealous God. Do not make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land; else, when they prostitute themselves with their gods and sacrifice to them, one of them may invite you and you may partake of the sacrifice."  Exodus‬ ‭34:14-15‬.  The trickery continues in this day and age, we must always have our guard up, always be prepared.  "He said to him, "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:37‬.  Living your faith is a 24/7 life, around the corner a trap awaits but with eyes focused on God, He will protect you but you must listen and obey.

What is God saying to me: fight the good fight, endure till the race is finished, I am with you.

Dear Father, You see what lies in wait for us, You warm us of its trappings and You allow us to choose.  May our eyes stay focused on You, May our love for You increase, may we resist the trappings and not be swayed from loving You.  Prayers for a friend in a battle Lord, give Him insight to the right path forward, You are the answer to all our prayers.  Bless this day and bless Your people with Your joy.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

One week away, invite a friend, bring your father.  Share this event with others, we please, you never know how God will impact lives with such a simple gesture.

Numbers Chapter 24, 11-29-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"How pleasant are your tents, Jacob; your encampments, Israel! Like palm trees spread out, like gardens beside a river, Like aloes the LORD planted, like cedars beside water; ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭24:5-6‬

Like cedars planted beside water, they always have a source of refreshment, they receive all the nutrients and resources necessary to grow tall and strong.  This morning I picture an army planted besides the living water of God.  Their thirst being quenched by His word, there is a strength in knowing God, Loving God and serving God.  God calls us to this water, He shows us where true power and strength comes from, the wind may blow, the waters may rise but you are firmly grounded with the knowledge that God has got you.  This is a peace that passes all understanding, praise God for He is mighty God, nothing can stop Him.

What is God saying to me: ask and you shall receive, you are my witnesses.

Dear Father God, Thank You this morning for the mighty waters of Your glory to shine thru.  It quenches the soul, gives one hope and gives blessed assurance that all is well.   Thank You for celebrations with family and friends, thank you for the understanding that we are to ask, we are to plant the seeds and You will shine thru.  Give us courage this coming week to reach out and invite others to drink of Your living water.  Bless this day Father, bless this morning's men's prayer meeting and bless next Saturday December 7th.  Prayers for a friend facing Insurmountable odds, give them peace that all will be well You are Mighty God and we are loved by You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Numbers Chapter 23, 11-28-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"How can I lay a curse on the one whom God has not cursed? How denounce the one whom the LORD has not denounced? For from the top of the crags I see him, from the heights I behold him. Here is a people that lives apart and does not reckon itself among the nations.

Misfortune I do not see in Jacob, nor do I see misery in Israel. The LORD, their God, is with them; among them is the war-cry of their King." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭23:8-9, 21‬

Happy Thanksgiving, There is a lot to be thankful for today and the greatest of these thanksgivings is the love of God and the love for God.  Take inventory of your blessings, you are blessed to be living where you are living.  You are blessed! Knowing and loving God gives you strength in all things.  The Israelites did not have it easy but they always have God, God is with them.  God is with you.  The strength of God within is Your war cry, it is this knowledge that God has it all under control.  That is what I am thankful for today, it is in knowing and loving God.  It is in knowing that no matter what comes, God is greater.  Happy Thanksgiving, be blessed today with the love of Christ.

What is God saying to me: I love you, my child.  Life is not without its challenges but peace is found in loving Me.

Dear Father God, there is joy in my heart, there is strength in my conviction, there is peace in my thoughts, You are Mighty God.  Father, words can not describe what I want to say but You understand that.  Thank You for this day, thank You for loving me just as I am and thank You for leading the way.  Thank You for the food that we will eat, for the memories that we will make, thank You for all that You are doing.  Prayers for friends missing loved ones may their thoughts be filled with happy memories, with laughter and pictures of smiles.  You are loving God and we are truly blessed to be living during this time.  Thank You Father, Amen.

Numbers Chapter 22, 11-27-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Balaam answered Balak, "Well, I have come to you after all. But what power have I to say anything? I can speak only what God puts in my mouth."" ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭22:38‬

Obeying what God asks us to do, we are His witnesses on earth.  Can we go against the will of God?  Not if we are in relationship with Him, if we are listening to Him and consulting Him for direction.  We will be spending time with family over the next several days, your words may they be only what God puts in your mouth.  Our words have power of life or death, God only seeks life.  He draws others to Him by these words, sometimes we may have to bite our tongue, listen for what Jesus would do and respond with love.  Living our faith isn't a part time thing it is all the time.  Listen to Him before you speak, both you and He will be better for it.  Safe travels on your journey and time spent with loved ones.

What is God saying to me: just wait and see, My words have power and they will produce ever lasting life.

