"For they, among the Israelites, are totally dedicated to me; I have taken them for myself in place of everyone that opens the womb, the firstborn of all the Israelites." Numbers 8:16
Repetition, do you notice God repeating Himself in scripture, why is that? Why do we repeat ourselves, we want those listening to hear what we are saying, it is important. "For all the firstborn are Mine; on the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified to Myself all the firstborn in Israel, from man to beast. They shall be Mine; I am the LORD."" Numbers 3:13. Was Jesus a Levite? He was the firstborn and only born child of Mary. Mary, the cousin of Elizabeth, the wife of Zechariah, a Levitical priest. He was also the son of Joesph from the tribe of Judah. Our best learning comes from repetition, God delivers the message many times in different ways knowing that we will understand the importance. Allow God to excite your thinking through His word.
What is God saying to me: do you remember your times table, over and over again, it is deeply ingrained in your thinking making math easy. I likewise give lessons by repeating and overtime a new door opens up, the tapestry begins to emerge, continue learning a little each day.
Dear Lord, I love how you fire my brain to thinking by putting questions that I need to search for the answers. There is depth to what you teach, the Holy Spirit, our head master, gives the lesson and we the student must be attentive. I thank You for the lesson today, for the love that you give. I pray for a family burying their father and grandfather today, he is a good man that has done well raising his kids, bless them with happy memories, with the knowledge of knowing they are loved. Bless my mother celebrating another year of life, answer her prayers as she is a wonderful example of what a mother is and wife. In Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.
