Leviticus Chapter 23, 11-1-2019 www.dailythoughts.com

"The LORD said to Moses: Speak to the Israelites and tell them: The following are the festivals of the LORD, which you shall declare holy days. These are my festivals:" Leviticus‬ ‭23:1-2‬

Today is the feast day of all Saints, a holy day of obligation in the Catholic Church.  To some these feast days do not make sense they consider it idol worship and that is understandable.  In Leviticus Chapter 23, God lays out holy days and what the Israelites must do on these days, not man's laws but God's.  They truly were feasts as the offerings were brought to God to offer up.   How do we do this today?  It is done in the greatest gift of all mankind through Jesus Christ.  It is the greatest feast that anyone can participate in and today we celebrate the feast of all Saints, those that gave of themselves unconditionally to God, some who died for their faith in Christ.  From the outside it may not make sense, from the inside it is a true blessing to celebrate God's Holy Days, for it is His sacrifice that sanctifies us.  Be blessed and I pray this helps.

What is God saying to me: Dine with Me today for one day you will dine with Me in Heaven.

Dear Father, what a blessing to see the celebration of the mass in the Old Testament.  I can't imagine not having You present when we celebrate Your Holy days.  Our intellect must be challenged and encouraged to understand Your divine will.  It is You who spoke to Moses who gives us days that are set aside to worship You.  Thank You Father for this vision.  Prayers for this day, that Your will be done in my life, thank You for the feast that You have prepared for us.  May we live life's of dedicated love honoring You in action, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