Dear Father, I am walking the path that You have asked to the best of my abilities, at times a little shaky but I know this is what You are asking.  I see what You are doing in our world, may we each recognize your call for us.  May our lives be directed by daily prayer, may we learn to forgive others, may our hearts be softened from some of the hardships that some have endured.  Father, You are my Master, send Your angels to clear the path, to watch over us and to slay the enemy that lies in wait for us.  You are Mighty God and I love You with all my heart, this world needs more of You.  Thank You Father for what awaits, I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of All Souls, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 21, 11-26-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"So the LORD sent among the people seraph serpents, which bit the people so that many of the Israelites died. Then the people came to Moses and said, "We have sinned in complaining against the LORD and you. Pray to the LORD to take the serpents from us." So Moses prayed for the people, and the LORD said to Moses: Make a seraph and mount it on a pole, and everyone who has been bitten will look at it and recover." Numbers‬ ‭21:6-8‬

Israel begins to mature, they begin to see a cause and effect of their ways and seek repentance.   You can see God at work in the nation of Israel as they journey, God allows them to mature.  I believe we each travel much like Israel in our lives, I also believe there is a turning point when you realize that there is a power greater than you at work.  It is when we repent, ask forgiveness and witness the power of God at work do we join the army of Israel.  Each day coming to the foot of the cross, looking up and knowing He is greater than all your problems, this is true power.  When that day comes for you, you have been blessed by grace, you have begun to mature and there is rejoicing in Heaven.

What is God saying to me: the fight is Mine, you are to surrender but only when you are ready.  I do not force My will upon anyone nor should you.

Dear Lord, I love our walks in the morning, I love Your gentle nature as You unravel the picture.  WOW can be an emotion when we are in tune.  Father You know my thoughts and my ways and You are journeying with me allowing me to stumble and fall, allowing me to get back up and go again.  You are teaching me the depth of Your nature in Your word and letting it play out in front of me each day, it is a great journey and I am so thankful.  I pray for a friend blindly moving, may he find where true happiness comes from until then each road will be a dead end and pointing right back to You.  Lead the way Lord, You have this day and You are fighting my battles, not me.  Thank You Jesus! Amen.

Numbers Chapter 20, 11-25-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"So Moses took the rod from before the LORD, just as He had commanded him; and Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly before the rock. And he said to them, "Listen now, you rebels; shall we bring forth water for you out of this rock?" Then Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came forth abundantly, and the congregation and their beasts drank. But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Because you have not believed Me, to treat Me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them."" Numbers‬ ‭20:9-12‬

Moses and Aaron had no easy task, every time they turned around the Israelites were rebelling.  Yet God was still leading, guiding them and providing for them.  God is clear in His direction, "speak to the rock before their eyes, that it may yield its water." Numbers‬ ‭20:8‬c.  In our frustration with a situation we must control our own reactions, God's intentions are for His words to bring forth the results not our actions.  "Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him."
‭‭Mark‬ ‭11:23‬.  "Then he said to me: "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, and not by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts." Zechariah‬ ‭4:6‬.  There is power in the spoken word.

What is God saying to me: Do not doubt

Dear Father, I am at a loss of words this morning for some reason but it is ok as I trust in You.  I pray for this day and it's outcome, I pray for the journey that a friend has begun may he find peace and answers in his new endeavors.  May I remember to do exactly as you say and not add anything to it, we are all Your children seeking our way home.  Bless this day and all it has to offer, in Jesus name, Amen.

Numbers Chapter 19, 11-24-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron:

Then somebody who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and deposit them in a clean place outside the camp. There they are to be kept to prepare purification water for the Israelite community. This is a purification offering." Numbers‬ ‭19:1, 9‬

Simple gestures with deeper meaning.  When I was I child we were taught as we went into Church we were to bless ourselves with the holy water, the same as when we would leave.  The Israelites prepared the holy water to purify themselves when they became unclean.  Holy water is used to purify ourselves when we come into the presence of God, it is what God asks us to do.  It may seam like a simple gesture but we are being purified when we bless ourselves, we are being cleansed from all that the world tries to put on us.  In Chapter 19, there is also a section that talks about those who are not blessed with holy water.   Everything has meaning, they are not simple gestures with no effect, ponder this the next time you enter church and bless yourself with the holy water.   God said and it was so.

What is God saying to me: My Son is the red heifer, it is His offering of life that saves you. It is His blood that once sprinkled upon you sanctifies you.  Live My gospels.

Dear Lord, a new day dawns, a day to worship You and come into Your presence in the holy of holies.  I thank You for giving us Your word for having it written down so we can read it and contemplate its meaning.  I thank You for the simple gestures that sometimes are done without thinking but have such a rich tradition.  You are the Great Healer who is leading us into eternity, help us realize our time here is short, really short compared to forever.  Watch over us and purify us as we follow Your words.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Full of Grace, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 18, 11-23-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"I also assign to you all the best of the new oil and of the new wine and grain that they give to the LORD as their first produce that has been processed." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭18:12‬

God gives the best from the tithe to the house of Levi, they even give a tithe from a tithe back to God.  Do we give God our best?  It made me thing this morning of my own offering and what God gives back.  He without a doubt gives the best back, Himself in the manna from Heaven.  What we are given here on earth is all given by God, our talents, our abilities, our riches are all gifts from God.  What do we give in return from all that He gives us?  Do we give Him the best part of our day? The beginning!  Do we give Him our tithe or do we hold out on Him.  God never holds out, He gives us His best - His Son.

