"So Moses took the rod from before the LORD, just as He had commanded him; and Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly before the rock. And he said to them, "Listen now, you rebels; shall we bring forth water for you out of this rock?" Then Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came forth abundantly, and the congregation and their beasts drank. But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Because you have not believed Me, to treat Me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them."" Numbers 20:9-12
Moses and Aaron had no easy task, every time they turned around the Israelites were rebelling. Yet God was still leading, guiding them and providing for them. God is clear in His direction, "speak to the rock before their eyes, that it may yield its water." Numbers 20:8c. In our frustration with a situation we must control our own reactions, God's intentions are for His words to bring forth the results not our actions. "Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him."
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
Mark 11:23. "Then he said to me: "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, and not by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts." Zechariah 4:6. There is power in the spoken word.
What is God saying to me: Do not doubt
Dear Father, I am at a loss of words this morning for some reason but it is ok as I trust in You. I pray for this day and it's outcome, I pray for the journey that a friend has begun may he find peace and answers in his new endeavors. May I remember to do exactly as you say and not add anything to it, we are all Your children seeking our way home. Bless this day and all it has to offer, in Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.
