Christmas 2020

"For the grace of God has appeared, saving all and training us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live temperately, justly, and devoutly in this age, as we await the blessed hope, the appearance of the glory of the great God and of our savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to deliver us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people as his own, eager to do what is good." ‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-14‬

Perfection, how do we attain it here?  Not sure we really can but the closer we come to follow Christ, the right order of things brings us closer.  Life has ways of throwing us curve balls and it is not perfect, not anything that you expected but in following Jesus each day, you are at peace.  You are being trained for the here and now as well as for eternity.  This Christmas may of not turned out as you expected, maybe it was chaotic, maybe things have changed this year over last, far from perfect.  But through it all, with the joy of Christ in your heart, it is a life given by God.  Our godless ways and worldly desires can steer us off track but with Christ as the North Star, you will regain that peace.  The birth of Christ is only the beginning.

What is God saying to me: You see what I see, continue on the journey, Heaven is perfection.

Dear Father, it is You that puts me at different places and times to see.  I thank You for the Star of Bethlehem making His presence known in my life otherwise things could of turned out differently.  As we continue to journey this Christmas with you, enflame our hearts to nurture the gift of joy that You have given.  It is much like a new born that needs nurtured and cared for.  Thank You Father for the graces that You provide each day, I thank You for the traditions of the Catholic Church that reminds us of what is important for a holy life.  Bless this day and time spent with family.  Prayers for those missing loved ones,  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