What is God saying to me:  I am with you and in You.  You see the greatest gift I give, you see the Divinity with eyes of faith.  It is what gives spiritual strength for the journey.

Dear Father, it is a beautiful morning to be sitting at Your feet.  It is good quality time that we spend together and You are always present.  Thank You Father for always giving the best of Yourself to us, may I not forget this when called upon.  Thank You Father for hearts that are changing, who are seeing Your beauty in the simple things of life.  Thank You Holy Spirit for making your presence known to all that are listening.  Prayers for all those who are feeling despair may they know that they are loved by You.  You are the best gift anyone can receive, may we be thankful for this gift and all the gifts You give.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Numbers Chapter 17, 11-22-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The LORD said to Moses: Tell Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, to remove the censers from the embers; and scatter the fire some distance away, for they have become holy— the censers of those who sinned at the cost of their lives. Have them hammered into plates to cover the altar, because in being presented before the LORD they have become holy. In this way they shall serve as a sign to the Israelites." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭17:1-3‬

Reading scripture each day in a deliberate way reveals the awesome power of God, come Holy Spirit.  We all face trials, tribulations, temptations, joys, success, these all play a role in purifying us.  The trials and tribulations are not easy, they make us ponder our path/course in life.  Do we bring them to God, are we willing to bring them to Him, are we willing to stand before Him.  We do not get into Heaven until we have been purified.  Count all things as blessings, understanding that we each need a healthy fear of God, for in a blink of an eye it can all change.  Maybe you are angry with God, God is just trying to get your attention, it worked didn't it.  Now knowing He is mighty God, realize you are being made holy in all situations.  In our searching, happiness/joy is only found with a healthy respect of God.  All the other things are fleeting but not God, He will stand with you, He LOVES YOU!

What is God saying to me: You are ready, I am always present.

Dear Father, there is joy in my heart this morning, I just want to sing Hallelujah with my life.  The situations can be a challenge, but it forces us to stay in check with You, if we have a healthy fear.  You are Mighty God, You are powerful God, You are loving God.  Bless this day Lord, Bless all those who are seeking to find You.  Father, You are doing mighty works in our midst, a little each day, keep hammering away, I want to be in Your presence.  Thank You for all that are you doing even the purifying bits, may we not fall victim to the temptations, You are greater!  In the name above all names, Jesus Christ, Hallelujah and amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 16, 11-21-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Holding an assembly against Moses and Aaron, they said, "You go too far! The whole community, all of them, are holy; the LORD is in their midst. Why then should you set yourselves over the LORD's assembly?" When Moses heard this, he fell prostrate. Then he said to Korah and to all his faction, "May the LORD make known tomorrow morning who belongs to him and who is the holy one and whom he will have draw near to him! The one whom he chooses, he will have draw near to him." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭16:3-5‬

How quickly we forget the saving power of God.  You read about a group of men who, on their own, confront Moses, they challenge his authority.   You can see pride, ego, jealousy, arrogance trying to get in the way of God's plan.  I love Moses response, he doesn't argue with them, he humbles himself and turns to God.  Moses recognizes who the fight is against, he doesn't rely upon his own resources but seeks God for his strength.  Learning to humble ourselves and turn to God will relieve a lot of stress in our lives.  We can not change God's plans, He will do what He intends, it is much better to be in communion with Him then oppose Him.    Koran and his factions, stood in opposition to God, they allowed the evil one to get in the way, their way was not of God.  There is a reason it is a faith walk.

What is God saying to me: The fight is mine, turn to me

Dear Father, You know the faith walk we each make each day, You see the opposition that we face and how we respond.  May I be like Moses, humble myself and give the opposition to You.  You will lead us and guide us to respond in the right way that glorifies You.  May I recognize my own justification, my own desires and my faults and give them to You.  Help me not forget Your mighty power that rescued a sinner and opened up a new life that brings joy into my heart.  Prayers for a friend that is feeling lonely, help them see the joy of being loved by You.  You are Mighty God and we love You, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Faith, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 15, 11-20-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"While the Israelites were in the wilderness, a man was discovered gathering wood on the sabbath day.

Then the LORD said to Moses: This man shall be put to death; let the whole community stone him outside the camp."
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭15:32, 35‬

Seems intense for picking up sticks but it is a sin, working on the sabbath.  How does this apply today?  Will we be put to death for working on the sabbath?  The man in the wilderness thought he was safe in doing what he was doing but he was discovered, nothing is hidden from God. "For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night."
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:2‬ ‭ We do not know when He is coming and then He is there.  God judges quickly, will we have time to repent or will it be too late.  It was too late for this man.  God message for each of us is: "Do you not know that if you present yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, although you were once slaves of sin, you have become obedient from the heart to the pattern of teaching to which you were entrusted." Romans‬ ‭6:16-17‬ ‭"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:23‬.  The choice is yours life or death.

What is God saying to me: I know your heart, trust in Me and obey My Commandments.

