Leviticus 27:2-4 11-5-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When anyone makes a vow to the LORD with respect to the value of a human being, the value for males between the ages of twenty and sixty shall be fifty silver shekels, by the sanctuary shekel; and for a female, the value shall be thirty shekels." Leviticus‬ ‭27:2-4‬

Lord, why must I make these mental gymnastics trying to dig deeper, this chapter is not easy to understand in this time.  We are all in servitude to someone, there is no coasting thru life.  We are created equal: "God created mankind in his image; in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:27‬. We are equal but men in a general statement are physically stronger, when dedicated to God's temple in that time, there was a value placed upon what monetary value each would bring.

Have you made a vow to be dedicated to. God?   It has a value, if you have then you are in servitude to God, if you haven't then knowingly or unknowingly the opposite can be said.  Consequently, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh." ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:12‬.   We are owned by someone, we are better served being indebted to God, be dedicated to God, make a vow, be owned by Lord God Almighty

What is God saying to me: I love you (I know You do, way more than I can comprehend)

Dear Lord, this is not easy to understand and bring meaning to it today.  Help my understanding of that time so I may better serve You.  You have called me out of the darkness, shine Your light into Your Word so I may be of better service to You not that You need me, it is I that needs you.  Thank You Father for building others up, I see their strength and growth as they strive to know You and love You.  I pray for all dealing with cancer and anguish in their lives, may Your Peace be upon them.  Bless this day, keep us save in our travels and may You use me today for Your purpose.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.
