Numbers Chapter 16, 11-21-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"Holding an assembly against Moses and Aaron, they said, "You go too far! The whole community, all of them, are holy; the LORD is in their midst. Why then should you set yourselves over the LORD's assembly?" When Moses heard this, he fell prostrate. Then he said to Korah and to all his faction, "May the LORD make known tomorrow morning who belongs to him and who is the holy one and whom he will have draw near to him! The one whom he chooses, he will have draw near to him." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭16:3-5‬

How quickly we forget the saving power of God.  You read about a group of men who, on their own, confront Moses, they challenge his authority.   You can see pride, ego, jealousy, arrogance trying to get in the way of God's plan.  I love Moses response, he doesn't argue with them, he humbles himself and turns to God.  Moses recognizes who the fight is against, he doesn't rely upon his own resources but seeks God for his strength.  Learning to humble ourselves and turn to God will relieve a lot of stress in our lives.  We can not change God's plans, He will do what He intends, it is much better to be in communion with Him then oppose Him.    Koran and his factions, stood in opposition to God, they allowed the evil one to get in the way, their way was not of God.  There is a reason it is a faith walk.

What is God saying to me: The fight is mine, turn to me

Dear Father, You know the faith walk we each make each day, You see the opposition that we face and how we respond.  May I be like Moses, humble myself and give the opposition to You.  You will lead us and guide us to respond in the right way that glorifies You.  May I recognize my own justification, my own desires and my faults and give them to You.  Help me not forget Your mighty power that rescued a sinner and opened up a new life that brings joy into my heart.  Prayers for a friend that is feeling lonely, help them see the joy of being loved by You.  You are Mighty God and we love You, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Faith, pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