Dear Father, we live in a wicked world that passes judgement harshly, You know Your children.  Continue to sanctify each of us, continue to strengthen us to do Your will and not our will.  Thank You for the lesson this morning, for the words that come.  Help me recognize the areas of my life that we are not in step and help me correct that.  You are a good, good Father, leading Your sons and daughters home, be ever on our mind.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 14, 11-19-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The LORD answered: I pardon them as you have asked. Yet, by my life and the LORD's glory that fills the whole earth, of all the people who have seen my glory and the signs I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and who nevertheless have put me to the test ten times already and have not obeyed me, not one shall see the land which I promised on oath to their ancestors. None of those who have spurned me shall see it. But as for my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and follows me unreservedly, I will bring him into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall possess it." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭14:20-24‬

Moses sent twelve to scout out the promised land, two came back and spoke highly of it, 10 came back and spread fear.  The Ten turned a whole community to the point Moses had to beg mercy for them.  Eyes of faith allow us to see beyond today, it gives us hope and drowns out the nay sayer.  See the miracles in your life for what they are, miracles.  Do not let fear and doubt creep in, it will take a foothold and then there is a lot of wandering to do and I mean a lot.  Our hope is not on men but on God.  Caleb listened, he heeded and he also received the glory of God.  Look up, follow Him and be saved.

What is God saying to me: Do you see what I am doing?  I am the way, the truth, the life that brings true happiness.

Dear Father, I see Your glory, I see the promised land.  There is peace when we place our trust in You, Father.  I thank You Father for Your strength that is showing thru in others.  I thank You for the vision that You are bringing into reality.  I thank You Father for Your glory to shine brighter in this world. You are doing mighty works in our midst and it is bringing peace into Your land.  I pray for the president today, I pray for all the people who are being influenced by the falsehoods being spread, help them see it leads to a lot of wandering.  Prayers for friends undergoing operations today, You are with them and all is well.  In Your most holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 13, 11-18-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"They told Moses: "We came to the land to which you sent us. It does indeed flow with milk and honey, and here is its fruit. However, the people who are living in the land are powerful, and the towns are fortified and very large. Besides, we saw descendants of the Anakim there." Numbers‬ ‭13:27-28‬

Love conquers all.  How many of us listen to discouraging words and allow fear to creep in.  It can't be done, you are not worthy, that's not possible.  The world always stands in opposition to God and His plans.  Caleb, was not deterred in taking the promised land, God was real in his life.  When God gives you a vision, a hope, a dream be prepared to be told no but also be prepared to allow God to go to work.  The odds may seem huge but there ain't nothing bigger than God.  Do not let fear stop you if God is telling you to move.

What is God saying to me: perfect loves requires no fear.  I am at work in your life and you are seeing Me in action.  Perfect love is humble of heart.

Dear Father, it is good that we are here.  I am learning to trust You in all things, it is through Your word that You are revealing yourself and how You are operating in my life.  Keep my focus on You Father when the storms blow, You are greater in my life.  Prayers for this coming week and what is has to offer.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 11, 11-16-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Say to the people, 'Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat; for you have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, "Oh that someone would give us meat to eat! For we were well-off in Egypt." Therefore the LORD will give you meat and you shall eat.  Numbers 11:18

You can read Numbers Chapter 11 and John Chapter 6 and draw many parallels between them.  They both contain those that grumble, they both speak of Him, the Prophet and they both show the unlimited power of God.  The LORD said to Moses, "Is the LORD'S power limited? Now you shall see whether My word will come true for you or not." Numbers 11:23.  God feeds us through His word and we decide to receive it or not.  Will we accept what He gives.  "Then the Jews began to argue with one another, saying, "How can this man give us His flesh to eat?" So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves." John‬ ‭6:52-53‬.  Moses had a hard time believing that God could feed over 600,000 men meat in the desert yet he did.  Today many have a hard time believing Jesus gives us His flesh and blood during the consecration of the bread and wine yet He does.  We are all called to speak His truth in various ways, be bold in your calling.   But Moses said to him, "Are you jealous for my sake? Would that all the LORD'S people were prophets, that the LORD would put His Spirit upon them!"" Numbers‬ ‭11:29.  How different our world will be when this is reality.

What is God saying to me: There are many distractions in this world that works at separating us, as long as you turn to me, You will find peace and be at rest.

Dear Father, You know my heart and You know what gives it peace.  In all the situations I give You authority to operate within my life and those that I love.  May we see the beauty in the simplest of things.  Prayers for a young mother facing life, give her a miracle Lord for Your power is unlimited and You are the Great Healer.  Bless this day and bless Your people.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen Mother, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 10, 11-15-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Whenever the ark set out, Moses would say, "Arise, O LORD, may your enemies be scattered, and may those who hate you flee before you." And when it came to rest, he would say, "Bring back, O LORD, the myriads of Israel's troops!"" ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭10:35-36‬

Can you imagine the awesome power of God being in your presence?  You would see the cloud indicate it was time to move, everything would be packed up and the ark would move.  The life of the Israelites revolved around the ark of the Covenant, it became central to where they went and where they stayed.  There is reassurance in knowing, truly knowing that you are being guided by God.   I believe we can have this today and it begins each day when the trumpet sounds to get up and be in His presence.  We are sent into the day battle ready with blessed assurance.  At night we return knowing that there is a power, God, greater than ourselves.  God calls each of us to the temple, He calls us to allow our life to revolve around Him in prayer and in action.  How would you feel seeing the Israelites coming, seeing the awesome power of God and you were looking from the outside.  The trumpet is sounding, heed the call.

