Luke Chapter 16, Advent Day 16

"Abraham replied, 'My child, remember that you received what was good during your lifetime while Lazarus likewise received what was bad; but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented." Luke‬ ‭16:25‬

Advent Day 16 - Count your blessings.  Where do your thoughts turn to when you see someone in need?  Do you see the naked and hungry, do you see Lazarus or do you see a beggar being lazy.  Realize what you have is a gift from God, even the ability to make right choices.  Look with compassion, see God in front of you and reach out, be willing to give if being asked by God.  Our troubles on this earth only prepare us for eternity, do not let your own self interest get in the way of seeing God.  Christmas is about the joy of the season, give the gift of Jesus to someone in need.  Remember you are receiving what is good, use it wisely.

What is God saying to me: I am sending you a helper, listen to him and read his writings, they are from Me.

Dear Father, help me see the need and act, may I not get caught up in my own self interests.  Prayers for the wealthy who look upon others with disdain not realizing there is a price to all the good gifts You give us.  Enliven within us Lord, the thought of You each day as we awake, bring hope and joy into our lives and a heart that sees what You see.  Prayers for Tony, may you fill his need Lord as he does Your will, I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
