Luke Chapter 22, Advent Day 22

"Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me."

for the Son of Man indeed goes as it has been determined; but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed."

"Simon, Simon, behold Satan has demanded to sift all of you like wheat, but I have prayed that your own faith may not fail; and once you have turned back, you must strengthen your brothers."

and the Lord turned and looked at Peter; and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him, "Before the cock crows today, you will deny me three times.""
‭‭Luke‬ ‭22:19, 22, 31-32, 61‬

Advent Day 22 - The Christmas Spirit.  As a child, I can recall the excitement and the anticipation of Christmas Day, it wasn't for the coming of the Lord, it was the coming of Santa.  We all can close our eyes and be transported back to that period of our lives.  Today, I have that excitement, that anticipation, not for Santa but for the Son of Man.  What once was real in my mind but now is fake has been replaced with what is real, the Bread of Life.  The story of Jesus is personal to each of us and it is looking into the eyes of Christ after we have denied Him that the Christmas Spirit becomes real because He is alive.  Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b

What is God saying to me: My Light will shine through, it will not be covered up by the darkness for I Am real and it will be no more.

Dear Lord, I hear You calling and asking me to get up, to get the day going.  I love reading Your story and giving purpose to it, I treasure the gifts that You give.  Father, You know my heart for You are there, may I live this day, this week, this month, this year, this life with the spirit of Your Son within.  Your words are spirit and life, they give meaning to our step if we would but listen.  Prayers for those who have yet to look into Your eyes, give them faith and courage to do so.  Bless this day, bless the little ones with awe and excitement for this time of year.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Victory, pray for us.