What is God saying to me: I go with you today, I am leading the way, there is nothing to fear.

Dear Father, a life that revolves around You is a life that is peaceful.  It is not without its challenges but there is a comfort in knowing you are not alone.  I pray for willing hearts to hear the call of Your trumpet to come and be guided by Your Holy Spirit.  Prayers for friends today who are dealing with cancer, may they recognize the peace of Christ in their lives and be at ease.  The ark of the covenant will lead them if they will allow it, they will find rest.  I trust in You, Jesus, You are the source of all Joy, watch over this day. Amen.

"Moses answered them, "Wait so that I can learn what the LORD will command in your regard."" Numbers‬ ‭9:8‬

Do we give God charge of our life?  Moses does not make a decision without taking direction from God.  Earlier in his life he would just react causing himself hardships(when he killed the Egyptian).  He has learned where real strength comes from.  Chapter 9 speaks about letting God direct our path and seeking His input.  How much different would our lives be if we waited and consulted God.  "And Jesus raised his eyes and said, "Father, I thank you for hearing me. I know that you always hear me;"" ‭‭John‬ ‭11:41b-42‬a.  Reaching out to God, knowing He hears you and then listening for direction.  Over time it becomes a sense that you have, you pay attention to what God gives and you learn to trust His direction.

What is God saying to me: they are smoke signals, little intuitions that you follow, I affirm them in various ways, you are on the right path.   Not everyone waits to seek my input, they will learn.

Dear Father, I know You hear me and I hear you but not in a human sense, it is in more of a spiritual sense.  Why that is, I do not know but I will trust You until You change that, if you ever will while here, I doubt.  Help us wait upon You, help us recognize the signals to move, to go, to stay, to respond.  Give our inner ear strength to hear.  Prayers for a friend that hasn't had it easy growing up but has learned to trust You, bless Him Father with Your will for his life.  Watch over us this day, take charge of us and may we turn to You for Your direction, I ask this in Jesus name.

Numbers Chapter 8, 11-13-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"For they, among the Israelites, are totally dedicated to me; I have taken them for myself in place of everyone that opens the womb, the firstborn of all the Israelites." Numbers‬ ‭8:16‬

Repetition, do you notice God repeating Himself in scripture, why is that?  Why do we repeat ourselves, we want those listening to hear what we are saying, it is important.  "For all the firstborn are Mine; on the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified to Myself all the firstborn in Israel, from man to beast. They shall be Mine; I am the LORD."" ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭3:13‬.  Was Jesus a Levite?  He was the firstborn and only born child of Mary.  Mary, the cousin of Elizabeth, the wife of Zechariah, a Levitical priest.  He was also the son of Joesph from the tribe of Judah.  Our best learning comes from repetition, God delivers the message many times in different ways knowing that we will understand the importance.  Allow God to excite your thinking through His word.

What is God saying to me:  do you remember your times table, over and over again, it is deeply ingrained in your thinking making math easy.  I likewise give lessons by repeating and overtime a new door opens up, the tapestry begins to emerge, continue learning a little each day.

Dear Lord, I love how you fire my brain to thinking by putting questions that I need to search for the answers.  There is depth to what you teach, the Holy Spirit, our head master, gives the lesson and we the student must be attentive.  I thank You for the lesson today, for the love that you give.  I pray for a family burying their father and grandfather today, he is a good man that has done well raising his kids, bless them with happy memories, with the knowledge of knowing they are loved.  Bless my mother celebrating another year of life, answer her prayers as she is a wonderful example of what a mother is and wife.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Numbers Chapter 7, 11-12-2019, www.dailythoughts.com

"But the LORD said to Moses: Let one leader each day present his offering for the dedication of the altar." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭7:11‬

Twelve tribes of Israel, twelve different leaders and each of their offerings were identical each day.   Not one added or took away from what they were asked to bring.  Consistency in their dedication of the altar.  What is God's message in this, why did they each follow precisely down to the weight of each plate.  By the time Jesus was born their offerings had been altered, their ways had been changed by man.  When we look at the purity of what God intended it reveals truth, there is consistency in our worship.  "I warn everyone who hears the prophetic words in this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words in this prophetic book, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city described in this book." ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭22:18-19‬

What is God saying to me: My ways are simple to follow, reading My Word and pondering upon it, speaks to you.  There is hidden meaning in the depths.   May you have eyes of faith to see.

Dear Father, it is cold outside this morning, the winds are going this way and that but You are steady, You are direct and You fill my heart with purity.  I pray for consistency in our worship, for leaders to be guided by the Holy Spirit and the Word of Truth.  Prayers for a friend in the hospital, prayers for love, acceptance and forgiveness within their family.  You are Loving God and You can melt a hardened heart, I thank You for that today Father.  We are blessed when we trust in You and we are consistent in our worship of You.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Numbers Chapter 6, 11-11-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The LORD bless you and keep you! The LORD let his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you! The LORD look upon you kindly and give you peace! So shall they invoke my name upon the Israelites, and I will bless them." Numbers‬ ‭6:24-27‬

God's blessings be upon you this Monday morning, we have a lot to be thankful for.  In our journeys if we can always remember we are loved by God, He wants the best for us, He wants His face to shine upon us, He wants to be gracious to us, He wants us to have peace.  We must look up to God and be like that little child that seeks these things.  May God's Peace be upon you, give Him thanks.

What is God saying to me: live the life you are called to, dedicated to doing My will.   It makes looking up easier.

Dear Father, what a blessed morning to sit with you and know You are shining upon us.  It is you who gives us a clean heart, it is You that gives us joy in knowing You.  Prayers for a friend in need, may he see the blessings that surround him, may we all see the blessings that You give us.  As I take You into my day, may I live the blessings that You desire for me.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Angels, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 5, 11-10-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Tell the Israelites: If a man or a woman commits any offense against another person, thus breaking faith with the LORD, and thereby becomes guilty, that person shall confess the wrong that has been done, make restitution in full, and in addition give one fifth of its value to the one that has been wronged." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭5:6-7‬

Standing before God, we will all face God one day.  Our time here on earth is to prepare our earthen vessels so that we may stand before Him, clean and ready.  Nothing unclean can be in His presence, it will be expelled.  We are given confessions so we can be made clean, the slate gets wiped and we are given graces to sin no more.  The Israelites practiced confessions: "The priest shall first have the woman come forward and stand before the LORD." Numbers‬ ‭5:16‬.  Breaking faith with God allows a curse to enter, we do need the grace of confessions. "Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God."  Matthew‬ ‭5:8‬. God knows when we are cheating on Him, He is a jealous God.

What is God saying to me: practice what you preach.

Dear Lord, You do know how to call me out, I am thankful that we can talk like this.  Everyday is a new day and You are a merciful God who loves us conditionally, it is us who must respond to the call of drawing near.  Thank You Father for time spent with loved ones, thank You for bringing light into a difficult reading.  Prayers for someone dying from cancer, may Your Holy Spirit fall upon them and be healed, You are the Great Healer.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 4, 11-9-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"This is the task of the Kohathites in the tent of meeting: the most sacred objects. In breaking camp, Aaron and his sons shall go in and take down the screening curtain and cover the ark of the covenant with it. Over these they shall put a cover of yellow-orange skin, and on top of this spread an all-violet cloth and put the poles in place." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭4:4-6‬

What is sacred to you, stop and think about those things, objects, actions that are truly sacred to you.  The Levite's had God's work to do and had to follow strict orders or they would die if they didn't.  The Ark of the Covenant was the most sacred object, it carried the presence of God, it contained the word of truth.  It was central to all the Israelites did.  Back to what is sacred to you, is going to church sacred?  Is daily prayer sacred?  Is following God's Commandments sacred?  The devil works at ways to remove what was once sacred even using things that appear good.  The apple was pleasing to the eye to Eve, she ate it and the rest is history.  Exam your life and see what you consider sacred today.  Ask God to help and He will reveal Truth to you.

What is God saying to me: I Am central in your life and when you follow my guidance, I paint a vivid picture that is seen.  My Ark is the most sacred object not to be blasphemed.

Dear Father, Your image is painted in my thoughts, it is central to what I consider sacred and is what pushes me forward.  Reveal your truth this coming week so I may convey the message that You are giving.   Thank You for a successful evening Father, for a fun event that will bear plenty of fruit.  Bless this day, bless all those on the journey to what is truly sacred, You. Amen.

Mary, Ark of the Covenant, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 3, 11-8-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"For all the firstborn are Mine; on the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified to Myself all the firstborn in Israel, from man to beast. They shall be Mine; I am the LORD."" Numbers‬ ‭3:13‬

God has purpose.  Do we recognize the sacrifices in our lives, the challenges, the unforeseen that knocks off our feet.  We can choose how to respond, will we give it purpose, accept what is occurring that is completely out of our control and acknowledge You are at work, you are being sanctified.   God uses all the events of our lives for a purpose, some you have had control over, some you haven't.  I do not know who I am speaking to, but God does.  You have been heard and He has answered.  Slow down and offer it all up to Him, He is absolutely amazing.  God at the center, with purpose, it does not get better than that, glorify Him today.  You are blessed!!

What is God saying to me:  You are witnessing my creation, life has purpose when I am in the center.

Dear Father, I love You, You amaze me with the simplest of things, may I glorify You today.  Amen.

Numbers Chapter 2, 11-7-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The LORD said to Moses and Aaron: The Israelites shall camp, each in their own divisions, under the ensigns of their ancestral houses. They shall camp at some distance all around the tent of meeting." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭2:1-2‬

God is structured, He has a clear purpose and He gives clear direction.  From above looking down there were 603,550 men around the ark of the Covenant, the holy of Holies.  It resembles a monstrance with the Triune God in the center.  Is God central in your life, is there structure to your relationship with Him, is He leading?  The Israelites wandered the desert but not alone, they were fed and taken care of.  There needs to be structure to your faith life.  I know I repeat myself but a relationship with God is central to all that brings us peace in life.  Otherwise we have wandered off and are not within His realm of peace.  There is strength in God's structure, listen to Him.

What is God saying to me: You are not alone, you have experienced My love when you asked.  Each day that love is available, you have to ask.

Dear Father, You see all from above and hear our requests, thank You for the response of Your family, thank You for revealing Your love in a simple prayer that brings peace.  The world is moving fast yet You are at peace and offer this to us when we ask.  Prayers for a friend that is experiencing major changes, give him a sense of direction and give him joy, he is a good man.  May he hear what Direction You are giving him.  Thank You for this day Father, Thank You for the structure that You provide when we listen, step out on faith and respond.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 1, 11-6-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Take a census of the whole community of the Israelites, by clans and ancestral houses, registering by name each male individually. You and Aaron shall enroll in companies all the men in Israel of twenty years or more who are fit for military service. Moses' Assistants." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭1:2-3‬

Are you registered for God's army?  The house of Jacob went to Egypt with only 75 fit for service.  In a period of four hundred plus years, God built an army.  "the total enrollment was six hundred and three thousand, five hundred and fifty. ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭1:46‬.  This is only counting men over the age of twenty, it was a massive group of people.  It may appear that nothing is happening, but God is at work, He is preparing.  God's army doesn't fight in the traditional way, Jesus is at the helm and He fought and won without physically fighting.  Be battle ready today, God needs you!  "Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, and your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace. In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all [the] flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Constant Prayer." Ephesians‬ ‭6:13-17‬

What is God saying to me: You are battle ready with the Spirit of truth.

Dear Father, You are preparing each of us for the future.  Each morning You wake me up and are front and center.  You fill me with love for You, You give me hope for tomorrow.  Father, Your army is growing, the numbers are increasing and You will be exalted.  I am dressed for the day and You know what I need.  I thank You for emboldening others to join Your ranks.  Register.  Prayers for a deacon friend that is faithfully following Your call, prayers for a friend venturing out upon the water, You are enlisting those that are willing and fit for service.  Bless this day and be greater in me, Amen.

Leviticus 27:2-4 11-5-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When anyone makes a vow to the LORD with respect to the value of a human being, the value for males between the ages of twenty and sixty shall be fifty silver shekels, by the sanctuary shekel; and for a female, the value shall be thirty shekels." Leviticus‬ ‭27:2-4‬

Lord, why must I make these mental gymnastics trying to dig deeper, this chapter is not easy to understand in this time.  We are all in servitude to someone, there is no coasting thru life.  We are created equal: "God created mankind in his image; in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:27‬. We are equal but men in a general statement are physically stronger, when dedicated to God's temple in that time, there was a value placed upon what monetary value each would bring.

Have you made a vow to be dedicated to. God?   It has a value, if you have then you are in servitude to God, if you haven't then knowingly or unknowingly the opposite can be said.  Consequently, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh." ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:12‬.   We are owned by someone, we are better served being indebted to God, be dedicated to God, make a vow, be owned by Lord God Almighty

What is God saying to me: I love you (I know You do, way more than I can comprehend)

Dear Lord, this is not easy to understand and bring meaning to it today.  Help my understanding of that time so I may better serve You.  You have called me out of the darkness, shine Your light into Your Word so I may be of better service to You not that You need me, it is I that needs you.  Thank You Father for building others up, I see their strength and growth as they strive to know You and love You.  I pray for all dealing with cancer and anguish in their lives, may Your Peace be upon them.  Bless this day, keep us save in our travels and may You use me today for Your purpose.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 26, 11-4-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary. I am the LORD. If you live in accordance with my statutes and are careful to observe my commandments, I will give you your rains in due season, so that the land will yield its crops, and the trees their fruit; your threshing will last till vintage time, and your vintage till the time for sowing, and you will eat your fill of food, and live securely in your land. I will establish peace in the land, and you will lie down to rest with no one to cause you anxiety. I will rid the country of ravenous beasts, and no sword shall sweep across your land." ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭26:2-6‬

Obedience or disobedience, the choice is yours.  God spells out the benefits of obedience it is everything and person could ever want.  He also spells out the consequences of disobedience and they are all the things that no one wants.  Do we live in God statues, all of them?  Moses gave Pharaoh the choice and he did not choose God and he dealt with the pestilence that was brought against him so he may see the will of God.  We make the same choices today and will reap the outcome of our decisions.  I can't help but think some of the current events is God bringing the gospel to life.  "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:8‬

What is God saying to me: you are not alone, My Son walks with you.

Dear Lord, help me make good choices today, convict me with guilt when going against your commandments.  Thank You Father for being there in the darkness even though I can not perceive You, You are there.  I thank You for this day, for the opportunity to go and get it right.  May we be like little children as we venture out into the day being guided by a protective Father.  May we be obedient to You in right choices, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 25 11-3-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"even after having sold themselves, they still may be redeemed by one of their kindred,

For the Israelites belong to me as servants; they are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt, I, the LORD, your God." ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭25:48, 55‬

We are only passing through this time and place, we really are not meant to stay here.  "The land shall not be sold irrevocably; for the land is mine, and you are but resident aliens and under my authority." ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭25:23‬. We choose to operate under the authority of God or under our own.  We all learn the lesson of under our own authority for at some point our resources run out and we have indebted ourselves to the lord of this world.  It is Jesus, your brother, who has come to redeem you, He is the only one capable of redeeming each of us.  Once you have allowed yourself to be redeemed, you are where you belong - a servant of God.

What is God saying to me: You have been redeemed by My blood, make good use of the time I am giving you, it will not last forever.  The price is to be exacted in your life, freedom isn't free.

Dear Lord Jesus, You redeemed each of us on the cross, we were chosen to follow You into eternity, It is up to each of us to follow.  I thank You for this morning, the slow awaking to the day and the sweet sounds of love that fills my ears.  You are so good to me Father, may I remain with You this day, may I be a faithful servant with gratitude for the graces and rewards You have given.  Bless this day and bless Your servants with peace and joy.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 24, 11-2-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and when all who heard him have laid their hands on his head, let the whole community stone him. Tell the Israelites: Anyone who blasphemes God shall bear the penalty;" Leviticus‬ ‭24:14-15‬

Seems rather harsh doesn't it, being killed for blaspheming God.  Is God really telling the Israelites to stone him to death.  No, I am sure those that laid hands upon his head were guilty of the same sin.  "But when they continued asking him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." ‭‭John‬ ‭8:7‬  This young man was innocent, his father was an Egyptian and did not have the same understanding as the community but he was still put to death.  He was the scapegoat for their sins - "Laying both hands on its head, he shall confess over it all the iniquities of the Israelites and their trespasses, including all their sins, and so put them on the goat's head. He shall then have it led into the wilderness by an attendant." Leviticus‬ ‭16:21‬.  Some will point to this verse as a justification of God killing but there is more to the story.  Jesus was killed for the same sin of blasphemy, an innocent man.  We are no different than the Israelites when we condemn others of their wrong doing.  God isn't telling us to kill, he is telling us to drop the stone, remove the plank and understand self.  We are to place our iniquities upon Jesus and live Holy life's as best as we can, with God in the inside.  He does not expect perfection. "[Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, they know not what they do."] ‭‭Luke‬ ‭23:34‬a

What is God saying to me: time with me, is time well spent, you see your own frailties and I sent My Son for them.  He is your scapegoat.

Dear Lord God, You are so good to me each day pointing the way to understanding and knowledge.  I thank You Father for this gift and the ability to convey Your message.  I am far from perfect, You know all my imperfections and yet You love me anyway.  I pray for continued understanding and knowledge, for the desire to continue pushing forward and the compassion to be considerate of others and all our shortcomings.  I can not throw a stone for it is I that I will be condemning.  Prayers for a young family that is being devastated by a medical condition, Lord, You are a good, good Father, we pray for a miracle in this situation.  We trust in You and Your divine will, in Jesus name, Amen.

Leviticus Chapter 23, 11-1-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The LORD said to Moses: Speak to the Israelites and tell them: The following are the festivals of the LORD, which you shall declare holy days. These are my festivals:" Leviticus‬ ‭23:1-2‬

Today is the feast day of all Saints, a holy day of obligation in the Catholic Church.  To some these feast days do not make sense they consider it idol worship and that is understandable.  In Leviticus Chapter 23, God lays out holy days and what the Israelites must do on these days, not man's laws but God's.  They truly were feasts as the offerings were brought to God to offer up.   How do we do this today?  It is done in the greatest gift of all mankind through Jesus Christ.  It is the greatest feast that anyone can participate in and today we celebrate the feast of all Saints, those that gave of themselves unconditionally to God, some who died for their faith in Christ.  From the outside it may not make sense, from the inside it is a true blessing to celebrate God's Holy Days, for it is His sacrifice that sanctifies us.  Be blessed and I pray this helps.

What is God saying to me: Dine with Me today for one day you will dine with Me in Heaven.

Dear Father, what a blessing to see the celebration of the mass in the Old Testament.  I can't imagine not having You present when we celebrate Your Holy days.  Our intellect must be challenged and encouraged to understand Your divine will.  It is You who spoke to Moses who gives us days that are set aside to worship You.  Thank You Father for this vision.  Prayers for this day, that Your will be done in my life, thank You for the feast that You have prepared for us.  May we live life's of dedicated love honoring You in action, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.
